  1. Bill the barbarian enters game, picks up dice to roll SAN Tosses them carelessly over his fur pelted shoulder whilst drawling, “...meh, overrated!"
  2. The idea of being able to deal out as much damage as a properly statted Humakt can at the percentage he is capable of freaks some out. Others take the trance thing and when combined with extension on Truesword figure some mental damage has to be accruing by being in trance season after season. More at Egregious Munchkinnerry!
  3. So it remains a rune spell as in RQ 2 not an effect. I think you are angling for an inclusion in Hibb's "Egregrigious Munchkinerry!" with this one. Can’t see it, sorry.
  4. IT IS GETTING AWFULY SERIOUS AROUND HERE, AND I FOR ONE, WILL NOT STAND FOR IT! <takes a seat>
  5. See my latest “RuneQuest Core Rules Questions "
  6. Oh, get a grip, what do you think keeps our ears (or horns, check out that pretty avatar to the left) apart, hmm? Still pretty foggy (two weeks of a cold, zounds), I am afraid that I am missing it,
  7. Sorry for missing this... Agree with the above...
  8. Recommendation, avoid this horror, this Malia’s curse which stalks the north lands... well, like a plague! Just a head cold, its just a head cold... <achoo! damn there goes a little more brain!>
  9. ThOU doest not like Gloranthan puns, burn him! with Yelm’s holy fire, of course!
  10. Oh my time to resurrect “Puns we know and love” is it?
  11. The good doctor has obviously visited Glorantha (closed world, indeed, just try to stop a time lord with Handwavium in his or her deep pockets).
  12. Seems like chauvinism (or a smoking gun at least) to me. lordabdul and myself could easily be accused of male privilege here and not recognizing a truth that you point out. So from me, cheers.
  13. Nice picture... but I believe that there are 366 days in 2020 so I am not sure it is as much a DATE as a OFFICIAL YEAR. As the good doctors might say, your year might vary...
  14. This seems like a lot but think about what an average rune level brings to the table, an allied spirit, possibly 18 POW, a couple of bound spirits and a POW crystal... Well you are in the ball park for 60ish MPs right there.... Perhaps lordabdul is correct about your GM after all but not because of the number of MPs he has allowed you. Cheers
  15. I personally am a humongous fan of the ethnic dance of the Python Tribe of Cambridge. Violence at its finest!
  16. Thanks for everyone's patience (torpor?), I think I can muster enough brains to ask a question... sniffle Time to bring that one nagging question forward from the Original Wall o’ Text™ Plot hooks versus actual spoilers— I would assume most here would differentiate between the two and let revealed plot hooks slide well before letting a major plot's secret slide. So then, what is the goalpost, how do you decide what passes and what does not? I’ll start so there is no need to stand on ceremony. Me, I hate the unnecessary use of either without the small curtesy of a spoiler warning of some kind, damn intolerant barbarian that I am. Mind you I am having a hard time envisioning a time when it wold be necessary to not use a spoiler warning of some kind before revealing a plot hook or story's secret If I had to choose I would have to say plot hooks well before plot secrets but as I would rather not reveal either without warnings to begin with, I would have a hard time setting a gauge to that, sorry. Cheers
  17. That’s the most annoying part of arguing with a grognard the response usually covers so much damn territory that inevitably part of it has to be right!
  18. Too each there own, the tales of the orlanthi of that part of the world told during such an epic period made me want to play Dorastor (an itch I have yet to scratch). Evocative, hells yeah!
  19. I quite liked that one myself. Surprised ya didna like it,
  20. I can not recall if it is rules as written to just the way I have always played it that the Chalana Arroy subcult Arroin (her magic-less child) is the originator of the skill, first aid. Another example would be the subcult of Yelmalio that taught Kuschile Horse Archery band in RQ 2 (I believe this skill is just assumed to ne had by all in RG G). @Ali the Helering beat me for Kuchile but...
  21. No more speculation than mine I am sure...
  22. To quote from a post elsewhere here in Alastor’s Skull Inn... Thanks all for weighting in and I apologize for my absence. Head colds may be thought of as Malia’s way of saying sit down and stop thinking for a while.. I want to comment but it hurts too much so I will just say please keep posting and I will be back when thinking does not hurt. Cheers
