I don´t agree. A Chalana Arroy for instance might have traded Resurrection in RQ2 to another person, because that person needed it for a specific situation. Would she has done that if she knew that he could used it over and over again (which seems to be in RQG, in your interpretation of the rules)? In my Glorantha One-Use is Ine-Use = Runepoints AND knowlege of that spell are gone after you have cast it.

The difference in between the safelstran city states are bigger than the differences in between historical italian city states imho.

Safelstran can be a homeland/culture imho. Kustrian, Dangan, Estali, Sentanosian, etc = Spanish, Italian, French, German, etc. Safelstran = European

"Dragon´s Past" was Gregs campaign log, with a little bit of background pieces and write ups of his latest adventures (wich he called Expeditions) for his players. Dragons Past # 1 to # 10 was "published" 1978 to 1980. After that 5 more Dragons Past appeared in Wyrms Footnotes (as far as i know some of this was just a reprint of stuff from the previous incarnation of the same title, and other parts were new/continued stuff) # 9, and 11-14 from June 1980 to April 1982. And then we have the article "Dragons Past I: Gloranthan Military Experience" in Different Worlds # 28. Some of this was reprinted in Tales of the Reaching Moon # 5 and again in Wyrms Footprint.

IMHO Sandys THE GODS WAR has to attract all kind of boadgamers, and doesn´t has to be gloranthan correct to do so. If it attracts new players, which will make it from THE GODS WAR to RUNEQUEST (or HEROQUEST), then this non-canon optics were worth it.

Oh i almost forgot Gregs Hero Wars puma people invention. By the way: Is there still space somewhere in RQG for them?

But the likeliness of the names of these NPCs and the fact that they are the same age, etc. but are nevertheless two different persons, can also be made into a good red herring / sidequest for a campaign.
