  1. Is there any update on Destined? And do you need Mythras to play it or is Mythras Imperative sufficient? Thanks. 🙂
  2. Counterpoint: is the combined attack/parry into a single value markedly different from non-combat skills which may include both theory and application of knowledge, and at advanced levels the generation of new approached? Fine degrees of differentiation of combat skill types (sword-fighting would be the sum of defensive and offensive application for example), versus a broader skill definition for other skills. 🙂
  3. That is what i hoping for essentially, plus I have always enjoyed the elegance of the BRP skills experience mechanic
  4. As this may become a self-published project, I am mindful of the exclusions of SRD. At its core SRD is a better fit for what I have in mind than Mythras as th underlying engine. The add-ons/changes will be a psychic powers system and changes to combat.
  5. Thanks DreadDomain and Atgxtg, that is helpful. 🙂
  6. Hi guys. I have been away from the forums and BRP for a few years, but recently my brain has been percolating a new campaign setting idea which I may eventually self-publish. To that end, I would like to see some examples of games/settings published under the BRP SRD OGL - can you point me to such examples (not Mythras thanks, which looks good, but deviates from the DNA of BRP in instances I want to keep the BRP DNA intact). Thanks in advance. 🙂
  7. For playing a game, hard copy. If GM'ing, for writing adventures, sine I tend to do so at the PC, then i like an electronic copy for easy reference.
  8. I also wonder whether they (Chaosium) will wait until the sell-through physical copies they have before allowing PoD at Drive Thru?
  9. Swords of Cydoria is going to be a while I guess?
  10. When building up to a brand-new campaign do you find that you have accumulated more notes than you thought? I have had a year-long gestating project (that has not even started gaming!), and have started pulling together all my bits and pieces of notes (I tend to type stuff to small documents rather than written notes). Around 6000 words from the bits and pieces already! Lot of work to do, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount I have done so far. Maybe in the next 6 months my psychics campaign will finally kick off! So how do you GM's go about your campaign development?
  11. Really happy to see The Green and witchcraft in there; 2 Monographs I was interested in but hadn't picked up. On the downside you can only rate and review items you purchase (which is understandable to maintain credibility of reviews), and not itmes not bought through Drive Thru. Still, I foresee some upcoming orders for me.
  12. Mixing and matching can lead to a sense of differing scale of power IMHO. Also, defenses in the Super Powers category are ultimately very expensive as written, and I felt there was a disconnect with the attack power costs.
  13. I read flip flop combat rolls and had a whole different thought buzzing around my head; fighting in loose fitting beach footwear. Sorry. I'll get my coat.
  14. Thanks for that nclarke. Another added to my shopping list.
  15. Are they in line with the rules in BRP, or something else (like a whole system? Thanks.
  16. Thanks Evil schemer. Will try and pick the book up sometime.
  17. Hi; just a quick question - with the powers systems used, are there any additional rules (in particular the psionics rules)? Thanks.
  18. Thanks; primarily looking to build on the base BRP psionics so wil investigate Swords of Cydoria.
  19. Hi guys; working on a campaign setting for my gaming group which will heavily feature psionics, and while working up some extra rules/refining rules I had planned to use for something else, it has only now occurred to me to throw the question out to you guys if any of the monographs feature expanded rules for psionics? Thanks in advance.
  20. Glad things are sorted out; the redirect had me concerned. Thanks from all of us for resolving that.
  21. Picked it up at my LGS today; I like what i see so far, with some neat, simple mechanics for keeping things moving, as well as a fair sprinkling of staging tips.
  22. That could be something i use, cheers. Psychics are going to be a secret thing to begin with, but that would not stop one of the secret organizations that know about them classifying them in that way. Thanks.
  23. I think Psions could be closest to the feel of what I want. Odd question - anyone know of a citing web-site for new-ish words that *might* list any provenance of a word like that?
