  1. Its doubtful Trifletraxor. I dont really think there is much demand for more B61 stuff. And moving across the globe to a new job isnt helping much. Heck I cant even make time to play a game, let alone make more.
  2. For me it is presentation. Lets face it, the core book is boring. It is unispiring. Dont get me wrong, I love BRP, have several of the games based on the system and supplements as well and some of the books are very enticing, just not the new one. A hardback book with a better cover, and more eye popping art and a better layout would draw much more attention. For example, the system presenting in Dark Heresy is a percentile system and overall very similar to how BRP works (for the most part at least), but the reason why the books sell is they are pretty and eyecatching and fun to read. In the new BRP core book, its just rule after rule after rule with some not so good artwork crammed inbetween.
  3. So, yeah, when? Also, anyone done any coversions for H.E.X.? Or Space 1889?
  4. Try writeups.org it is for the MEGs system, but honestly, for supers, its the only system you need. Sorry BRP.
  5. Get Microsoft Publisher, its fairly cheap and works very well for this sort of home publishing projects. Go to RPG now or Drive through RPG and look at Clipart Critters or Octavariate (spelling may be wrong), you can get lots of clip art of varying quality for low prices from them. Also look up Vshane on there as well, his art is a very good AD&D feel to it. For some samples check out Goblinoid Games' Labyrinth Lord, its a free download and includes said art style.
  6. I spend about 1 week a year visitng family in Thomasville, NC
  7. Fortunately you play BRP games, so there you go. Set your players up on a standard high fantasy game. Run a straight adventure or two. Then break out the other BRP books. Take your players through a fantasy variation of Masks of Nyarlothotep (please forgive me great one for mispelling your unholy name). Then revise some Superworld adventures, or other BRP staples. I for one think a dark high fantasy setting where the players must prevent Cthulhu from aligning the stars and unending the world would be fantastic. Especially if it was done on proto-earth and was the "un"official explanation why Cthlhu lies sleeping underwater. While I like Cthulhu Dark Ages, the trick is to mix it so the players dont know they are actually playing Cthulhu with swords. So have them make up standard fantasy characters, they dont need to know they have sanity points and what not.
  8. I found In Nomine to be quite fulfilling as a supplement for my mystical DC Hereos campaign.
  9. The DH to BRP characteristic conversion does not work. With your system the average character woudl have a STR of 6 once converted. It is better to do DH stat/3=BRP stat, so the average character stat of 30 in DH become 10 in BRP. As for WS/BS, I dont think that is their skill with all range or melee combat skills, as that just doesnt convert well. I would say that is the add to the base % of the combat skills that a character/critter has based on his or her talent and trait selections. So Guardsman with the talents of Wepon Training (Auto-Pistol, Las Pistol, Crossbow) and a BS of 38% would add +38 to the base % of Las Pistol, Auto Pistol and Crossbow. But overall I would have some kind of formula that calculates a character's BRP STR and DEX from DH Strength and Agility and then modifies them up or down based on their WS (for Strength) and BS (for Dexterity). To do a proper conversion would involve many formulas and charts to cross reference.
  10. What they should do, to doubel tap costumers, is offer a discount on the paper version if you buy the PDF version.
  11. I agree, Dark Heresy works fine as it is. Some settings are as much about the system as the setting. The system adds that Warhammery and 40Kian feel to the game. Even WOTC realized this when they made a D20 Call of Cthulhu. They pretty much decided to leave the Sanity/Insanity system as it was in BRP Call of Cthulhu for three reasons. A) It worked well as it was. It was a different set of mechanics then the main system which gave sanity a different and out of place feeling from the rest of the game, which is what they wanted and C) the Sanity system IS Call of Cthulhu. Making it a Sanity Save or Will Save just makes it another pointless Hit Point and D20 saving throw, which it is not. As for converting the beasties over to BRP, well, in general that will be touch as Dark Heresy relies on a set of extensive Characteristics, Skills, Talents, Traits and much more to create each entry in its beastiary. Dark Heresy also uses many more modifiers in the system, so a WS 35 isnt really a 35% melee combat skill, instead it is more like a 55%. You would have to go through each characteristic, skill, talent or trait to determine how it converts to BRP, add them up, tweak them based on background and non-discernable stats (like Sanity, San Loss, SIZ, POW and so forth) and then fluff them up based on personal preferences. It'd be easier to just stright out restat them yourself. But to do a W40K RPG using BRP, you would have to go from scratch.
  12. Its ok, I often call my Mistress a Princess as well.
  13. Never heard of this Rogue Princess, any links for it?
  14. Anyone done any conversions to BRP?
  15. Personally, for me, sci-fi needs a level of fantasy added to it for it to work, be it the Force in Star Wars, Empaths in Star Trek or the full fledge fantasy aspects of 40K and Fading Suns. In addition, many early D&D modules included alien artifacts and one was even a dungeon exploration where the dungeon turned out to be a crashed alien space ship.
  16. Running Elric/Stormbringer or RQ or some other BRP Fantasy game is highly recommended. The system is generally fast and makes sense and can be adapted to a high degree of realism/complexity or to simple and easy. And with books like Call of Cthulhu being BRP (as well as super world, elfquest and many many more) unique sci-fi space artifacts are just a flip of a page away. Go for it.
  17. Do you have further information on Skymningshem: Andra Imperiet
  18. Am I taking flak for not knowing the difference in guitars? Oh well, been through worse on the forums! Its just my nature as a photographer to see things like that as distracting, and not be able to leave it be LOL.
  19. I made/edited a GM Screen for DC Heroes years ago, used comic book images for the outside cover and a copy of the real screens interior on the, well, interior. I used paste to stick the images/charts to a Star Frontiers GM Screen and then lamenated the screen at kinkos. Made perfect sense since my first copy of DC Heroes 2nd Edition was a photocopied copy of a friend of mine's copy, which was also bound a kinkos. I used the home made screen for years, and it still sits on the shelf behind me. I even used the screen when I got my own real copy of DC Heroes 2E and even when I got my own Blood of Heroes GM Screen in 2002. (Blood of Heroes was the continuation of DC Heroes 3E).
  20. Is the Guitar running the game?
  21. Same dates that I have to work at the Beer Fest in Bavaria, shame.
