  1. Is anyone else getting nothing when logging onto the Gloranthan Forums over at Moon Design? All I get is the the Banner/Title/Menu across the top, the side-bar on the right hand side and then the following on the left: [h=1]Forums[/h] [mingleforum] Forum Feed
  2. That sounds like a good list. Have a look at the Alternate Earth look in my signature, as that lists what I think is available for BRP/RQ/Legend/D100 Alternate Earth supplements.
  3. It makes sense to do that, if you have all combat information grouped together, including spells. I prefer 2 pages, front and back, so one sheet of paper with printing on both sides. Characteristics, Attributes, Skills, Spells, Hit Locations (where used), Name/Background, combat information It makes sense, otherwise you flip the page over when working things out. Constant erasing is a problem if you wear holes in the sheet. We tend to print sheets our every so often and change skills a little bit. It means updating the online sheet to match the paper sheet, but that is normally quick and easy. It makes sense, especially for allocating skills. I have a sheet with skills on the left and amounts on the top, so you can allocate points to each skill and have a running total for each skill and each points pool. Which is good. Most people prefer their own character sheets, anyway.
  4. An occupation a month would be OK, so one every 1.5 days is very good indeed.
  5. Howdy SokMundi - You will like the fact that it is easy to cobble together various BRP things into a workable Frankenstein creation, or an elegant set of rules, depending how things turn out.

It might not have angels, actually, but they are in BRP. I suppose the ranks of angels would mirror the ranks of demons, in some respects.

Merrie England has some of those, although they are for BRP they should convert well to Legend, as Merrie England was first written for MRQ2.
  8. But, on the good side, you have found out how to make transparent postings, which can only be a god thing.
  9. It looks as though you have a hanging [ /LIST] tag, which somehow seems to make the rest of the post transparent.
  10. Especially as impaling weapons used to do minimum damage against undead! They stick in, get stuck and barely do any damage.
  11. The way I'd do it is to have the zombies just walk in and ignore the weapon - they don't parry/dodge for a reason - they don't see the danger involved. Ah, like many of the previous posters. I'd also allow a successful knockback/barge/grapple to get past the weapon in the same way as dodge. On the point of keeping multiple opponents at bay, that seems fine, but every opponent would be able to make a dodge roll to duck under the weapon and once one does then the weapon cannot be used to keep the rest at bay. It seems very powerful, but is limited in practice.
  12. Well, my RQ6 PDF is 458 pages, compared to 404 pages for BGB.
  13. Sorry, had my grumpy-pants on.
  14. I'm with the "Vampire is an undead condition" school, so you can have vampire elves, vampire trolls, vampire humans and so on. RQ/Glorantha said anything that had the man rune could be a vampire, so I'd just say that anything that was once alive could become a vampire. Having said that, there is no reason at all why you couldn't then have a vampire that has offspring. Look at Blade, Twilight or The Originals for some examples. Just have the parent vampire being affected by some powerful fertility magic and a partner who is into cold and clammy.
  15. So, the proofreading omission was entirely valid, then. Next time get it right! Just checked to see that there are no errors in this post.
  16. One thing that is important regarding OGL is that it means that games need not die. If Mongoose suddenly stopped producing Legend, for example, then I could quite legitimately produce a copy of the Legend rulebook and core supplements under the OGL - It even says that I can in the Legend rulebook. Then, I could produce a series of supplements based on the Legend OGL without any legal problems. For me, this is a very good thing, as it means that we don't get stuck in the limboland that was RQ/BRP in the late Eighties and Nineties, where people could not produce supplements for fear of being sued or issued with a "cease and desist" order. At least, that is how I see it in my own naive little world.
  17. I can't see a Wiki page there, just the BRP Wikipedia entry.
  18. Well, http://www.soltakss.com/alternateearthrq/AESupplements.html shows the current Alternare Earth supplements available for BRP/RQ/Legend/OQ/Reneaissance. Extending something like that to cover all available supplements should be fairly easy, but it might be difficult to maintain.
  19. Congratulations! Stupor Mundi offers an interesting look at southern Italy in the 13th Century and is full of good ideas.
  20. All intelligent creatures in Legend can have professions and can be generated at a non-basic level.
  21. Why would Chaosium want to produce a slimmed-down, cheaper competitor to BRP? I can understand a Future World, in the same way as Magic World worked, b ut not a Worlds of Wonder equivalent.
  22. Magic World used RQ2-style percentages, which went up in units of 5. So, 05-50 has a critical on 01 and 55-100 has a critical of 02. Percentages in the full 01-100 range didn't come in until RQ3.
  23. I have most things available as PDFs, so I can just refer to them when required. When I put things together, I use PDFTK to split/merge PDFs. If the PDF is locked down so that PDFTK won't work with it, then I extract the text into a file and use that instead. It's not always pretty, so sometimes I tidy it up into Word, print it as a PDF and then use PDFTK to build up a single PDf of the information I want.
  24. Saves you having to commit seppuku, then.
  25. This would suit RQ's upcoming Classic Fantasy supplement. I'd put them together, if you have enough space for them all.
