  1. Says local on page 287 I suspect that a Humakt ancestor worship subcult exists somewhere, I certainly have the descendants of Indrodar Greydog worshipping him as an ancestor cult via Humakt.
  2. That's pretty much it, all other published info is derived from issues of Dragons Past now published in the Stafford House Campaign.
  3. Wyters as subcults has been in the Core Rules since it they were published. It doesn't have to be a major cult, it just has to be local.
  4. You don't bind a wyter, all you need is the same shared passion in this case Love Family. As the wyter priest, you pay a point of POW to link to it. Give the wyter Spirit abilities: Rune magic Rune magic: Summon Ancestor, Summon Specific Ancestor, Incarnate Ancestor Other alternatives include: Active Possession, spirit magic or as suggested in the wyter section of the rules, just treat it as a subcult of another cult. Raus could easily have ancestor worship as a subcult of the Seven Mothers, just give the subcult a few of the Daka Fal spells. See Votank in LB as well.
  5. See the bronze Casting section of the What is Bronze box on page 12 0f Weapons & Equipment see also Greg's troll skull: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com/home/catalogue/websites/moondesign-com/archive-of-claudias-old-blogs-on-moondesign-com/dark-troll-skull/
  6. Just have the lineage founder (or whoever you want) as a wyter. The "priest" would be head of the house, if you want any fancy stuff, add it to the wyter as spirit abilities from the Bestiary (like Daka Fal Rune magic or the ability to make spirits visible). The tools are all there.
  7. It's mechanically easier, the bigger issue is the time getting spirit speech to 90% and having a sufficiently good spirit combat to take on what might be a big spirit and you can only do it once a year.
  8. Caladra & Aurelia are very specific to Caladraland. Likewise Kero Fin and Choralinthor. Hyalor is Grazelanders and parts of Peloria. Three Bean Circus wander the Plains of Prax. Other associate cults are not so restricted. As it also says, all of the associate cults are universally recognised as Great Temples - so head there for a full selection. The only other restrictions are the husband-protectors which will be limited to their respective regions except as noted, Esrolia (apart from Pamalt). Sun County in Prax has Yelmalio as Husband Protector, although I'd allow Flamal too. The Earth temple in Sun County is a major temple so will have a single associate cult (RQG 284), which I'd make Barntar. Don't forget the Great Temple of the Paps is close by, so everything is available there. That's how I run associate cults in my game (by the size of temple).
  9. Fertilize is only available to Caladra & Aurelion initiates or Asrelia & Ernalda as associate cults, so this is only going to be available in Caladraland or close by.
  10. Harmast does ride his zebras. See the chapter plate on page 98 of the Core Rules.
  11. It will depend where you are located. My group is in the Hiording lands close to Runegate where they can buy local horses. If you are south, Sun Dome is likely a horse trading place. We have two bison and a horse (and three donkeys) in the group, most of the adventurers walk.
  12. If accessed as an Orlanth Adventurous subcult (LB 34), you'd get them from Orlanth. Otherwise none, small spirit cults rarely give them (if at all). In addition to Thunderbolt, the spirit cult has Cloud Call available.
  13. Imagine... Huge Lunar spirits (lunes) summoned to entrance the animals, appearing like giant tendrils hanging from the moon. The transfixed part is clearly a form of Befuddle (part of the Lune attack on animals, deliberately failing their POW vs POW roll), now imagine bigger. Lunes will appear nearly invisible glowing slightly red in daylight.
  14. And note there's an error on the map, as the Wastes aren't flooded at all. I've now updated the map in the original thread.
  15. The overlapping of spell effects gives me a better overview of how CA healers work. Given the Rune point cost of spells, I'd give weight spells according to RP cost (low to high): If you've three Rune points, the 1-point spells are a no brainer (Summon Healing spirit, Healing Trance and pick one of the others - heal wound is common). You can be the most effective, letting you summon three healing spirits or Heal wound etc. This lets me have a room in the Jonstown temple where entranced initiates spend their 10% free time serving the temple, with Healing trance. The next big spend is two points of Regrow Limb.
  16. I've always found age long rituals with forgotten purposes, a great theme after reading Gormenghast.
  17. My friend who does horse archery say that the kids practice on saddles on a kind of trolley. He says much of it is about awareness of the horse in relation to the bow - where you can and can't move it. Horse archery is popular around here (London UK that is).
  18. or here: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com/heortland-in-the-third-age-ii/
  19. In my Glorantha, most of the Most Respected Elders attain their status at what we would recognise as past child-bearing ages (there are of course a few exceptions). Here's the last cycle of 49 Elders : Tribe Name Age when honored Year when honored Reign Died Death Age Impala Katenia 59 1379 50 1429 109 High Llama Noymee 54 1429 23 1452 77 Sable Janyten 48 1452 50 1502 98 Nosehorn Teto-Tha (Agimori) 47 1502 43 1545 90 Bison Norta-Ia 52 1545 27 1572 79 Morokanth Egajia 40 1572 57 1629 97 When Jaldon returns, Egajia is in her mid-nineties and Jaldon is.. well Jaldon a weird half-cursed hero and judging by his pictures, both may not be up to parenting. However the best example of mixed births, was the when the Zebra tribe was created:
  20. I may of course be wrong, I did just have a look, but I don't think I'd miss something that big 🙂
  21. It's not in the mythology book, and there is a giant spreadsheet, however I've no idea how that's being implemented.
  22. Use the one he's holding on page 143 of the Lightbringers, or pick one from this article and give it a nice handle: Organic residue analysis reveals the function of bronze age metal daggers Figure 1 :https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-09983-3/figures/1 I suspect most will be stone, but those with Earth wives are likely to have enchanted copper ones.
  23. Minor Holy Days are a problem as they take up whole day if attended, and so directly reduces adventuring time (major holy days don't have to count as they can happen outside adventure time. I'd only let assistant priests or shaman attend them if needed. Rune levels are more restricted if part of the hierarchy. Don't forget that their need to be enough initiates or lay members to be present. So Heler is unlikely to celebrate minor water days regularly.
