  1. Thanks for the heads up. I too read all of their blurb and it would be great for brand new sheets, and extremely difficult for older ones given infinite page lengths. For all, here's the page link to read all the comments: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/11230268/new-print-functionality-for-character-sheets and how to do it for those interested... https://help.roll20.net/hc/en-us/articles/10823045719063#media-queries-0-0 The best piece of advice being Think Like a Printer.
  2. The associate cult rules say: Cult Spirit Magic... An initiate can also learn spirit magic spells from an associated cult. (RQG 288) So preserve herbs is available to any initiates of associate cults of Aldrya and Chalana Arroy (via the Arroin subcult). Aldrya associates are: Chalana Arroy, Dendara, Eiritha, Ernalda, Flamal, Gata, Voria, Yelm, Yelmalio, Yelorna. Chalana Arroy associates are: Aldrya, Eiritha, Ernalda, Flesh Man (Daka Fal), Issaries, Lhankor Mhy, Orlanth, Storm Bull, Yelm. That should be wide enough for you to choose from if you don't just want to give them a matrix or have a shaman involved.
  3. Just become a lay member. There's no problem with that.
  4. Keep it simple, Issaries is the god of communication, roads, and trade. A one off bonus (+5%) to any Issaries cult skills: Bargain, Cult Lore (Issaries), Customs (any), Evaluate, Orate, Speak Own/Other Language (any), Speak (Tradetalk), Worship (Issaries). or increase one of the results of one of those skill rolls by one level. or auto success the casting of Issaries cult Spirit Magic Countermagic, Detect Enemies, Farsee, Glamour, Glue, Mobility, Repair.
  5. Yes. Flamal () is the father of Aldrya, but not an elf (no man rune, although is the source of the Plant form). Humans need to give 10L in gifts, have Plant Lore at 50%, and succeed in a roll of POW×5 or less on D100 (Flamal is in the upcoming cults book). Humans would use the Fertility Rune to approach him (elves, the Plant Rune). Bear Fruit () and Sprout () both use the Fertility Rune.
  6. Initiation into the cult of Aldrya is not a casual event for a non-elf, just follow this 16 step plan detailed in the upcoming cults book Failure in any part of the lengthy and difficult adoption ceremony means the death of the candidate. A non-elven candidate first must prove themselves to the Council of Elders with an average POW & CHA roll x5. Then must succeed skill test on 5 set skills. Then candidate must perform an unspeakable deed to their species, which is always criminal in every human sense (this is a secret kept from non-initiates). Then sacrifice 1 point of POW to Aldrya. Now the elves take the candidate, strip them, and carry them to a holy tree. With copper stakes, they nail the candidate to the tree, one spike per limb. With a holy knife, they first cut out thigh and upper arm bones and replace them with wooden sticks. Then they gut the candidate and rip out most of their inner organs. Plants, seeds, and soil are inserted in the hollow cavities. A hole is drilled into the forehead through the skull, and a dried root is stuck in the brain. Genitals are amputated, with seeds planted in their place. A sacred copper axe is then used to chop a slit in the tree, which opens and swallows the mutilated corpse. The wood folds around the mess and the metamorphosis begins. At the end of some number of days, which varies with the amount of damage the body sustained, the person will awaken, enclosed in a nut-like shell. This hangs on the holy tree. After breaking out of the shell, the new elf is welcomed by the cult. Much easier to stay a lay member.
  7. I can honestly that the very low CHA of Tusk Rider, and Cave trolls has caused no issues at all in my games (in published adventures). I can't comment on the three other types. Low personality scores and lack of leadership charisma, made the former very unlikeable and the latter pitiful. To me it just gives them almost a complete lack of social cohesion. This is opposed very nicely by the Dryad npc that is available, the complete opposite - very in control of her environment with doting followers (and she loves them). The players love her too. Note that quite a few of these NPCs ignore the CHA limit of Rune points (one of the tusk riders, and the Dryad).
  8. Who has time to generate hoards of NPCs, I use what is already provided or just use my cheat sheet, in conjunction with either an NPC and or a squad sheet from the GM screen pack. I've a few simple varieties of those sheets, like a broo one, and a scorpionman one. I really like the simple NPC boxes in the starter set, so I use those for lots of npcs, much like the CoC Keeper and Malleus Monstorum Decks.
  9. Over at the Beard and hair Guide, it's say the colouring is makeup or dyes. Woad is used, enchanted or not, but also other blue materials. Lapis lazuli would also give good colour combined with fat, and true indigo is likely grown as well as it's easier to process than woad. I suspect that woad is only used for ritual preparations or small amounts in cosmetics (see W&E 23) as blue dyes are considered exotic (W&E 32), and that other easy to prepare dyes and cosmetics are used commonly. Indigo is also used as hair dye (W&E 23), likewise cobalt pigment is also known (used in glassmaking in Clearwine). There may even be a regional preference for use of particular dyes and pigments. The art piece is called worship ceremony, the blue person is Vasana in the ritual with Argrath. She may have just turned blue in the ceremony (perhaps she rolled a special) as she is thoroughly immersed in the moment, with the rapture she begins to transform into Vinga.
