  1. I offered to proofread any material for typos and to correct them but I've not been contacted for a while. .
  2. You need your eyes testing!>:-> Well, they sorta work. Unless you want to play a magic user, then prepare to get ugly as Chaos mutates you or messes with your persona! Aussie humour :ohwell:
  3. Nice article, thanks for linking to it Dragonewt:D I'm thinking what we'd get if we crossed a Dyll with a female deer. Would it be a Dylldoe?>:-> The Flumph picture, in the second part of the article, looks good. I'm going to have to put some stats to the creature and let my players meet this weird pancake beast! The Hurgeon reminds me of an old fantasy game that had giant killer penguins and hedgehogs, and elephant men in it. I think it was called Dragon Roar.
  4. And where's the flumph then? :eek:I'm gutted that you could ignore such an important DnD monster!;-(
  5. I'm glad that Sword & Spell is more BRP than DnD when it comes to game system. Solinor's magnum opus is too heavy duty for my tastes and makes my brain melt when I consider the possibility of using it. No disrespect to Solinor. It is just my taste as a GM. :ohwell: Levels work fine for me playing in a DnD game, but I am not keen on the concept in a BRP based dungeon bash. I'm glad to read that you haven't adapted this for Sword & Spell.
  6. Threedeesix what do you think of Solinor's efforts at D&Ding? Heres a link to his file BRP Central - Downloads - D&D/BRP D&C Do you have character levels in your homage?
  7. Thanks for describing your setting. I'm expecting you to write a monograph some time in the near future;)
  8. "Avolawn: the second rise of man" Can you please tell us about this game setting?
  9. The Green appears to be humanocentric, from the files I've read, so its use as a lost world or planet of transplanted humans and plants wouldn't be hard to do. Planetary romance would be a good genre for the setting. The Green could be Venus from Space 1889. Wasn't there supposed to be a proper Chaosium publication with pulp planetary adventures in it?>:-> I wonder what Jason Durall's version of Venus is like and if The Green would slot into that setting?
  10. Thanks for updating me on your monograph. Good luck with finishing it.
  11. Do you have Remove Curse and Cure Disease in C&C?
  12. We could do with some more spells for the Magic rules in BRP. Spells such as Cure Disease are missing, though you could enhance someone's CON to fight off an infection it does not seem the same, and I hope that soon to be published monographs will fill this gap.
  13. Can we have an update on how this monograph is going? Will it be ready on time?
  14. From what I've read there aren't any elves or dwarves in The Green. The Bog Trolls I'm sure you could convert to something suitably Lovecraftian or not. I didn't misread your post. I'm trying to say that the background to The Green is versatile enough to fit into any fantasy setting, including Lovecraft's Dreamlands.
  15. The level of realism in the background below is what I like;) The Garden Universe I'm an FTL junkie and I haven't kicked that habit 'cause its fun!
  16. Having been priviliged to read some of the prepublished files I'd say that The Green reminds me most of Runequests Glorantha in its cultures, though Zoogs might not be out of place there and I think I'm going to put the little beasties in my game of The Green.:thumb: The ideas are really cool and exciting. I think that Puck should have gone to Chaosium to get this done as a proper publication, not as a monograph. But that would delay its release for a much longer time.
  17. Mangled by my online translator, it comes out as: "Drive out many more scales" This one translates as: "I to be mongoose" Which sounds very Shakespearean.:thumb:
  18. I'm glad that the parody is out and homage is in. May Gygax the Great guide your hand and Almighty Arneson inspire your writing!:thumb:
  19. So what would be a good latin motto for Mongoose?
  20. Every gamer I talk to prefers Pathfinder to 4e. I'd prefer to run Sword & Spell (when it is published)than any version of D&D though. D&D as a mainly online game looks like a good prediction to me.
  21. ORtrail, just what creatures are in this monograph? The description on the link doesn't tell us.
  22. I've donned my safari outfit, sprayed on too much mosquito repellent (cough! cough!)and have sharpened my machete. Now I'm ready to navigate the viridian sea that is The Green!
  23. Please don't forget about your monograph. If you need help on various things I'm sure that we could all chip in to help you get it into finished form.
