  1. My mistake. I hadn't checked before. Kloster
  2. Inscribe spells for sorcery, Enhance INT spell. For spirit magic, apart allied spirits and matrix, CHA seems to be the limit. Kloster
  3. I fondly remember the 'Choose or Roll' of RQIII's previous experience. This is much the same for RQG ... except of course for the lifepath, which get us to your point: some personal histories are quite convoluted. Kloster
  4. First, I said 'I would give', because I'm not gamemastering, and not thus taking decisions. You're right, there is no cost at creation for a double initiation. The cost is within the game, with double tithing, and double the time due to cults, double sacrifices,... Enforcing this is part of GM's task, as it is more linked to the setting than to the system. I would not give anything extra for single initiation character, as it is, for me, a choice made by the player (with GM approval, of course) to have a single or a multiple initiation. If given the choice, I would probably choose a single initiation, but this would be my choice, and I wouldn't feel cheated vs people who made a different choice. For the dual occupation, this is an other point I hadn't talked about. We liked, in RQIII, having characters that spent their previous experience with several careers, creating mixed personal histories, but I don't think it is possible with RQG. Kloster
  5. That is how we played it with RQIII, so I think I would do the same with RQG. Kloster
  6. I would give the character the full benefit of initiation in each cult, i.e. skills bonuses, spells learnt and 3 rune points per cult. After all, the character will have to enforce the duties, tithing and restrictions for both cult, so why not having the full benefit. Kloster
  7. What I understand is that the linked spells becomes 1 single big spell, so the multispell is not cast on Mobility, but on the combined spell. In that case, you are right the multispell would cast the combined spell on 2 different targets. Kloster
  8. When needed, we always used the level of success, and in case of identical level, the margin. Kloster
  9. Or perhaps a certain Orlanthi that became thane of Apple lane should use Noble occupation instead of warrior. Kloster
  10. 1981, with D&D, then switched to RQ and Champions, that are still the mainstay. Brief and not so brief forays in other systems (Shadowrun, Vampire, Star Wars, James Bond and some others), but the basic (no pun intended) remained: RQ (BRP based) and Champions. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  11. Quite true. In fact, Alexandre Nevski is not about a Crusade (It should not be because told from the russian POV), but the teutonic knights where present in Prussia and Baltic states because of the Baltic Crusades , that lead to the creation of a monastic state of the teutonic knights. The Peipus lake battle (described in the movie), is between teutonic and Livonian (ie Balt) knights coming from this state and a russian army. I agree with you, Prokofiev music is real good, but I never had the chance to hear it played DURING the movie. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  12. Just watch Alexandre Nevsky Runequestement votre, Kloster
  13. No, I really meant 'does not r...'! Oh, does not matter. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  14. IIRC, the roman soldiers were using bronze very late and liked it because: 1/ contrary to iron, bronze does not rust. 2/ bronze was equivalent to basic iron for sword and other short weapons 3/ bronze was cheaper to iron (don't forget that up to Marius, roman soldiers had to pay for their equipments). It was the lack of tin that led to the progressive replacement of bronze by iron. Better work led later to a better iron, and then to steel, wich was clearly superior. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  15. Fully agreed on that. Agreed on most, but at what point do you fix the point when a sorceror surpass the other magic users. In over 20 years of RQ, including a 10 years long campaign, I think I have never reached that point, nor met anybody that has. If this point is reached after 20 years of a weekly game campaign, who cares. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  16. Apart on the last sentence, I fully agree here. More properly, I should say (on the last words) that this can perhaps occur, but after a time that is so long that I have never met somebody that has encountered it. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  17. Like I have already explained, different experiences, that lead to different opinions. I don't think we will agree on the subject. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  18. This one I should have remembered. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  19. Agreed. I agree. I was just telling that the sorcery part is not more problematic than what can be done by the other magician of same power level. But flexibility is of course a big advantage for the sorceror, more in my mind than the long duration spells. Agreed. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  20. Perfectly true. You can also add that Carmanians (which are part of the Lunar Empire) have also access to sorcery, in addition to manipulated spirit magic and divine magic. Runequesteemnt votre, Kloster
  21. On those points, we agree. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  22. My mistake. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  23. According to my experience in playing or meeting sorcerors, I think the sorceror is the one that requires the most enchantments, not the least. Runequestement votre, Kloster
  24. Back to the original topic: Right on track. Runequestement votre, Kloster
