  1. Indeed, but other mystic horrors are available! πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘»πŸ‘½πŸ‘ΎπŸ’€πŸ€‘πŸŽ…
  2. You could easily produce a rationale for executions and mass starvations to power enormous magical workings.
  3. I completely agree, but if you want to go that route you could have the cult providing a home for the Heortling female psychopath.
  4. I am an arachnophobe. I know that very few British spiders are dangerous, but that doesn't mean that I'm not scared. Knowing that emotion is illusory doesn't mean that it isn't powerful. The illuminate isn't enslaved to their emotions, but they do experience them.
  5. I don't understand why you want illuminates to be unemotional. Not being enslaved to your emotions is a very different thing.
  6. The advertising material assumes Western agents in a later time frame. It may be plundered, of course πŸ‘Ύ
  7. Available on kindle books if you can't find hard copy
  8. 'Duck' is an inaccurate and offensive slur upon the mighty Durulz! This is simply the standard approach of the entrenched anti-Avian Rune-ist system.
  9. I think that it allows you to accept that the human part is a social construct, and not implicit. Just to say, l have seen many racist 3 year olds when the issue is skin colour racism and the minority are very few within the population.
  10. The wild tangents often are the most interesting 😁 Now, Greg & the Wild Tangents, that's a great name for a Hunting and Waltzing Band!
  11. If you follow through on an Indian theme, then reading up on advaita might be errrrm.. illuminating! It is a totally different concept to that of the Buddha, leading to the possibility of a different form of Illumination. Nysalor, Arkat, Old Good Shadow, Draconic, Zho Lath Ey (sp?) are some of the mystic traditions that we know have had a role in Peloria, for example. Each form will have its own approach even if they are functionally indistinguishable to the commonality.
  12. A variety of crops and risk-limiting methods allowed sustained mixed agriculture and hunting in widespread settlements for some eight centuries before the arrival of the horse. The horse allowed a step-change in population concentration, but it was never a requirement for survival.
  13. According to the Wikipedia article on the 'Plains Indians' maize cultivation became widespread several hundred years earlier
  14. Try 'Declare' by Tim Powers. Cold War occult spy craft, not directly mythos, but...
  15. You just have to wait for a VERY long time 😁
  16. I weep for my childhood, polluted beyond repair.....
  17. What can certainly be referenced is Storm Tribe p203 or Sartar Companion p250. "After death, worshippers become agents of revenge sent by the goddess to earth to answer the curses of women wronged by men." I think that will include victims of rape.
  18. Zistor was far more closely associated with the forces of Law than those of Chaos. The OOO was able to activate opposition to a disproportionate focus on one aspect of reality.
  19. YGWV, but this seems a little absolutist
  20. No alloy was in question, but a suit of scales made of the different rune metals. As I said, like the maryannu armour which in some cases had alternating rows of bronze, tin covered bronze and enamelled bronze or tin.
  21. Since the majority of games I have seen described fall within a Prax-Esrolia-Peloria crescent (ish) it is worth appreciating that there are other very good and pragmatic reasons to avoid rape. Babeester, Vinga, Gorgorma. Transforming into a broo may be the least of your troubles.
  22. Thanks to all of those who have posted helpful replies. I will undoubtedly find a way to use them IMG.
  23. My thoughts being that they won't face cult restrictions on elemental metal use
  24. Sorry, my language was insufficiently clear. When I said that the illuminate constructed it, that was what I meant, not implying that they were a smith or enchanter themselves.
