  1. Nice Yep, be the change you wish to see.
  2. I resent the implications of that remark my good sir... well, I will need help with the rules I am afraid... and also in finding the forums you are referring to... so in the words of one of the good doctors... allons-y!
  3. A quick check, what does a post consist of? 500 words or a few paragraphs? jajagappa, if you can accept as little as one post a week (I should be able to make the three or so posts you suggest most of the time), I would absolutely love to try a game with you. I have no knowledge of HQ but do understand Glorantha reasonably well. Now note, to point one I hate fun and many say I am quite serious (do not expect any ad libs or jokes). Let me know if this is of interest to you and your players. Cheers
  4. A quick question, did you actually click on the link and read the posts in question? At no point do I or should I say the OP, use a commercial printer. Just a check... The method recommended would not be a very good way to make two printed copies never mind 20... Thus, I am unsure if it it bends never mind breaks the copyright rules. cheers
  5. AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER ATTITUDE, HUH, HUH, HUH? WHAT?
  6. The first mate, the hardest working and most underpaid of them all, the true woking class hero.... Dustin, of course. :)
  7. Deers could well be Helering, no? If any animal seems to be a wee bit fluid I would think deers would be it... not to mention cats...
  8. Oh pfft, to you, I have no probs with... er what was that word you used?
  9. The annoying reality Videopete, is the the game is only partially released. Still, what we is great and we have and have only had to wait—oh, about half of our lives to get it. Patience and the rest will come and it will be golden , but at the moment you have only half the game.Without the GM guide and the Gods and Goddesses (GaGoG? CoG?) book, well you do not have the whole pic. soltakss, myself as well as most others of our ilk had no idea how to run the game properly without CoP. And that came out a couple of years after the core rules had gone trough two editions. So we are still well ahead of schedule. And they are promising the HQ rules soon... Cheers
  10. Start small, once you have About 50% of a given population will be identifiably female Great, the page is not white anymore. The above statement is not quite true as well. We know there are more than two genders, (let’s start small and being willing to see that there are other beliefs but lets stick to one area for now). So two facts and the acknowledgement of a controversy. a bit of a start. Runes, deities, geographic features, and spirits will show signs of the separation. History has a Male/Female bias. Why are they separate, what stories and myths create these separations and why for that matter are their similarities. If you can come up with a few sentences here and then move onto the tools you have (the building a tribe rules) you should have a good start.
  11. I so like these sentences the thinking, the very idea of being and doing advocacy, all while in a gaming context that I had to pull this quote out and admire it again. You are not mistaken, I have seen this again, and again. Some of the best of our hobby have come about this way, on the lozenge. This gem of thinking joins the other insights I have had as to why I have always loved Chaosium. One day I will sit and list them all but this, this, creatively generous bit of genius that has always infused and differentiated the Chaosuim from many of the (lesser) others. The idea of being the change (shaman, really) at the heart of this philosophy... Well, I will stop raving now and go away. Cheers
  12. I got your back on that shit, no worries.I have seen few things that perturbed me around here but nothing that f’ed up.
  13. Having spent a third of my working like in kitchens; as a dishpig line cook charcutier, saucier and sous chef, I would say a man can do a women’s work quite well... Thankfully such distinctions are wending their way out the extinction doorway in my lifetime, Yay!
  14. Truly a pleasure, thank you for the response.
  15. Until then, perhaps kirinyaga has a solution... kirinyaga shows a way of creating your own POD books, just click on the link above and scroll down to the pretty pics and Bob’s yer aunt (it is the 21st century after all).
  16. Saw this on RPG.NET and thought I would post it here. Now this is closer to my point of view although my punishment would have been a little bloodier.
  17. and with Pavis and the Big Rubble right there, it can be played a palate cleanser twixt missions for the Duke, Perhaps a visit to find a specialist trainer or bit of exotica not found on the less civilized banks of the River to the south. The First scenario in the Pavis set is perfect for visitors. Ah hell get the holy trio... ya won’t be sorry.
  18. No problem. We all remember things from years ago that we are sure are right, until someone goes and checks the facts. and the nicer we react, the nicer the Forums will be! Well done soltakss and Kloster for this fine example.
  19. So do I, so do I, @Jane has been writing about women and Glorantha for a while and might have some tips but at the least visit her sight for a look at one particular woman hero...http://www.jane-williams.me.uk/glorantha/index.cfm although we are not all jajagappa, he has a lot of wisdom and delivers the goods Perhaps it is time to brainstorm up a bunch o stuff and begin writing what you know, the priestesses the mores the female points of view the women heroes. Doing this you might be a large part f the coming RQ revolutions as it drags other knuckle-dragging RPGs kicking and screaming into the 21st century. as Efff says... Thanks Scott, that’s what I was looking for... no Bill do not go for the obvious pun, no, bad barbarian...
  20. ...and sorry for any toes I step on, but the last 2 years of RQ G cements that thought into a bit more permanency. just an opinion from yet another of many great canadian thinkers: Joni
  21. I shall just... duck... this one!
