  1. Hey @Vittoriano, I noticed on your profile that you have an interest in Roman history. Alephtar Games used to sell a fantastic book on Rome that used BRP mechanics called aptly “BRP Rome”. Alephtar Games no longer has rights to the material as I understand it, as the book’s author, Pete Nash, eventually ported the book over to Mythras where it is now available from The Design Mechanism. I typed all that just to say that you might have an interest in tracking down a used copy of BRP Rome.
  2. I don't know where an editable character sheet for BRP is, though I wouldn't be surprised if there is one... However, I wonder if @RosenMcStern of Alephtar Games might have a Italian version of the character sheet about somewhere... Any ideas Rosen? Also .... The download section of this site has several character sheets including a few that can be edited if you have a PDF editor, and one that can be edited with MS Word. There is a MS Word version here that is editable -> https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/270-word-version-of-my-crappy-brp-sheet/ Here is a PDF character sheet that seems to be editable if you have PDF edit software. I used FlexiPDF… -> https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/81-brp-character-sheet-11e-fillable-form/. Here is another one -> https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/318-generic-brp-charsheet-wh-40k-no-san-fillable (but I get a warning that this file also has JavaScript). Here is another one (that doesn’t have JavaScript) -> https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/308-brp-fantasy-character-sheet/ and here is one from Pansophy, that matches the char sheet in the original book -> https://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/230-brp-genuine-sheet-fillable/
  3. Thank you! I’m surprised more people don’t talk about this book here - it looks like it would add a lot of depth, fun, and possible plot hooks to any CoC game!
  4. You might check out Heinrich's Call of Cthulhu Guide to Character Creation - https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/385321/Heinrichs-Call-of-Cthulhu-Guide-to-Character-Creation I only recently found out about it, but its rapidly ascending to the top of my must buy list... PS - Also see here -> https://basicroleplaying.net/basic-roleplaying-workshop/basic-roleplaying-additions-supplements/life-path-character-generation-brp-zero/
  5. Hey Paul, earlier I was able to download your casefiles for The Funhouse Mummy and Stolen Hertiage but I am no longer able to do so using either Firefox or Chrome. I wouldn't have noticed, but today I tried to download Fiery Vengeance and it failed so I checked the other casefiles as well. I am using this link -> https://pauljfisher.com/rpg-casefiles/
  6. Chris, I truly wish I had just 10% of your’ creativity. Since joining BRP Central around 2015, I have devoured your frequent contributions, and miss those days when you, Ben Monroe, @Chaot, and others engaged in long, intense discussions of Magic World. Magic World was my first BRP game and I learned as much from the discussions on this forum as I did from reading the MW core book. Good luck with Quasar! I will be first in your inevitability long line of customers!
  7. Thanks @Jason D! I will make good use of this!
  8. Wow Jason! It sounds like it was an EPIC game! You may be running this all out if your head, but if you do have an outline or notes (or anything really). I sure would appreciate a copy. One of my groups reads this forum and a lot of Moorcock but my other group would be utterly defenseless to these machinations! 🙂
  9. I found an online database of Delta Green scenarios comprising many, many, many scenarios I was unaware of. See it here -> https://www.dg-scenario-database.com/?fbclid=IwAR3clgwjUlrZbm2Xuo-MYEkHQLbTxL4XXcvnajYx9cB_RyHUbBKtLPRfZcg_aem_th_AV5DjuPCkXzXxkDJubbJyEsnUsAv31_svYJ5nwmfps8r5qAgIQIlm2RHZaWKw9Fh4XU This is awesome!
  10. It really is. I’m hoping to run a game where the Greek gods of myth, who have lost power due to their worshipers falling away, provide one last mission to the PCs to restore them to power.
  11. I don't have anything against the new version of Agon, but they removed most of the mechanics from the first edition that made the game special. I think I will stick with first edition.
  12. A long time ago, I think in 2015, I saw a post indicating that Pete Nash of Mythras fame was working on a book where you play heroes in mythic Greece. I haven’t asked about it recently but I don’t doubt it’s still progressing. If it turns out as good as BRP Rome it will be worth the wait. I also understand that Chaosium has a completed document for a Homeric Greek game using Pendragon rules but it has a lot of stuff ahead of it. The original title was Before Iron but now it’s Myrmidon. Others pointed out Diadochi Warlords for Mythras but there is also Warliords of Alexandria for BRP by Zozer. I understand that the two settings are mostly the same with just the rules being different I also would recommend the first edition of Agon (not the newer kickstarted one). It’s not BRP, and it’s a little “different”, but every element of that game is designed to deliver Homer’s Greece to its players. I haven’t played it yet but I understand it’s incredible!
  13. Ah - I see! You’re basically trying to build a case to win over your D&D group! I can see how your approach could be effective, especially if your players tend to think of gaming in mostly D&D terms. The only compendium of BRP spells I am aware of is Call of Cthulhu’s Grand Grimoire and it seems ill suited for a D&D style fantasy setting (at least the ones I have been involved in). Having said that, I did create a table in Microsoft Word that aggregated and summarized some of the spells from the Big Gold Book, Magic World and Advanced Sorcery that I though my novice players at the time would be interested in (they were playing D&D 3.5 previously). PM me an email address and I will email it to you (assuming. I can find it on my laptop - it’s been nearly a decade). It probably only summarizes 30 or 40 spells but they tended to be tactical / battle style spells like the ones my D&D players were used to.
  14. Just to make sure I understand… You said you are 87 pages into making a master list of spells. Are those spells from your D&D campaign that you have converted to BRP or is that an attempt to compile all the spells across all relevant BRP variants (Big Gold Book, Elric, Mythras, OpenQuest, Magic World, Renaissance. etc.)? In the first case you might want to check out Classic Fantasy for Mythras from The Design Mechanism as the author has already done the conversion work for a lot of D&D spells. Also a quick look at their site suggest there is a second book available called Classic Fantasy Expert Set which offers even more spells. If you are trying to compile all BRP spells or all BRP fantasy spells then I wish you luck. That’s going to be a large task!
  15. That’s wonderful news especially with so many companies shipping POD versions these days. I can’t wait!
  16. Thanks Ian, for that link. It was a great article and though it led to me making a three hour deep dive on things related to Traveller, it was all very useful. I’m going to check out Pirates if Drinax today and will likely buy it to run in M-Space.
  17. Well, since I have been “mostly” reading scenarios / adventures that I plan to run in M-Space, they could be for any variant of Traveller, however 90% of the stuff I’m reading (particularly ship design stuff) is for classic Traveller (3,black books). Mongoose has a good bit of stuff out there for thru version but classic Traveller has way more. Note I am thinking of buying Pirates of Drinax from Mongoose though. Sounds to good to pass up!
