  1. Hi, Shawn and Peggy, just wondering how book two is progressing?
  2. Hi, my player (yes, small town blues, not many gamers and those that do - do D&D) has just asked if our next game can be Runequest. Currently doing a short Harn game, and as we have never gamed RQ before, he thought the transition from one crunchy game to the other would work better. So I have the QuickStart, but would we be better of waiting for the Starter set (not sure how long a wait)? We can wait, as I have also been looking at Trudvang Chronicles. Other question; with the QS, and only one player, he is going to have to play a core character and a couple of sidekicks. What characters would be the best choices? Thanks
  3. Like the gm tips for noobs. Need more of that from the veterans. Thanks for the synopsis.
  4. The setting (Xoth) is also in the Blade of the Iron Throne rpg. Great game with some poor layout. More deadly combat than RQ.
  5. Yea, I was forced/felt forced to have to go and buy it the other day, just for that content. Felt a bit ripped!
  6. I did read many years ago, that the layout and writing of many gaming modules, is to create a pleasant read for the GM. More like a novel, as it was understood by publishers that many adventures never make the gaming table. So the idea is to produce a warm fuzzy feeling for the GM, but as a resource at the table, totally inadequate. It’s something I have always looked at, as I read material. Few seem to obtain that bar, as I am forced to dissect, and take copious notes, then flick between to two. Cut out the fluff and just give me the bullet points. Thanks for your review.
  7. Thank you Paid. This game is on my wish list for this year, but I don’t have the time to catch all fixes. So a list of all the bugs to watch for is gold. I did not get to read any further, as I wanted to post this straight away. Hopefully there is a good list of these with page numbers to help out a noob to the rules. ‘Thanks.
  8. Is the Harvest Bride adventure available?
  9. Hi, is there a rough time for the release of part 2? I would like to run it soon, but would like to make sure the series is out. thanks
  10. Hello, Does the term Militia suit this module, unless it means something different in the setting? When I read the title I am thinking the standard Earth model of this unit. But the book seems to portray them as full time police. Unless I missed something! Not a real problem, it was just putting me in a different mindset as to the PC’s being full time farmers etc and part time police/military, training once a week/month and called up in emergencies.
  11. Thanks, makes sense, and it did seem to break the easy process of buying. What I would like is the option to purchase all 3 printed and shipped together.
  12. Can it be confirmed if this is the same situation as previous printings - Valley of Plenty for example, where prior purchase of the PDF gets a discount on the print book? Thanks
  13. Printed book arrived in Darwin, perfect nick, thanks.
  14. Page 48. Sidebar - The Burning of.... Is some text missing?
  15. Thanks, I missed seeing them in the header.

Hi, I am just going to throw this in the pot, for those who may be interested, or have the book and had forgotten. Thieves Guild #5, has a comprehensive set of shield rules that tack onto the Thieves Guild rules. covers 7 different types. 7 different construction materials, including bronze. Combat techniques. Even turning angle. Sorry for the interruption and carry on.
  17. Hi, on pages 101 and 102, I have crossed of the Kallesra names marked in-correctly, but I was wondering what the rune symbols would be ? Thanks.
  18. I could get it to download, must be so popular it’s jammed up the system... ‘couldn’t- auto correct I missed.
  19. Could it not be released on JC for a small $ amount? (Without breaking copyright)
  20. Hello, I was looking to be able to supply some more detail to the events in the generator. Its a great system, but would have been better with some explanation of what these events are about. I did a internet search, but could not find anything. Is there a history book that explains what the Feint to the Sea Campaign, or the Building Wall Battle is for example. Just a brief description, maybe something that could be put together for the Jonstown Compendium, I imagine they events are all on record there. Thanks
  21. I have not been able to do more than skim the book, but I just read the blog page and I have a small request if not done already. My group size is one - player. We are both novices to the setting. I have one request of the developer’s, and that is some npc sidekick children with some background, to fill in the gap of a normal party. I only ask this (as I could do it myself, but not as good), as the writer’s know the setting and could set up friendships and animosity’s. I am sure other gm’s could find a use for them also, maybe in the same situation or with only 2 players (not sure what the default group size is expected to be). Totally understand if not possible, but just thought to put it out there. Maybe just take some from the play test and give some advancement notes so they can grow also. Thanks.
  22. Sometimes play test notes are a great addition in this hobby. Spring board for side-ways thinking. I loved reading, Dying Earth material by Ian Thompson, as he always included notes from play tests, to give a different perspective on how an event could play out.
  23. Woke up to this, congratulations.
