  1. Could you tell us a little bit about how Jackals magic system works?
  2. Well said @Simlasa! I think Super World could for the most part do Iron Age comics.
  3. I think the first release of the PDF was on 5/13/15 so the one you see would be the later revision. Also there was a 2 page errata document from December of 2014. Hopefully most of those corrections made it to the newer document.
  4. I think I might to have to respectfully disagree as I have both. Golden Dawn is TRULY excellent but Hudson & Brand is at a different level in my view. I have faith that the new Cthulhu by Gaslight will be a wonder but it’s going to be very difficult to eclipse Hudson & Brand.
  5. I can’t answer the question but it might depend on the superhero age you are trying to simulate. I would think BRP/Mythras supers would do Iron Age gritty just fine. Not sure about 4 color though. Plus there are only 3 or 4 BRP superhero games out there that I know of, SuperWorld, Agony & Ecstasy , the new Mythras book coming out and Elder Godlike. Not a lot of choices!
  6. Wow! Nice to see Magic World getting some love! Thank you!
  7. I forgot. Better go get flowers! We have to be the only Americans celebrating this holiday.
  8. Wormwood Arena is also good. And if you’re into shotgun scenarios try Schrodinger’s Dilemma.
  9. I don't have Pulp Cthulhu, how strong is the Telekinesis? Can you throw a person through a window? Maybe do something with knives?
  10. Does Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets counts? He wasn’t a psycho but he had multiple problems. And the recent movie Joker portrays a very realistic version of psychopathy.
  11. The Second Way is really only for people that want an Ars Magica type world but using BRP rules. For most people I would recommend Deep Magic with revisions found on this site. So please tell us a little bit about your game. Does it use BRP style rules? What’s the setting like? You might also post on rpgpub.com. Lots of BRP enthusiasts and everyone is very helpful.
  12. Very nice, clean and simple. I like the fact that you made it landscape and I love the name of your game!
  13. Free form is cool but I have always been concerned that Malstrom’s magic is to weak and limited. Deep magic is cool though. The Second Way magic, on the other hand, is on the verge of being game breaking.
  14. Magic World in PDF is still available on DriveThruRPG at least for the moment.
  15. Loyd, The Second Way is a freeform Magic system on this site that allows very long duration spells if you have the magic points to fund it. As a matter of fact nearly everything about the spells can be adjusted with magic points.
  16. Let’s hope so. I preordered so I will know in May (if it is on schedule).
  17. Yeah I guess it's according to what your perspective is and what you think Magic World's niche is. I was thinking of the fact that it's a rules light BRP implementation that uses total hit points. It also has a detailed setting, far more detailed than than the one in MW, but you wouldn't have to use it. Plus a big campaign book is coming out in May. I should also mention I really like Sword and Sandals so its a natural fit for me.
  18. I wonder if Osprey would be willing to do something like MU with Jackals. It has a lot of the same appeal as Magic World but much better production values. Jackals might be the new Magic World. What do y’all think?
  19. Nick get's it exactly right here. I find the Elric! and Stormbringer 5 rules just right for me, but Elric of Melnibone can't be beat for setting description. You really need both.
  20. Man a character with The Shadow’s capabilities would rule over the occasional cultist!
  21. I have some of the material saved. Anything in particular you are looking for? Note I would upload it but I have been asked not to do so.
  22. I don’t know the answer but you can find vampire and werewolf in some of the BRP beastiaries and those should plug right in. You could start with The Big Damn Book of Monsters by our own Chris Tooley ->
