    LEGEND

My take on all of this proliferation of RQ-like systems Crisis of multiple Runequests
  3. Shush enough of this toliet humour, because "In space, no one can hear you flush!" (OK I'll get me coat)
  4. Movement is happening at a very slow pace - currently with me and editorial. But should rev up in the new year....watch this space
  5. Meet the pre-order goal yesterday, which means everyone who pre-orders will get a copy of the first adventure module "Blood of the Dragon"
  6. Doh! Damn those typo Gremlins and bless you for pointing it out to me Gremlins purged, and D101's crack Gremlin hunters are hard at work rooting out the little buggers in time for the final release. Been a very posistive response to the pre-order, 75% of the goal has been reached with just over a month to go. So there's a very high chance that anyone who preorders will get a free adventure module http://www.indiegogo.com/Crypts-and-Things (in case you missed it first time out).
  7. Ever wondered what it is like to jump out of an aircraft 50,000 feet above a stricken oil tanker? Or how you’d handle defusing an IED? Or what it is like standing between a visiting VIP and that sniper’s bullet? Well now you can because The Company will put you right at the centre of the action. In The Company you play an employee of The Company – an elite independent Private Military Service Provider, a global security concern capable of dealing with any situation from a high octane firefight to the tracking down of serial killers. If you can think of it, The Company can handle it. The Company Operations Manual contains: • The OpenQuest rules engine – tailored to a modern day setting, and including combat rules covering all aspects of modern warfare, making The Company a self-contained game. • Simple Character generation – enabling you to go from concept to fully finished character as quickly as possible. • Equipment – a comprehensive list of vehicles and equipment, providing your character with everything you will need to prosecute a successful mission; be that the latest in covert surveillance or the most accurate of rifles. • The world – in which The Company operates within, the global flashpoint locations that Company Operatives may visit, competitors to The Company, Company customers and organizations that Company customers may come into conflict with. • Story seeds – covering a wide range of possible genre, from the classic war-story,adventures with corporate espionage, helping with disaster relief and close protection work. • Two example scenarios – ‘Operation Bluebeard’ and ‘F.I.S.H & C.H.I.P.S’ which will introduce you not only to The Company but to the workings of the OpenQuest rules engine. By Rik Kershaw Moore. 216 pages. Published by D101 Games April 2012.
  8. I'm glad that you liked the Book of Glorious Joy, its the first book that I've done as a hardcover and I'm very happy with the results myself. In answer to your question, YES River of Heaven will be availble in Hard-cover, as well as softcover, pdf and print/pdf bundles. The art is being handled by a proffessional artist so will be up to the standards of BoGJ
  9. Hmmmn The only pre-gens I have are the ones that my player's created for our games, which I would need to type up and check with them. Since I'm off to a con this weekend, it would be sometime next week. However I'm happy to set up a reposistry of pre-gen characters via the OpenQuest Companion.
  10. Crypts & Things is a Swords and Sorcery game based upon the class/level based Old School roleplaying game rules from the late 1970s, with the rules modified to emphasise the genre. Its a game where the players play Barbarians, Fighters, Magicians, and Thieves struggling to survive in the dying world of Zarth. Looting long dead cities, tombs and battling Serpent Men and their demonic allies. It is a world where action and exotic adventure is the name of the game. It takes its inspiration form the works of Clark Ashton Smith, HP Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock, Robert E. Howard and the gaming material of the early British role-playing publications of the 70s-80s. It is 150 pages long and is copiously illustrated with black and white pictures. Its now available to pre-order in a variety of formats (pdf, Print/Pdf bundles etc) over at indiegogo.com http://www.indiegogo.com/Crypts-and-Things Not only will you get the game before it goes on general release, but if you take part in the Pre-order and we reach the Goal, you will receive a free copy of the first adventure module for the game "Blood of the Dragon". Here's the cover by the supremely talented Jon Hodgson.
  11. Both the Savage North and Life & Death have six pre-gen characters in them.
  12. Yes, its in editorial now More updates and previews (Contents list, internal art etc), as things get finished off.

  14. Er can we change the whole "Published by Chaosium November 2010" to "Published by D101 Games Novemeber 2010" please?
  15. 16. Some of my fellow countrymen still harbour ill-will to our French , but I've always had a soft-spot to our neighbours across the channel. And it turns out that the French have a soft-spot for OpenQuest too, with not one but two games based off the OQ SRD If you want a copy of the OpenQuest core rules in French, a team from the Le Scriptorium have made your wish come true! OpenQuest in French My thanks go out to the following people involved: Translation : Arasmo, Mugen, Kurgan Layout : Etory There's also Alamander, which is a complete game with gorgeous art and layout based of OQ with bits of GORE and MRQ1 added. Alamander
  17. Wayhey!! Well done. Copies bought Hopefully it will turn up in time for Furnace,Oct 9-11th , so I can show OQ fans there
  18. I’ve had a couple of folk ask me if the lovely character sheet that Andrew Farman did for OpenQuest final was available for download. I had a quiet moment last night and uploaded the character sheet. Its now on the D101 Games site on the downloads section, listed as “OpenQuest character sheet v2 ” http://d101games.co.uk/downloads
  19. John is in the final stages of finishing off the writing (literally the last section tonight he tells me ) and once it goes through proof I'll probably layout the Introductory chapter as a preview as well as giving the contents list. In the meantime, lots of excepts on John's River of Heaven Blog : http://riverofheaven.d101games.co.uk/
  20. We are hoping to have it in your hot sticky paws by the end of the year. We will have a big stack of them at Dragonmeet. Oh here's the cover, by Jon Hodgson, by the way
  21. John Ossoway is nearing completion of River of Heaven, and we need playtesters to give it a good run though. If you want to be on the playtest email me at newt@d101games.co.uk asap
  22. Nah OpenQuest is OpenQuest and that's the way I like it. Besides I'd only have to add in stuff like Hit Locations
  23. I know you are upset here, but that's really unfair to tar Rick with the same brush. Rick has done good by both the HeroQuest and Gloranthan Classics line, and now that he's partnered with the powerhouse that is Jeff Richard, Moon Design releases are now nicely coming along both in terms of release dates and quality. I say this both as a fan of their books and as a 3rd Party publisher who has worked closely on a very tricky and sensitive project with them - a project that many other rpg publishers would not have had the patience and balls to let see the light of day. In short you can trust Rick
  24. That's exactly approach John Ossoway originally took for the scenarios that appear in the Savage North
