The Golden Dawn is really a unique and incredible book and it was my favorite Gaslight book till H&B came out (now it’s probably a tie). The problem is that it’s getting more and more rare. I purchased a used copy three years ago and it still cost me three fingers and a pint of blood. Of all the books that need to be republished this one has to be at the top. Check out Stygian Fox’s Gaslight settings and scenarios chief of which is the setting book Hudson & Brand , Inquiry Agents of the Obscure. I think you will find Stygian Fox is now the leader in all things Gaslight (by a LONG, LONG shot) and that will be even more pronounced I bet when the next Hudson & Brand book comes out. You know I have been looking for a way to do freeform magic WITHOUT the magicians becoming all powerful. Eliminating the automatic getting of MPs and replacing it with mechanics to harvest MPs seems to fix the problem. May I steal your idea for my freeform magic brp rules?

Speaking of showy effect on fumbles, using The Second Way rules, one of my players creates a 4 foot hole in space and time for 40 minutes. Everything nearby including the party got sucked in.

I have heard Rogue Mistress is a huge railroad... Is that true? Did you do anything to make it less linear?

I don’t know how many more D&D races are written up for BRP but there might be a few more in Toxandria and also Age of Shadows. Also The Big Damn Book of Monsters (if you already have a copy) will definitely have Drow written up. There was also 3 volumes of All the World’s Monsters and 2 Volumes of Monsters from Legend (Mongoose) that might be helpful.

What a genius move! This will give you a whole bunch of high quality CoC materials to sell and I would imagine there might be some pent up demand. I have several of these but I will probably fill out my Cthulhu Britannica selection!

The Unknown East with some common house rules works well for a fairly low power, somewhat flexible and easy system to use. It’s challenged if I remember right by having fixed parameters for things like range and duration. The Second Way addresses those issue at the cost of having to use charts for range and duration
