  2. I was thinking about using Legend as an easy to carry ( the books) system, so this is great news. Would it be hard to make rules/ spells for creating undead? Or does it exist any rules for that?
  3. Hi, I am curious of the supplements for legend, specially the arcane and blood magic, does they contain spells for summoning demons, elementals? And what does equipment book contain? Rules for henchmen?

  5. Use the reistance table Damage vs. Shield strength You Can do it like the classical parry each time Damage goes through, the strength of the Shield decreases.

  10. Just keep the one closest to his skill win. Guard 53% notice rolls 63, Thief 48% sneak rolls 60%. Winner is guard due to only failed by 10%.... Or use the burning wheel thing about failing foward. Player character succeeds but... Guard Will notice something is amiss, little later....
  11. Trudvang Chronicles are less relient on stats (only very high, low stats affect you). Human cèntric, other species exists but you are probably human, skillsystem have specialiations, (that gives bonus on skills used in a special way, like mounted combat) skills are therefore broader. Weapons do d10 openended damage, keep in mind that I am rusty on the ruleset and don't have the latest versión.
  12. Could make other supers weaker against the powers they can project. Ordenary humans resistent.
  13. The reason I started toying with the superpowers was the fact that Gandalf and company, are so much superior to "normal" humans. So make them superheroes and the rest talented humans. Sorcery to represent "low" magic. I do think you could use humans as base, add super stats and skills to make them other species.. And I'm not making a serious middle earth game.. Only playing with brp possibilities
  14. Still playing around with the golden book. I think Gandalf the Grey would have heat control, heat projection, several levels of resistances,heat, cold etc and finally super skills ( due to his longvivity.) Sauroman would have weather control, elèctric projection.
  15. Hi, I had this idea/ concept of running a Brp goldenbook middle earth-ish campaign with 2 power systems, superpowers for Sauron, gandalf, Elrond & C;o and Sorcery for low simple magic. But how would you stat the superpowered heroes and villans as: the Barlog, Galadriel, mighty Radagast etc, etc?
  16. Yes, that is the "New" system or rebooted Drakar och Demoner. well New and New is it 10+ years, old... The world, is fantastic the art is top notch, its a Brp derivated versión. But its not the game I talk about in the start of the thread, thats original magic world tweaked its was the roleplaying game you played in Sweden in the 80 s.

    In Elric it was 1d4+2d3 for skills over 100% so I think it is a typo...
  20. Update!! you Can pre-order the game from Sfbok, in September,( doubt it Will be ready then, they are doing playtesting of the system now.) But on the blurb at Sience fiction bokhandeln does it state: that it Will have a Resistance table!! It Will be using 1d100, easy pick up and play system using somethings from the expert version of the game.( probably crafting skills) race+ proffesion for starting skills. Yepp, fall is going to be good.. (i hope)

  22. I would say, its Brp. But wery scaled back... it has something that makes it very Brp.
  23. And I like Järn, its kind of fresh take on the Brp engine. Could probably run a good Glorantha campaign with the system, clans, gods and spirits..
