  1. Right, but Humakt and Yelmalio are not on the known list of cults that allow sorcery. Jeff answered that Eurmal, Lhankor Mhy, Issaries, Chalana Arroy and many others are possible, but that we need to wait for the new GoG to obtain the full list. Of course, we know that the invisible God and the Seven Mothers are in the list, but for the others, we have to speculate. My personal guess is that Humakt may allow in Oktorion and perhaps in the Aeolian church of Heortland, but not Yelmalio.
  2. According to rules p79, the elective percentages have to be put to skills. For the like of '(Sorcery spell) +20%' (p70 for the philosopher), I understand it that it should be added to a spell the character already has, but you are right, nothing forbids to put it to a new spell. This would not be tons, because this is only 3 bonuses, but it could be used for 3 new spells.
  3. I would say 'Yes', but be careful, you have to obtain a success (with a probability of less than 95%) in the POW vs POW resistance roll. I don't remember if it was already the case in the previous iterations, but this makes it far more difficult for low POW characters to obtain a POW gain roll than in RQIII.
  4. Please delete, wrong button.
  5. Don't forget the simplest of all (presented in the pregens, Sorala has 20 INT): Using the runes to go above the starting limit.
  6. Nice and Interesting. Is it for Heroquest or Runequest? What year is the setting?
  7. The reduction is applied in all opposed rolls, including spirit combat (RQG p142 to p144).
  8. Yes, in addition to the (new) gains with worship and battle.
  9. In our last RQIII campaign, one guy wanted to keep his (metal) armor to sleep. Ou GM ruled that he can't sleep. And not sleeping meant being unable to recover from fatigue. RQG has no fatigue rule (or if it has, I haven't found them), but a hefty malus on all activities can solve that: -30% for a missing night, plus another 10% for each 2 or 3 extra hours of unrest.
  10. OK, I got it. DHL driver deposited the parcel at a local supermarket. Wow, it's heavy. Well protected, nice. Now, let's read. It's gorgeous. So nice.
  11. DHL did not show. They were supposed to be there between 9:00 and 18:00. Time to dress like Sherlock Holmes and find the parcel.
  12. It's a bit more complicated than that, but yes, there is more incompatibility in Spirit than in Rune magic.
  13. Mine is scheduled to be delivered on Friday. I find it ironic that Royal Mail is using Deutsche Post for deliveries in France and La Poste (French Postal Service) in UK and Germany.
  14. I think the reason is 'compatibility with RQ2'. Joke aside, I think you are right and 'equivalent' does not mean 'same', so it should be legal. After all, it is not written 'forbidden'.
  15. That one is a bit too far away. Norden is 'just' 1144km and 11h30 from home.
  16. Runic extension: Yes, RP can not be recovered before the end of the spell they powered. Shamanic spell extension and Sorcery duration: No, MP recovery is not changed.
  17. Among the proposed choices, my expectations are clearly for Heroquesting and Sorcery rules, so GMs books.
  18. According to RQG p195, the fighting retreat takes 1 full round, so you are disengaged after SR12 (or 6 if mounted and your opponent is not), but the 'flee' option has no duration.
  19. I think that those initiated to a cult can have normally. Those that are only Lay members should not. I don't think that the fact of being an Aeolian can change anything on that matter.
  20. I don't understand it that way. SR are describe as NOT being a measure of time spent, but a mean to determine the order of actions. Note that I am no defending this position: I would prefer the RQIII way of doing (3m/SR for moves, and roughly 1.2 sec per SR) because (among other points) there is much less ambiguity like these.
  21. I would also say 4, but unfortunately, there is not anymore the 3m/SR in RQG, so all of David's movement would be in SR6.
  22. Impossible to place order: Something's gone wrong. An unexpected error has occurred.
  23. OK, thanks. I think this is what was called 'Henotheist Church of Oktorion' in an old Tradetalk.
