  1. If you want to, you could argue that it works like radar stealth - you just don't reflect the sound back, so you don't show up.
  2. But don't forget that this goes the other way as well, perhaps even moreso - their gods have only these portfolios, because it's what their people actually do. The Votanki have no use for a god of literacy or formation combat, because of their social and technological circumstances.
  3. I'm thinking smell would still work. Perhaps the "soundless" bit can be extended to work against Troll Darksense (which is sonar, correct?).
  4. Presumably, we will get the HeroQuesting rules in the GM Book.
  5. In CoT, vampires can sacrifice for Vivamort Rune Magic using POW from drained victims. They can also drain a victim's Rune Magic.
  6. While Eurmal's vapours are perhaps more noxious than poisonous.
  7. Also, an Allied Spirit is an initiate of the rune master's cult, so it will have at least one RP.
  8. 1. Yes; yes. 2. Not by the rules as written, but nothing stops you from running it that way.
  9. Not sure I would put money on this. PDF version out early, though?
  10. One good thing about Impales is that it means your ram can get stuck in the other ship.
  11. He has a shared Elmal/Orlanth/Humakt subcult there, but I agree, it’s mostly Elmal.
  12. Does Rigsdal have any of the dancing stuff? At least in the HW version, there is laser-focus on the night watchman part.
  13. I agree with this. Polaris is the general of heaven, Yelmalio is the god of sun worshipers out in the sticks. I'm thinking the relationship between Polarians and Rigsdalings might be pretty amiable - as honor cults, they could agree that the other is doing a good job working loyally for a different master. A bit like Humakti from different cultures.
  14. It might be debatable whether the ram counts as a "weapon" in its own right (and even moreso, whether it's bludgeoning or piercing), but for the rest, it certainly seems so. The extra damage will be negligible, but the to-hit bonus matters a lot. This is also supported by the way Multimissile is written - you can cast it on bigger missiles, just with an additional cost (as it's a multiplier). I would approve of a Mostali "Catapult Trance" spell. Although I suppose proper Mostali are in an almost trance-like state in their tasks anyway.
  15. It still has some Dorastor info though, especially what Ralzakark’s Summon Sky Terror is.
  16. It’s still the less common meaning - the usual one is, as Wikpedia also notes, a sovereign ruler.
  17. There aren't many other fora where you would expect to see this word used!
  18. This, by the way, is why I don’t like ”sultan”. A sultan isn’t a local governor, which makes the title misleading in the Gloranthan context.
  19. On the other hand, this is super-important.
  20. Or you could just tip The Block over.
  21. It's clear what Scotty says (although going back to an old post and editing it makes it very easy to make mistakes). It's not even remotely clear to me where he finds it in the rules. To me, it looks like just a mistake.
