  1. I've just checked ... and I was wrong. Limbs are arms and legs. Head, chest and abdomen are a different rule and you were right, Harmast should have 1 remaining hit points.
  2. IIRC, the head is a limb. That's why Harmast can't take more than 8 points in 1 hit (twice his original head hit points), and that's why he ends with 2 points. Kloster
  3. English is not my native language and I thus may be mistaken, but if I remember, "would have been married by the year 1605" means "have probably been married in 1605 or before". Kloster
  4. 4% of fumble means 97-100 (97%, 98%, 99% and 100%). Kloster
  5. Considering the high quality both of Sun County and Borderlands, this also would be great. Kloster
  6. That would be great. Kloster
  7. Literally, I read it as 'No', but frankly, if I were a GM, I would not see any reason to say 'No': If the player wants to be a narrow area specialist, let him be. Kloster
  8. As we play it, the arm takes damage when parrying with a shield, but the normal hit location is used if done with a weapon and the shield breaks at 0. Kloster
  9. Nice idea. The spells also are nice. Kloster
  10. In fact, you can raise your initial Power or Form runes above their initial value, whatever the value (50 if nothing done, or 75 if raised the step before). Kloster
  11. Except if the enemy runs away, by fear of the mighty spell (TM). Kloster
  12. As it is written "None of the spells cast on the protective circle can have a higher strength" and only sorcery spells have strength, I read it only sorcery spells can be cast on the circle, even if it is not explicitely stated. Kloster
  13. Thanks all for your insights. Soltakss, yes, I know I've partly answered, but this opinion was not the one of my GM, so we decided to ask the opinion of others. Kloster
  14. Does a character always use the same occupation (the one chosen/rolled during creation), and so yearly income, or can he change? It seems to me that somebody that is, let's say, a philosopher, can be hired as a scribe (if the skills are adequate). or that any competent fighter can be hired as a warrior (again, if the skills are right). In addition, I feel that somebody that becomes a priest of his cult, he should use the Priest occupation because it is using 90% of his time, and he is not practicing his own occupation anymore. Thanks for your illuminations. Kloster
  15. OK, thanks. I have never heard about it. Kloster
  16. My mistake, whole intensity has to be countered, so my examples are bad. Kloster
  17. I was only pointing that it is not so difficult, nor so hard to be with high INT if you want to play a sorceror, not that my character is able to cast BoKT at +2D6 for 1 year: He is not, if only because even with a 20 INT (I also choose Fire/Sky as primary rune), my free INT is much lower because of an Aeolian Orlanthi that also learnt Spirit magic. Please note that it is a personal choice, fully knowing that it would cost me some efficiency in sorcery, and that I am not complaining. Kloster
  18. As far as I have understood, you need only to beat the strength, not the whole intensity. Points used for duration or range does not count. At least, it was this in RQIII. And a Strength 1 Duration 15 spell can occur. For instance, cast Logician 1 for 1 season on somebody helps him with +10% on all lores ... and forbids him all augments for 1 season. It reminds me on casting fanaticism on a foe before he can cast all his spell: That meant no protection, no fireblade, no bladesharp, ... I am not doing anything, because I was not the OP, nor a GM, but I can see this occurring: My character is a sorceror, and I may find myself having a dominate spell without having learned the corresponding summon. In that case, it CAN occur, and I easily see my GM using the opportunity.
  19. Heal to heal a wound. Control Entity, to order a possessing entity to leave it's current home. Dispel Magic to remove a long lasting sorcery spell. Repair, well, to repair an object. Summon entity, if you know to control them but not to summon them. Kloster
  20. Let's call it dream multitasking. Kloster
  21. I don't think spell in matrix count in the CHA limit, and spell known by the fetch have their own CHA limit, which is not the one of the character. Idem for spells known by bound spirits. Kloster
  22. That's why my answer was 1/4 to 1/2 to the price of learning the spell. And as the cost of learning is higher for a non initiate, so is the cost of casting. Kloster
