  1. Game shops and book stores in Missouri carry lots of RPG material. Granted it's almost exclusively D&D, Pathfinder, Star Wars, and MAGIC. But honestly Wizards and Paizo put out SO MUCH material there's not room for much else. I still walk into my local Fantasy Shop a few times a year just to see what's new. I'd have a heart attack if I found a Chaosium section. There's not even Cthulhu in there.
  2. Cuz GOD FORBID you ever disappointed your spouse.
  3. i know a great venue for it! http://basicroleplaying.org/files/ :)
  4. Um...yeah...That's not good for me. Need it tomorrow. Chop chop!
  5. Twerking in chainmail bikini would be painful and all hair-pully.
  6. "Bluntly, if BRP Essentials looks more like the BGB / MW than it does RQ6 / Coc 7e I will be VERY surprised. Regards, Nick" This.
  7. I voted BGB because it's still my hope the trimmed down version is a less expensive way of putting BRP in book stores and a spring board to introducing BRP to the masses, which case the other systems might get noticed as well.
  8. well dang. Expanded Allegiance was one of my reasons for wanting it. What happened?
  9. A lot of these posts would make more sense (to me) if I were an employee of Chaosium, if I had a liscence to publish with Chaosium, or if I liked BRP/MW because I love Chaosium. This isn't the case. I like Chaosium because I love BRP/MW. It doesn't matter (to me) that "Business wise this move makes sense." or "Thank goodness they are revamping BRP instead of dropping it." If the company fails to produce products that I want to purchase, what's the point? Like I said, maybe Im wrong BRP essentials will be the bees knees and lead to great things. I'll be overjoyed to eat crow and offer sincere apologies. Hope I'm failing my Precognituon roll .
  10. This is wonderful news! I have great need of this suddenly.
  11. This is the beauty thing about BRP, as is. People like you can pull from it what they need/want for their projects. CF rocks for people who want D&D nostalgia or make it easier to bring previous D&D players into the light, while using the superior (IMO) system. If you can chop it down by 360 pages and still have that versatility I'll be genuinely surprised and extremely apologetic. I know there's a LOT of fluff in the big book but sheesh. Just seems to me having the core book with a good generic system is prime real-estate for building and selling different genres off of it. My Pen-n-paper group wanted to play a fantasy game so I bought Magic World, Magic the Book, Advanced Sorcery, Witchcraft, Enlightened Magic, and Classic Fantasy. Now they want to play a more modern genre, so I bought Modern Equipment Catalog and Rubble & Ruin. Would have bought more if I found some that I thought would help run the campaign. All of these in 2-3 years time. Maybe I'm a minority, but how is that not attractive to a company? Sorry I rambled on. Like I said....heart broken.
  12. Would sure like to see the previously proposed supplements for MW in PoD or PDF at least. A small offering before they close the casket...
  13. I can see why most continue to "feel the love" trickling from Chaos - Design. Having these beloved books available in SOME format (ANY format) makes it feel like it's still alive. To me, it feels more like a patient that's been on life support so long, the doctors don't even bother to check in anymore. They won't pull the plug because some family members still visit from time to time. I don't have the energy/love/work invested that many of you do, having only found BRP a few short years ago, but this is still breaking my heart. I don't know how I can support a master who merely feeds me scraps from the table with hints of more to come, when I can plainly see the cupboards bare. I don't know. I love my BRP as is, and if it's not only NOT going to be supported in all its glory, but chopped up into little pieces and labeled "new and improved" or "Essential"... Don't feed me crap and call it steak. Time will tell. It's not impossible that this streamlined version is just a spring board. A way to put books on shelves and make them better known. Kinda starting over.
  14. Ben just said on my FB page that they did have some folders with unpublished Stormbringer stuff so I stand corrected. (But it would have been a great cookie joke to include in the pics.)
  15. Your frustration is understandable and even justified (IMO). As one of those here who actively hope for the Chroniclers Companion I can say I was a bit depressed to see the "riding off into the sunset" posts as well. It even got me thinking, like you, about other systems. That and the stunning lack of viable news concerning the system I've been in a short term love affair with has me frustrated. It's like I found my soul mate and a couple months into the relationship I find out she's seeing someone who makes more money. (And has a squid face) "It's still early." I keep telling myself. "Restructuring an entire company takes time, much less absorbing and combining two." But then, as I said above, the lack of ANY news has me wondering if my hopes are misplaced. I "hope" not...
  16. You know someone just wrote that on there for the picture. Brilliant! LOL. Besides what if they decided to send it to you and you accidentally got the Cockatrice box?
  17. It'd be "convenient " if it could be fixed but I can use androids explorer as well. Dolphin is a less clunky browser without all the bells and whistles (that aren't necessary) that other browsers have so it runs faster. I'm quite impatient.
  18. Well I certainly hope they finish up and publish works for MW that are near completion! Ie: Chroniclers Companion and rumored critter book..
  19. After much frustration I've discovered it's NOT my phone. It's my BROWSER. Since the latest update BRPc doesn't like Dolphin Web Browser. Anyone else use Dolphin and can prove me wrong?
  20. Okay. I'm on my surface tablet now and can log out and in with no problems. Also I tried with my wifes phone, which is an identical Galaxy s5 and it worked fine.... Anyone have any clue why MY phone would be giving me grief logging in?
  21. Yeah. I had to generate a new password twice just to respond to this via mobile. Haven't tried desktop yet...
  22. On the 'R's... Getting close enough to smell the yellow musk zombies and finne!
