  1. Agreed. Animals get mistreated in the modern meat industry and it affects the taste, but it doesn't affect the amount of meat you get from the animal.
  2. In animal sacrifices the priests usually get the meat, so a skillful butcher is needed. But iirc, the Peaceful Cut makes the spirit born again on the lozenge, so it wouldn't make sense to use the rites when sacrificing if you want the gods to have the animal's spirit. And Praxians don't use the skill in their funerary rites when they kill the deceased's mount, so that he gets to ride it again in the afterlife. My guess is that if you used the Bloody Cut when sacrificing to Orlanth, you'd get smited with Thunderbolt.
  3. It was just posted in this thread that Orlanthis and most of the other people too learn it.
  4. So who are the people who don't practice Peaceful Cut? Do trolls practice it with herded bugs or captured intelligent species?
  5. Weren't the Third Blue Eye a cimmerianish folk up north west?
  6. Thanks! Had mixed Lodril and Gustbran, and forgotten about Minlister and Flintnail. And Pavis is a mason god too. By the way, how do Merfolk craft their metal items?
  7. I know only of the smith god Lodril, and Humakt has bladesmithing and armoring as cult skills, and I have a vague recollection of some East Islander barber god, but are there any others?
  8. I meant the Sorcerous Fly spell, but yes, it basically is just a reduced version of the Rune spell that you can manipulate. Your idea is great!
  9. I used the old RQ3 Fly spell, except that it affects 3 SIZ points per intensity.
  10. In my homebrewed rules you get a bonus from your higher weapon skills to your lower ones. Imo it would be quite silly if a master axeman's hammer skill was just 10% + bonus.
  11. In RQ2 it was a skill, in RQ3 it was a spell used together with Craft(Butcher), and now it is a skill again. It being a skill instead of a spell is a bit silly, since if a foreign master butcher wanted to join a cult that uses Peaceful cut, he has to start from scratch even if he knows all the possible ways to skin and cut an animal with his Craft(Butcher) 100% skill.
  12. Cult Compendium's Mallia is 2nd ed. material. Which non-chaotic Deities provide disease spreading spells?
  13. Mallia has a Chaos rune according to Bestiary p. 93. Carry Disease spell uses Death and Chaos runes and cause disease uses Darkness and Chaos runes. Mallias diseases are chaotic.
  14. Would it be possible to get Rune smilies/emojis?
  15. I ran the Cradle scenario's Battle of Corflu and found the Urvairinus cult stats very useful. Iirc the blogger posts here, so I want to say many thanks to you!
  16. Interesting, seems like -ling works like the Finnish -lainen. Probably a loan word.
