  1. In the near future I will be adding the Holiday Glorantha character creation details, and also the Duckpak amendments to durulz creation. Also there is East Isles, which I have. Are there any other character creation details from JC publications that I could add? If I don't own them then I'd either need a paste from the PDF or someone to transcribe the numbers into my sheet layout. If they divert from the standard system (fixed culture, occupation, cult numbers) then I might not be able to cover everything. I will make the JC stuff optional with a button to click to enable them all.
  2. 😁 I will add it (next week). You can add your own entries to the Weapons tab though. I seem to remember some contradiction, I'll look into it again. Can't do anything until next week though. I can't see any correction so maybe ask in the Q&A topic?
  3. My favourite piece of Trollball trivia is that before Trollkin existed, they used a live badger as ball. They was real Uz in those days.
  4. Many of us don't believe that POW or the "soul" is real in our world! I really don't know what you are referring to here. What "mundane advantages" do Gloranthans trade their POW for? I'd say that this is entirely the wrong way around. We tend not to care for our souls. Gloranthans very much do.
  5. In my Glorantha the runes carved over the doors are Truth and Law.
  6. Yes, and we've been chided by Jason and (I think) Jeff for quoting old rules as though they still applied.
  7. I see the mechanistic POW rules as purely an artefact of the RuneQuest game system, and whilst some are happy to extrapolate Gloranthans reality from the RuneQuest rules, I am not. If a thing that can be extrapolated as a consequence from RQ can't be done in QuestWorlds, and can't be done in 13AIG, then maybe, maybe, it can't be (or isn't usually) done in Glorantha. Maybe it can. If it's awesome and improves your game, then great, have abusive or coercive POW farms! But I would always start with Glorantha. Is it happening in the world? If so, what mechanics do we use? Other opinions are available.
  8. The Praxians drove a herd of broo into the Lunar army at Moonbroth.
  9. In the Chaosium house campaign Storm Bull and Aranea are ok, and Orlanth and The Sun Dragon are ok, so why not?
  10. Possession by a Spirit of Law could give it 1% in Illumination which would be rolled at Sacred Time.
  11. The last thing we want is to attract fan hate for slowing him down writing his book! 🤣
  12. We don't know that. They aren't explicitly laid out in the RuneQuest rules, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist in Glorantha.
  13. So you want to play the bad guy? Sure, but expect the GM to send adventuring parties to end your reign if terror.
  14. Not I'm not so sure you're talking about Spirit Binding, as it's an instant spell. What are you referring to here?
  15. I assume you are referring to Spirit Binding. The lack of specific wording to say that the POW needs to be overcome does not mean that it does not. The default for any hostile spell is that you need to overcome POW vs POW. I wouldn't let someone bind a hostile or neutral spirit without some kind of control spell. And you'd have to pry the spirit loose from possessing the body to bind it, you can't just bind your way out of a powerful disease.
  16. Similar wording is also in the Red Book of Magic.
  17. No, Find Enemy for a year requires six Rune Points to be permanently dedicated to keeping that spell up. Soul Sight needs another six RP. Actually if you time it right it should only require 5 RP as you can just cast it with Extension 4 every season at the seasonal holy day.
  18. Why limit it to two of the six elements? Maybe Wind Children are air nymphs. I don't want to meet a moon nymph.
  19. Indeed, they make great familiars for RQ3 Uz sorcerers.
  20. I doubt it, that would rightly raise furious ire from republicans, and moderate monarchists such as myself. If it's the right thing to do, then sure the government might well do it. But if it were in any way controversial, I feel that leaking the royal opinion would be counterproductive and that's one of the reasons they don't do it. Cameron's careless leaking of the Queen's opinion on Scottish independence was a PR disaster.
  21. Supporters of the monarchy do not blame the monarch, as she/he has no political power to overrule our democracy. Some opponents do blame the monarch, I would leave it to them to say why, since I support the monarchy I would be in danger of being influenced by bias in characterising the motives of "the other side".
