  1. My guess is that it's meant to be played at cons. The players get ready-made characters, and it's not supposed to start a campaign. It's basically set in Pavis, but it's not said aloud.
  2. Do Kitori worship Chalana Arroy or Xiola Umbar? Do they herd insects or sheep etc.? Do they practice any agriculture? Do Ergeshi worship darkness deities in secret, and if so, which ones?
  3. A Finnish RQ book 'Kauhun ja pimeyden kultit' from 1993 had some RQ 2nd and 3rd edition stuff about Chaos and Troll gods. And one of the most interesting RQ scenarios I've ever seen called 'Yƶvalon varjossa' (no idea about the original name, but it translates to "In the Shadows of Darklight") by Michael O'Brien and Trevor Ackerly. Would anyone happen to know where the original could be found in English?
  4. When a shaman wants to contact a Greater Entity to get more Shamanic Abilities, does it matter which entity is contacted? Say if a shaman is for some reason travelling and is away from his tribe.
  5. Didn't the Holy Country have Dukes too? Or did they just use a Western word for them? And was Dorasar a Duke or is his title renamed?
  6. Do souls go to the Spirit World for 7 days after dying? And if so, could shamans find them and how easily? Would having the corpse help in that? Would the souls be ghosts in rules terms?

    Chaos

Yes, and the Chaos Beastmen were copied from RQ back in the day. Even the miniatures.
  8. Visibility ratings: Very poor: less than 1,000 metres Poor: between 1,000 metres and 2 nautical miles Moderate: between 2 and 5 nautical miles Good: more than 5 nautical miles Using that 1/10 rule, a troll could sense a galley's sail at about 3 nm. So if the visibility is moderate a troll would be as good watchman as a human, and since mist doesn't seem to affect darksense, trolls are superior at poor and very poor visibility ratings. And of course at night.
  9. Shiphandling seems to be a skill that only the deck officers use, and Boat seems to be used only in boats that have a crew of 1-2. So what skill is used by the common sailors and rowers?
  10. A human eye can theoretically see an object of 2m diameter from 7 km, so a rule of thumb could be that at long ranges darksense's accuracy is about 1/10 of a human eye.
  11. Additional question: does Farsee work with darksense? I'd say no.
  12. What is the range of darksense? Can trolls sense far away ships with darksense? Does darksense work better through water or air, and does it work better in darkness? How much does mist affect it?
  13. From Cambridge Dictionary:
  14. My group uses Discord. A voice channel for discussion, and a main gaming text channel for dice bot, handouts, and other active roleplaying stuff. One player has digitized his character sheets, and for others I as the DM keep records. After scenarios I send scans of the character sheets to players. And we have other text channels for keeping records of dead characters' sagas, rules discussion, Glorantha discussion, general chat, low brow humor, and for discussing when we are going to play the next time. e: We used Skype for video once when the characters were playing the Faro Wheel in Casino Town, so that the players could see my toy roulette set. The Faro Wheel worked as a normal roulette, except that fumbled Luck checks invalidated wins.
  15. Could we perhaps see some drawings, please?
  16. Finally someone can spell it properly!
  17. Sounds like a working solution.
  18. Viking wergild was three times the victim's yearly income, and for non-combatants it was the killer's yearly income. And the slave prices in RQG are 100L for adult men and 35L for children, so the ransom could be about 1/3 of a man's ransom.
  19. Someone posted here on the forums that this is the source for Prax's name: So it should be the prairie of Prax.
