  1. Which subforums are giving you this? The BRP forum doesn't have subforums. Previously the threads in the Glorantha forum weren't showing up, but I could see the two subforums there (13G and the Guide group read) and their threads, and those are still showing up for me fine now.
  2. Steve

    Ral-zak-ark?

No, sadly. It was an exclusive for a very expensive tier of the Kickstarter.
  3. Indeed, but there's no way to reply, or to post a new topic. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. Has someone been playing with the controls?
  4. This is so sad. Any words seem massively inadequate, but - thank you, Greg, for everything.
  5. By "Resources book", do you mean the GM reference? I can't find anything called Resources, though sorry if I'm missing something.
  6. Yes, and I think this is part of the confusion and why I seem to be getting nowhere with my requests for a PDF of what's actually been printed. There was a much earlier version without that sidebar, but it had a lot more errors in too. Edit - I see that there have been a lot of updates to RQG PDFs going on. I can understand the priority being on that front but still, all I'm asking for is an existing PDF to be uploaded, not a new one to be created.
  7. Thanks, but have you tried downloading the version that is on Chaosium.com now? I think you've got an very early version of the PDF, before that sidebar was introduced. Please see the last few posts in the thread that I link, where several others are seeing the same thing - e.g. Phil Hibbs had the very early version too, and confirmed that if he downloaded the latest then the sidebar was there.
  8. I'm going to try again on this, since this has been raised before here with no response, and my posting on G+ seems to have been misunderstood by @MOB as far as I can tell. Chaosium guys, please can we have a PDF for the Glorantha Sourcebook that matches the hard copy? I'm not asking for further corrections, all I'm asking is that the rather old PDF for the GS is updated to reflect what was printed. My go-to example for this is the sidebar on p.154, which obscures the map key in the "current" PDF, but is missing in the hard copy and so there is nothing to obscure the map key, which is great. In the tribal edit thread for this book at the link below, Rick Meints said "While we don't mind people reporting errors, typos, and layout suggestions, please only submit them based on the LATEST version of the book. Page 154 no longer has border decoration". So although I haven't been through and checked for other things that had been said to be corrected, I suspect the uploaded version is simply an old one and there will be various corrections in the printed version (I'd be very surprised if the p.154 thing is the only discrepancy). Again, I repeat. I am not asking for further corrections. All I want is a PDF that matches my hard copy. Thanks.
  9. Aren't those just (in RQG terms) just weapon skills though, e.g quarterstaff in the case of your example? The Martial Arts skill in RQG as written is referring to unarmed combat. Of course someone who studies this may well choose to practice some weapon stuff too, e.g. "weapons" that are laying around such as staves, smaller sticks, rice flail, etc, but those will be their own weapon skills.
  10. There's a caveat at the start of the PDF version of this talk which basically says you can't rely on this all being canon. Though of course it's still a great read.
  11. The presence of aging doesn't prove that Time existed as such, at least not in terms of the linear time that later exists. Otherwise you could argue that because one event appeared to happen in the God Time "before" another, related event, then that also proves that Time existed then. It's surely far more complicated than that, like a being in three dimensional space trying to understand existence in, say, seven dimensions. Nice try, though
  12. Constructs based on actual events from the God Time, right? Or are you suggested they never happened? Because acting out the myths in heroquests and worship ceremonies seems to tap into the God Time successfully enough.
  13. Ordered. Any news on an updated PDF?
  14. Email Dustin at customerservice@chaosium.com and I'm sure he'll be happy to upload your purchases, so that you can then download them in the future.
  15. I just tried download the PDF and it still doesn't seem to be updated. At least, the error that I use for reference to check is p. 154 and the sidebar overlaying the Zero Wane map. Are you seeing something different?
  16. The next game in the series, "Lights Going Out", is under way - https://blog.sixages.com/index.php/2018/09/06/chapter-two/
  17. What's the source for this? The Mongoose book?
  18. Here are mine (and those that I've noted that others have raised, which also seem confusing to me now that I look at those), all based on the HQG rulebook: p. 35 - point 8 - does this mean only to spend on improving *existing* Runes and keywords, not buying new ones? pp. 35/36/46 - Distinguishing characteristic. If you choose it as a new ability, its score is 17. As a breakout ability, it adds +1 to the score of the linked keyword. But if this keyword has a score of 13 (like the basic score of the third rune), does it mean than the distinguishing characteristic increases to +4 to reach the minimum of 17 or does it keeps its +1? pp.60/63 - inconsistency about whether you can use any number of Hero Points or just one. p.60 1st column, second-to-last paragraph says only one, p.63 says in item 6 you can use any number for a Simple Contest. p.63 - The results table is very confusing to a newcomer (always a victory and never a defeat?), and much better on p.28 of the HQ core rulebook. p.101 - (ok, this is a typo, but it's a very important one because it changes the meaning) In Defensive Responses it says "If the hero wins the exchange, he lodges 2 fewer Resolution Points against his opponent. If the hero loses the exchange, the number of Resolution Points lodged against his opponent decreases by 1." The second sentence should say "If the hero loses the exchange, the number of Resolution Points lodged by his opponent decreases by 1". p.116 - Complete Defeat mentioned in the example in the second column, fifth paragraph, presumably at the King's Banquet, and in the second column, third paragraph it refers to major victories/defeats being double arrows. This is confusing because you would think that both Major and Complete Defeats should then be double arrows, but it's not marked like this in the Sample Notation diagram at the bottom of the first column.
  19. I've queried this before, but I don't recall getting an official answer.
  20. There's very little mention of Elurae in the Guide. They don't feel like an EWF experiment to me because of their shapechanging ability. Love the myths, great work.
  21. ^^ Excellent. Hopefully this means that general orders are imminent.
  22. From the Guide, we have the following references that I spotted with specific regard to the name "God Learners": p.135 - "... the heirs of these wizards, popularly called God Learners ..." p.412 - "... the home of the sorcerous movement that became known as the God Learners". p.465 - "The Jrusteli sorcerors, often called the God Learners ..." p.503 - "The investigators in this process were commonly known as the God Learners". All these references, particularly the "commonly known" and "popularly called" ones, make it seem probable that "God Learner" was an external name applied to these people, and we don't have a reference for what they called themselves (perhaps nothing initially, and they adopted the externally-given name as it seemed appropriate?
  23. I see (from Kickstarter comments) that the books seem to now be finally arriving in the hands of the backers. Hopefully it won't be long before they (the hard copies) go up for general orders for those (like me) who missed the KS.
