My Old BRP Conversions

During the playtest of Basic Roleplaying, my group and I converted tons of settings and characters to see how the system held up. While many were uploaded here years ago, most have disappeared. I thought my own copies had been lost to the corrupted hard drives of time, but some have recently be discovered on an old flash drive.

None of these were actually intended to be shared outside my group, and many were nothing more then an impulse conversion, an experiment so to speak. Here's hoping they will be of interest to someone out there.

I will be using this thread to link to them in the Downloads section.

The first is an adaption of John Carter of Mars roughly after the events of book three.

This one has been in the downloads section for a long while, but I figured I would link to all my creations so I can more easily keep track of what I have here. One of my favorite movie franchises is Underworld, so years ago I converted both Selene the vampire Deathdealer, and her lover Michael Corvin, the lycan/vampire hybrid to BRP.

As above, I have had the Star Frontiers stuff uploaded here for a while. However, I just found my conversion of SF-0 Crash on Volturnous, the Star Frontiers adventure that was included in the boxed set. So here is all my Star Frontiers stuff, including the missing pieces...

Thanks for sharing Rod!

No problem Clarence. Hope someone gets some enjoyment out of them. I still have more to go through and will upload new stuff as I find it.

I have this idea for a science-fantasy campaign, very GammaWorld-esque, which I plan to run using BRP (of some flavor; but straight-up BRP is a leading contender).

I hope and expect to use quite a bit of this material, so THANKS!

While I never owned any of the toys as a kid, The Micronauts was my absolute favorite comic book, and still is to this day. Baron Karza is an absolute bad ass, and was a real challenge to create in BRP.

This is another file that already exists in the Downloads section that I'm linking to here.

Sometimes during the playtest of BRP, I would get the urge to create a character from the strangest of places. This is one of these situations as creating Erin Esurance stemmed from watching too many television commercials. However, she makes a pretty good BRP character just the same.

Now, some new stuff rescued from the archives of my old storage devices.

While I have nothing against the Sanity rules of Call of Cthulhu, I don't think they are necessarily suitable for all horror settings when simulating Fear. Another horror RPG that I believe does it just as well, if not better for my uses, is Pacesetter's Chill.

Years ago, I translated the Fear Check rules to BRP for a yearly Halloween BRP Chill game that I ran for more then a decade. Here are those rules, along with the rules for Sensing the Unknown. These rules are written by Michael Williams and only converted by myself.

Also, here is one of the adventures that I converted to BRP during the playtest. The adventure is only converted by myself, and I do not claim ownership of the material.
