  1. I also think not much is said of Storm Bull's act as it was technically kinstrife.
  2. I would say some yes. If it's your dominant rune, yes.
  3. In RQ Glorantha having The Moon as your Primary Rune gives you +2 to CHA or POW (secondary +1) so yes.
  4. The moon rune has been in Glorantha in many places since before the Dawn. E.g. All the major tribes of Prax and many minor have the moon rune in their people.
  5. @davecake said In HQ Glorantha is also Mastery and Death and in RQ Glorantha, Man and Death. Some background. Waha is the counterpart to Eiritha's Life rune. This is their main emphasis. Secondary to that are their other runes. Eiritha has Beast as well and in RQG it due to the way the runes are balanced it makes sense to have Waha with the man rune. In reality Waha secondary role in the Wastes is Mastery. As shown in HQG page 169, Mastery over different areas. There is no magic in RQG tied to the Mastery Rune, but in supplements future there may be.
  6. I forgot to include one of the best Chaosium RQ2 supplement moments: I only noticed it on the cover after 30 years when it was pointed out to me.
  7. Runequest slayers from Avalon Hill. Of more interest to me is why the q became capitalised in RQ3. I wonder how the new logo would look with a lowercased q?
  8. That is contradictory to Dara Happen time which has a clear linear component to it. The time birthed by Arachne Solara is clearly a different time to most, but Dara Happen time still continues the same. Another way of putting it is that Storm pantheon has a timeless mythology, while the solar has a timed one. Of course these are contradictory, but they both exist and so are both right. This is clearly another place of conflict between the two pantheons. Perhaps the Compromise caused the Storm Pantheon to obey Solar time. Likewise the godlearner maps show us a linear devolution of the world, impossible without time. Timelessness is certainly a facet of both mythologies. A day could be a blink of an eye or be several years like the stories of faerie, (many examples), or be repeated like the film Groundhog day.
  9. a number of people said the same thing, I couldn't recall the Mongoose one in detail, so I made a pictorial list of all the English speaking versions I could remember: https://basicroleplaying.org/topic/6651-runequest-logos/
  10. I don't know how I missed that Simon. For me it was my second edition, but undoubtably the most used. The ready ref sheets glued into the centre were a fail though. Added.
  11. I'm holding out for either a Kish tablet style set of the new rules - hopefully only 3-4000 tablets (boxed), with a slate etched GM screen and stone polyhedral dice. Or preferably a Phaistos Disc style set with bronze cast dice and a stretched goat skin GM screen. Both versions should come with clay to produce fire yourself character sheets and bronze styli for the players and GM.
  12. "It reminds me of x's logo because it contains the same letters"... I couldn't remember, so
  13. The Dara Happans have linear time even in the God time. The gods lived in their domain often separate from people. There was still some form of separation between them and the gods. Yelm was in the sky for example and that was still separate from those on the earth. To reach him you would still have to traverse the worlds. I don't think it's hero questing as we know it, but I think its still a movement through worlds. Much easier than now. Maybe called something like going to the gods home. Like the worlds of Norse mythology before ragnarok.
  14. Please add this to the error thread. There no reason I can see that these shouldn't be searchable.
  15. Mike Perry did the The Four Otherworlds piece based on Jeff's initial sketch: @Charles I have a feeling that were you involved in this?
  16. Mike Perry did the epic picture of Kalikos, here are the original roughs, clearly we went for number 5: For those who missed this from week 1: This piece of art was commissioned by the Kaikos society, the Finnish Glorantha society. http://www.kalikos.org. It is of course Kalikos... There is great article on how Mike Perry made this on his blog: http://mperryart.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/the-making-of-kalikos-hero-quest-for.html