  10. Only if you methodically generate your NPC's. Don't you just match them up to you adventurers, deciding if they are weaker the same or stronger? A tusk rider with 7 Rune points is far more magically adept than any of my player adventurers'. I'd generally not give adversaries 18 POW, as it makes it harder for the adventurers to cast offensive magic at them. Usually I just use the eight in the GM Screen pack, I find them good enough (the one with a POW of 16 and 49 magic points is really tough though).
  11. Redalyda is in the upcoming Prosopaedia as the Orlanthi Pantheon: Goddess of Horses, Goddess of Saird.
  12. You can read the current thoughts here. Perhaps each memory palace is its own plane. With a school providing crosslinking
  13. Erantha Gor is mentioned in King of Sartar: Erantha Gor, a terrifying incarnation of the Tarshite War Goddess in apparently mortal form. In 1455 Erantha Gor was defeated and killed by Blond Arim... A version of her helps Argrath bring down the Moon (from the 5th direction).
  14. So I had a quick scan of CHA types and they fall into these levels (arranged by average). As you can see, there are 5 with very low CHA, and I've included the groups that fall into the higher CHA groups for comparison. 1D6 (3.5) Brollachans Cave Trolls Harpies Magisaur Magnus Tusk Riders 2D6 (7) Broo Gargoyle Gorillas Hadrosaurs Huan To Maidstone Archers Manticores Minotaurs Pteranodon Satyrs Sea Trolls Trollkin Unicorns Wyverns 1D6+6 (9.5) Magisaur Mediocris 3D6 (11.5) The Norm 2D6+6 (13) Griffins Magisaur Profundus Mistress Race (Uzuz) Troll Wind Children 3D6+3 (13.5) Dragonewts—Second Stage: Beaked 4D6 (14) Female Ludoch (males 3D6) 1D6+12 (15.5) Fox women 3D6+6 (17.5) Dancers in Darkness Dragonewts—Third Stage: Tailed Priest 2d6+12 (19) Dryads 3D6+12 (23.5) Dragonewts—Fourth Stage: Full Priest
  15. Please keep to the topic rather than derailing it with Ducks. As has been mentioned they are not one of the peoples that have incredibly low CHA. I would suggest we are talking about peoples that have 1D6 CHA, as opposed to low 2D6. At the moment I can only see Tusk Riders & Cave Trolls.
  16. CHA is the measure of leadership and strength of personality. Tusk Riders are weak willed, squabbling people, and are a loathsome, bestial race which is, at best, disliked by everyone. Their Cult of the Bloody Tusk, glorifies combat and blood sacrifice. The religion is extremely cruel and brutal and provides terrible magic to the worshipers, at the cost of their victims’ souls. Their bestial nature is a great part of their CHA. Without CHA or INT they would just be vicious pack hunters.
  17. More importantly it was the very first Notting Hill street festival (which became the Notting Hill Carnival), this was also a revival of Notting Hill Fayre of a 100 years previously. If you are looking for a Russian connection, the organiser Rhaune Laslett was of Russian heritage. Likewise the local watercourse is Counters Creek which passes through Notting Dale, where part of the procession runs, which had a small tributary running in to it from the area. Lots of Rivers of London themes in there.
  18. Don't forget that we know exactly when Varvara stopped aging - August Bank Holiday 1966 (the 29th to be exact). It's very precise. From Moments One, we know that Mama Thames also appears that year, and Nightingale develops a spring in his step. Hugh's meeting with Nightingale is around that time as it's after the gypsies came for harvest. My theory is that is the aging link, the thames is reborn and her magic is causing the effect.
  19. Heortling Mythology gives us three Chalana Arroy heroes with Hero cults: The three Sisters of Mercy: Amprefesne - She combats the demons that cause illness Malamse - powers of overcoming injuries of the body Oronio - overcome illnesses of the mind. They will also appear in the upcoming cults book
  20. I'd suggest looking at how this is handled in Call of Cthulhu's using the Credit Rating skill.
  21. Balastor's Barrack's is still on sale (original, pdf & pod). Balastor was a rune lord-priest of Pavis, and Pavis is associated with Earth, Stasis, Harmony, and Man. So yes, Pavis (runes are the same in the upcoming prosopaedia).
  22. They aren't needed in the Core Rules. The Issaries Rune will be in the upcoming cults book: Most core Runes (25) are in the Runes section of the Core Rules, the remaining 6 are in the cults book.
  23. RQG has returned to the core runes: Powers (8), Elements (6), Conditions (5), form (7), partial runes (3) and combination (2) rune making 31 (unless I'm mistaken It's just reverted to RQ2 runes, see here. Shadow is only in passing with heat as none of the Gods in the upcoming cults book have shadow.
  24. Don't forget Styx Water is detailed in Plunder.
