Yep, AFAICT it's the same layout and art as the English version, except for an original scenario in the back of the book, which features a few new original pieces. They're done in a similar style as the rest of the slipcase set, so for instance the scenario's NPCs are B&W paintings that are like those in the GM Adventures book.

By the way, over on the (unofficial) Chaosium Discord server, some people were asking about the occupation changes in the French RQG. I figure it's probably OK to share them here, especially since many people think that the Hunter and Fisher occupation are wrong in the English version (lacking important skills and being too weak overall).

Here are those occupations in the French RQG... they get a lot more points. I'll let people brush up their French and translate on their own ;)  (although they can cheat and use Google Translate!)

Hunter

Arme à distance culturelle (type au choix) +30 %, Camouflage +25 %, Connaissance (locale) +10 %, Connaissance des animaux +30 %, Déplacement silencieux +25 %, Dissimulation +10 %, Écoute +15 %, Invention 10%, Observation +15 %, Pistage +30 %.

Fisher

Javelot ou Arc court ou Filet (au choix) +20 %, Artisanat (au choix) +15 %, Bouclier (type au choix) +10 %, Canotage +30 %, Connaissance des animaux +20 %, Connaissance des rivières +30 %, Lance courte +10 %, Marchandage +15 %, Nage +40 %, Observation +10 %, Premiers soins 10 %.

 

I think that @PhilHibbs's Google Docs character sheets has those stats when you switch it to "French", too.

I've just found another difference: P82 (both version), on family heirloom, French release adds an optional rule that allows poor occupations (= not Assistant Shaman, Merchant, Noble, Priest and Warrior) can have a second roll on the Family heirloom table, the Roll twice result being ignored.

Though the translation is pretty obvious even with my schoolboy French, to save even that minimal effort, here it is in English.

I'm about to set up a campaign in Balazar, so there's chances someone will have a hunter parent.

The skills in bold are those used for income calculation (unchanged from core rules).

If anyone is concerned if they are "Official", I notice that these changes haven't made the Q&A corrections (at least that I can see).

Hunter

Cultural Missile Weapon (pick type) +30%, Hide +25%, Lore (local) +10%, Animal Lore +30%, Move Quietly +25%, Conceal +10%, Listen +15%, Devise 10%, Scan +15%, Track +30%.

Fisher

Javelin, Self Bow, or Thrown Net (pick one) +20%, Craft (pick one) +15%, Shield (pick one type) +10%, Boat +30%, Animal Lore +20%, River Lore +30 %, Short Spear +10%, Bargain +15%, Swim +40%, Scan +10%, First Aid 10%.

Healer

Alchemy +10%, Plant Lore +30%, Orate +10%, Insight (Human) +20%, Devise +10%, Scan +10%, First Aid +40%, Research +10%, Treat Disease + 30%, Treat Poison +30%.
