Runeblogger
Hi! I've published a review of Basic Roleplaying. 👈🤠 Probably you won't agree with it 100%, but if you find anything I could improve, just tell me please. 🙏 The review includes my character sheet for Indiana Jones (heroic level character), as an example of what you can play with BRP. Have I made any mistakes? 🤔 3 1 Quote Read my Runeblog about RuneQuest and Glorantha at: http://elruneblog.blogspot.com.es/
Mark Mohrfield
He has no points placed into the swim ability. The pistol, should be heavy rather than medium, IMO.
Mugen
It may seem like a good idea to take a well-known fictional character as an example. But, as everybody has his own view on what should be Indiana Jones abilities and how to translate them in BRP terms, you'll never be able to do an adaptation that pleases everyone. Among other things, IJ is an action movie hero, which means he has physical abilities far beyond a normal human being, on top of being a world class archeologist.
Runeblogger
You are right, of course. I was just hoping it could a long way to show how flexible the system is. I'm thinking of letting go some hit points through the superpower increase and spend them in several "Super Skills" more, like: +20% to Swim for a 54%, +20% to Brawl for a 100% and +20% to Whip for a 95%. Either this, or just apply the "Epic level" to Indiana Jones so he has even more skill points to spend. 1 Quote Read my Runeblog about RuneQuest and Glorantha at: http://elruneblog.blogspot.com.es/

He's a character in a game where the system is just "whatever the scenarist wants to work succeeds" and with no written stats. I's not a real person with real word data. In short : don't do any modification, it's already good enough. Perhaps calling him "Wyoming Smith", as an example of what an Indiana Jones-type could look like in BRP. 1

We've already got inherently-female names, so a "Carolina Jones" (Georgia, Dakota, Viginia) could easily roll in. Mark Mohrfield
Older editions of CoC mentioned an Ohio Jones in the automatic weapons rules example. He should be in the Classic edition reprint.

Other calibers he uses are .455 Webly or .45 Colt. He does use 9mm and other calibers on occasion, but he seems to prefer large caliber revolvers. 1 Quote Vhreaden: Blood, Steel and Iron Will is here!
