  1. The base spell creates one bolt. You may choose to create a deeper magic version where multiple bolts are created.
  2. It's coming, but not for a while yet.
  3. Try this one for now 1920s - New - page 3.pdf
  4. Hi - I've asked for the "third sheet" to be made available on the Chaosium website - this should happen in a few days. The third sheet is a blank page and is a writeable PDF, or you can just print it out and hand write on to it. It's for extended character backgrounds and info.
  5. Hi, Secrets of Tibet is written for 7th edition. It is wrongly placed in the classic / 6e section of the web store - we will move it from here. Thanks
  6. Your question is better directed at the people at Fantasy Grounds, who determine what content they provide and so on.
  7. Hi, Sixtystone Press has a Colonial Lovecraftian setting for Call of Cthulhu, but it remains unreleased at present and am unable to comment more on this. We actually have a sci-fi/future setting for Call of Cthulhu in development at present. I can't say more, other a campaign for this setting is also in the works. Will be a while before it comes out.
  8. Hi The most recent printing of the Keeper Rulebook is the 7th printing (Sept 2019). I've just done a check that all outstanding errata was included into this printing - but found there are a handful of corrections that appear to have been missed (I have listed these below for your reference). I'll be getting these input and sorted for the next printing (8th printing) whenever that happens.. Page 8 – Contents – Chapter Six: Combat – Escaping Close Combat 108 (Combat has an errant “z” at end) Page 37: Size: “60: Average human size…” – change “60” to “65” Page 146 – column 2, last sentence, last word – “Any pursuers who are slower than the slowest fleeing character are left behind, and do not participate in the case.” - Change “case” to “chase" Page 155 – Temporary Insanity – replace first line with: If an investigator loses 5 or more Sanity points from a single source of Sanity loss (e.g. a Sanity roll or reading a tome) sufficient emotional trauma has been suffered that the Keeper must test the investigator’s sanity. Page 398 – column 3 – “.25 Rim Fire” – “Rim Fire” should be “Rimfire” Page 404 - Model 1882 Gatling Gun - end of row - insert comma after "1920s"
  9. When a book is reprinted, the files are updated to include any existing errata.
  10. ColoradoCthulhu - sorry to hear that - please email per the address above - we are looking into the situation. Thanks
  11. Do you perhaps know someone with a printer you could ask to print some sheets off for you? Is there a library with a Xerox machine? We are looking at various things, but the call for preprinted packs of character sheets is very low, as most people have access to a printer at home or work (or can access an online printing service that sends direct to home).
  12. Hi klecser - it looks like you have a bad print copy - my copy seems better (images below). Please contact customerservice@chaosium.com and we'll replace the book for you.
  13. Yes its a mistake on the Screen - please see the Errata thread for all corrections (inc. this one).
  14. We are considering the anniversary and what wonders might happen.
  15. Thanks for the corrections. In terms of longswords - we kept that in as although they are not 100% historically accurate, this setting is not 100% accurate (it has monsters in it etc 🙂) - thus, players and Keepers may wish to include such weaponry (exotic as it may be) and it also helps when creating monsters (if one wants one to carry a longsword-like weapon or has sword-like arms). As for descriptions, there's not a great need to spend page count on this (I'd rather devote it to more useful material) - and a simple web search can clear up any definitions if required. Thanks again
  16. Yes, we do use professional proofreaders. Despite this, errors can still creep through.
  17. Yes that's correct - these prints were available on the Call of Cthulhu 7th ed. kickstarter.
  18. Sanity loss for encountering monsters is not only based on sight but includes their very presence, smell, aura, and so on - and how your character 'feels' around them. I.e. looking away won't save you. It's being in the presence of something not human / alien - instinctively (at first, until you become used to it) there's a recoiling or sense of something not right (in your world sense) - something from beyond your understanding or world is stood in front of you. You make a SAN roll - you succeed, zero loss, so it feels a little strange but you are unaffected. You fail the roll, you comprehend the reality and it affects you.
  19. Thanks ColoradoCthulhu - we are working to correct the one typo you spotted.
  20. Listen should have a base value of 20% - the Modern-day sheet 25% is an error, but my advice has always been to ignore the error on the sheet.
  21. Just to say - in 2020, we are working on: Cthulhu by Gaslight Arkham and a Guide to the Miskatonic Valley and Dreamlands thereafter. Good news may also be had concerning things like Mansions of Madness, Malleus Monstrorum, Children of Fear, and something else.......
  22. Monster art (in fact, any art) is subjective. When drawing anything, the artist must rely on their interpretation of the briefs (which, in this case are drawn from numerous sources including original text wherein they appeared) - just as a writer tries to convey their sense of the monster using words and terms understandable by humans - hence, Lovecraft using phrases like "an octopus-like head" = we use "xxx-like" because it gives us a common frame of recognition, it does not actually mean Cthulhu is an octopus. Monster art provides another form for Keepers to picture the monster in their heads and is a big help when describing said monsters to others around a gaming table. The overwhelming response to our new monster art across social media has been very positive.
  23. Errata: Masks of Nyarlathotep Update: 20 October 2021 Errata - Masks of Nyarlathotep - 20 October 2021.pdf
  24. The Curse of Seven, a new forthcoming Gaslight campaign - each chapter is inspired by different "horror" authors like M. R. James, Dickens, R. Chetwynd-Hayes, E. F. Benson, Conan Doyle, Arthur Machen, Robert Louis Stevenson, and so on.
  25. Yes, and a bunch of new scenario seeds concerning road travel.
