Dagonet
I first encountered KAP in 1985 when a friend bought the boxed set. I've always loved the cover art from that first edition. I read somewhere that the original art (or possibly the colour separations) turned up. Is there any chance of Chaosium offering a print for sale? I recall that CoC art prints were available back in the day. I had the one featuring a ghoul sitting on a headstone, to my parents' consternation. Dagonet
It always reminds me of the NC Wyeth's Arthurian art (here's an example). Very much the noble, idealized Arthur.

I suspect the rights to the art reverted back tot he artist (Jody Lee) long ago and that to make any sort of print would require some new arrangement. You might be able to find it on Lee's website. I actually emailed Jody Lee through her website about this, but never received a reply. The last update to the announcement section of her site lists an upcoming appearance in 2012, so she might not be using it much any more... Edited May 1, 2019 by Dagonet Added info. It is a popular piece and is over 30 years old. Quote Chaos stalks my world, but she's a big girl and can take of herself.
SDLeary
IIRC, there was a posting here a while ago from either @Jeff or @Rick Meints about finding the old separations when going thru Chaosiums old HQ in Hayward, CA, along with a boatload of other arcane artifacts. SDLeary That's probably what I read. Anyway, it remains my dream to have the art as a nice framable print.
Rick Meints
We don't have the Pendragon 1st edition original painting in our archives. Quote Hope that Helps,Rick Meints - Chaosium, Inc.
Rick Meints
The only Pendragon original art we have is a few of the simpler black and white pieces used in a few of the books. Quote Hope that Helps,Rick Meints - Chaosium, Inc.

I know I'm probably over-enthusiastic, but I really like the cover art of ALL KAP editions... Maybe you could sell good-quality prints of all of them??? Vortimer
I have been impressed with the quality of artwork for both Call of Cthulhu and Runequest. A book of artwork for Pendragon would be awesome.
