  1. this is a little out of our remit but this sweater. is definitely Ralzakark call your storm gerns and warn them
  2. YEP you did not consent to that, that's not appropriate.
  3. how do Tuskers eat then if it spoils the meat? they use it for EVERYTHING. chicken? bloody cut.
  4. Both Kitori and Tuskers are changed by exposure to Darkness spirits. I believe the physical change in Tuskers came after they had already turned into Bloody Tusk - we know Delecti did it, so the timeline tells us this happened after the Captain Sunshine Wars because Aram was a Theyalan representative on the Council. I agree it was almost certainly jamming humans and tuskers together, although how remains unclear to me. A heroquest for new converts seems likely, but would they kill a tusker? I think it would be a success in the heroquest, and the tusker they borrowed spirit from would be their first bound mount, which honestly seems to be a really clear thing. The process would be dangerous and failure would be... bad. As in they'd be sacrificed, most likely. Despite being called "half-trolls", I don't know of any writings that show any actual trolls or trollkin inbreeding, and Tuskers are crusading religious fanatics, not rapists. We've not a single narrative of them breeding outside the tribe. Maybe they can breed with enlo, the most human of trolls IMHO (they bear a single child after almost a year in the womb, and extremely rarely twins), but this is speculation/YGWV. The Kitori were affected by specifically uz-affiliated Darkness spirits and by the Only Old One, a demigod, directly. Their form, whatever it is - temporary spirit nimbus, ability to shift between human and uz, small fangs, whatever - is not Delecti mad science but Uz: The Uzening. Maybe they underwent a variety of Uz rebirth like Arkat did, but to become a new thing. Whatever happened, it's clear they both were Darknessified hooman, but in verrrry different ways.
  5. ... if we believe Plentonius, which we often don't because he was wrong, confused, or lied to please Khordavu. His Dendara is probably not a weaving goddess; that's not a distaff but an addi, a phallic symbol of authority and perhaps a thunderbolt. We don't exactly know who Dendara is but she's a rain goddess to the Dara Happans, not a weaving one. Plentonius is pretty clearly wrong here.
  6. yes, but does that mean others can't eat food they hunt because they don't know the Peaceful Cut? In Prax almost everyone outside Pavis knows the Peaceful Cut except the Poljoni, the Cannibals, and the Oasis-Dwellers, the last of which mostly just eat traded meats and the vegetables and fruits that fall into their hands, and even they have Wahans and Eirithrans; Kerofinelans and Poljoni are mostly Orlanth or Ernalda-worshippers. These folks don't all learn the Peaceful Cut; only Wahans do. (And Eirithrans, as of last edition, also had a distinct Peaceful Cut so they could, like, butcher their own meat of their own goddess, but I have no idea if that's still true because the God book isn't out yet.)
  7. female trolls are because they give birth to LITTERS, which they then breastfeed, so females are fed top priority. male trolls seem to be more ripped than fat. enlo seem stupid, emaciated a lot, and that's likely because they are kept near starving as hunting pets or are barely surviving as feral children outrunning hunting packs. we don't really see what would happen if you took newborn enlo, raised them in an environment like a clan with sufficient foodstuffs and roles and initiations, and otherwise treated them like people. for all we know they're little different from darkness-rune humans! it's not like we'd have any way to tell, and certainly we know there are value-enlo even without any advantage or training whatsoever.
  8. You have such lovely art, I'd love to request a Sylilan Odayling or something equally non-"Heartland". Still Theyalan, still classified "hostile barbarian", but focused on gods essentially unknown in Kerofinela. The Two Cafols are supposed to be very strange places. I bet you could draw some really interesting armour.
  9. clarification my posts were not a criticism it's amazing i love it
  10. yeah i felt the french running through me
  11. ... everyone who doesn't learn it from their god. Wahans and Eirithans learned Peaceful Cut skills in earlier editions, but it was (acceptably) different between them. But an Orlanthi doesn't learn the peaceful cut. Maybe some hunting gods teach a Peaceful Cut skill, but it wouldn't be Waha's. It's a specific magical way to ensure the game spirit ends up reborn. The Bloody Cut is a parody: it binds a soul forever to the Ivory Plinth and its weird god. That's why people hate Tuskers! If you get killed by their rite you don't go to the spirit world, you get locked into a demon's cage in the Stinking Forest forever.
  12. excellent! while I enjoyed the story of how the Darjiinians survived the flood (I enjoy all the stories of how non-Dara Happans survived the so-called "World-Ending Flood", particularly the Mernitans, who ... lived on high ground and now could fish easily), it always seemed ... not ideal to have them made of reeds. Terrible, in fact.
  13. I haven't seen any details except I know his settlement at the Dawn was small: this is what my notes say (they are not cited, because they are personal notes). 13th Age Glorantha also has fun ideas about them.
  14. how will you implement runalité?
  15. well i mean... what else would you end up calling the special reeds that a Hero transplanted from the Occluded Sea on the Red Moon and now grow only in Heron Temples, to be fair to the Darjiinians? It's not like there were moon people that had names you could use, Sedenya made the Red Moon fresh from the oven after she was reborn.
  16. Ah yes, it's book 1, the section about the Highest Priestess of SurEnslib, the Heron Goddess, whose name is Beveletia: it's the reed-boats of the Waders of Darjiin built with (red, I think) moon-reeds that grew after the Red Moon rose. Volume 2:
  17. yay, moon boat didn't one of the Imperial Lunar Handbooks discuss the making of these? They were made of moon reeds that grew in only one place on Genertela.
  18. i feel like maybe we don't call them "primitive and barbaric peoples" since about the Victorian Era, and especially since it doesn't really clarify what you mean do you mean hunter-gatherers? do you mean early neolithic? do you mean paleolithic? do you mean bronze-age settlements? it's extremely unclear Jericho has been an inhabited city since the Natufian culture, which predates the adoption of agriculture.
  19. I'm nerdy but typically the opposite of prescriptive? Eight is also the eight primary runes: harmony, death, fertility, disruption, truth, illusion, etc., which are sometimes called "the eight tent-pegs" or "the eight pillars" and align with the eight planets. There's a lot of eight going around.
  20. i meant Truth and Law hahahahahahahaha
  21. English is a big language; don't sweat it. And again, like I said, I was just amused because I had just woken up and was like, "wait, how many?" It was not meant as a mean criticism; that reply was meant for Sir. Sir Godspeed because we're not in a BDSM relationship and wasn't meant to be mean.
  22. I was just really taken aback when you said, "maybe they have four fingers", I literally was like "do I have brain fog today" and started counting. It might also vary; English is a big-ass language. it ain't got no business being a finger. sure it's a digit, but a finger? a finger ain't so useful as a thumb. also the thumb is like the claw bit of the hand that does all the work. deserves its own name. four fingers and a THUMB.
  23. I know an Eurmali when I see one. Because they have their ass as their image. 😉
  24. A smart Hero would link the White Moon Rebellions and the healing of the Tuskers. Get the trolls involved (they like the moon, not the Lunars, and think the Tuskers are some sort of unstable TNT version of made-enlo) and repurpose the non-PolJoni and non-Lunar Praxians against your common foe. Steal Argrath's Eaglebrowns before he gets them on his side.
