  1. I just edited my post. It's special characters at the end of the URL which mess it up. The special characters are "%C2%A0". Not the numbers.
  2. Maybe that link only works for you? Because it still doesn't work for me, sorry. It says "Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist". The problem seems to be special characters at the end of the link, and it works if I remove those (compare what's in the address bar of the browser of the original link vs the text in the post) - https://rlyehreviews.blogspot.com/2022/10/jonstown-jottings-68-how-humakt-learned_01655556913.html
  3. I seem to remember being said a while back that the GM book will have more on wyters.
  4. Yep, across the industry there are a lot of people who think they are good proofreaders, but being able to pick up a few errors here and there is very different from being a professionally trained and experienced proofreader (same applies for copy-editors). Right across the whole publishing industry (definitely not just RPGs) there is a strong temptation to save costs by using people who simply aren't as good at it as they think they are. Having said that, no person is infallible, professional or not.
  5. And we still need the updated versions of all the Starter Set PDFs, both at Chaosium and at B&M.
  6. From the QuestWorlds group on Facebook, back in January 2022 (see attached screenshot).
  7. How many (which?) other RPG publishers provide a publicly-available, constantly updated, list of upcoming products with dates? Genuine question.
  8. According to the Weapons & Equipment book:
  9. This was posted pretty recently on Facebook by Somone Who Should Know (either Jason or Jeff, though my memory might be wrong), so it's still happening.
  10. Both are true. The GM Book will have heroquesting rules, and there's a separate book coming out to focus on heroquesting. See :
  11. This started off as a totally unofficial list that I originally put together over on the now-defunct Glorantha G+ group. Over time it has evolved and these days we're lucky to have Chaosium staff updating it with dates and details as those become apparent, so it does have some official input. Even so, some details may be wrong (e.g. old info that Chaosium staff haven't changed) but a lot of this has been officially confirmed as you will see below. I try and keep abreast of things and keep it updated with new products (and delete items when they're released), but this is made a lot easier these days with that Chaosium help. Input on this is of course very welcome, because I may well miss things (since I'm not actually Lhankor Mhy). Please note - each section is not in expected release order, unless otherwise specified. 12. There's an errata file included with the PDFs. I mean that those two items aren't included in the new layout version. I've attached the file here, which I hope is ok. 289226-Errata.pdf
  13. I'm starting to read through this in PDF, and I'm loving it so far - great work! One minor point is that the "digital new layout" version of the PDF (which looks superior to me in terms of layout/design) hasn't had the two small errata incorporated, unlike the standard PDF. Would it be possible to update this, please?
  14. Any news on the updated PDFs that Jason mentioned a while back? https://basicroleplaying.org/topic/14879-runequest-starter-set-corrections-thread/?do=findComment&comment=244334
  15. Jason Durall said this on Facebook about the Prosopedia announcement: "It is the third part of a set with three components. It's just a bit bigger than originally planned. That's all. Not a new product and not (initially) a separate product" ... and ... "1. Nothing has changed with the publishing plan we've always talked about. Two big volumes plus the Prosopaedia in one slipcase will be the primary release. This was always the plan, though when we got the wordcount for the Prosopaedia we realized it really could use a nicer treatment than just the initial plain version. 2. For those rare souls who might want only a .pdf purchase, the Prosopaedia may be available separately. 3. We are discussing ways to make easier to purchase desired material in smaller chunks than a deluxe slipcase. That said, nothing is fixed as we still are at the mercies of the paper shortage, printer queues, and the global shipping crisis. Shipping and distribution have always had an element of unpredictability due to our sales model, and that situation has only gotten more drastic."
  16. "What Kind of Knight Are You? The Pendragon Starter Set contains everything you need to step into Arthurian Legend. Begin with a solo scenario to learn the core rules, and then enjoy 5 in-game years of group play in King Arthur's Britain! Coming soon." https://www.facebook.com/188186151341388/posts/2234475350045781/
  17. The current download from Bits & Mortar is still the original set and hasn't been updated yet. Have the Chaosium downloads themselves been updated? I bought my Starter set from my FLGS.
  18. Another rulebook excerpt: The gamemaster should always ensure that players have a say in the behavior of their adventurers, but players should also accept that high Passions and affinities risk being weakened through contrary behavior. This does not result in your adventurer being forced into a mold, nor is it the intention of the system to take away your ability to make decisions for your adventurer".
  19. The player is never forced into "mind control". The rules say the following about Runes and Passions that are 80% or higher (my emphasis): Such extreme Passions can require the player to make mandatory rolls due to these beliefs, if the gamemaster chooses. In general, the gamemaster has several options if the player has their adventurer do something inappropriate for the adventurer’s rating in a relevant Passion. It also goes on to say that the GM can choose to immediately reduce the Passion in such circumstances. It's there as an aid to role-playing, not as a mandatory straightjacket.
