  1. Answering some of the first posts about the Lunars spreading themselves too thin, this is very true, but as for the Sartarites reacting almost instantaneously, how would they do this? They don't have perfect communication and it would also mean large numbers of Orlanthi missing the high holy day, surely a piss poor omen for the rest of the year if not a decade, and all that rune magic you don't get? Even if they sent 98 Lunars, that would still mean 400+ [its not EXACTLY 40 thousand, right?] Lunars to defend Boldhome and the BAT, which must be one of the best defensive tools ever! It would also mean the Voxsaxi leaving their homes completely defenseless to go and fight... But the fight is a forgone conclusion, so who cares?
  2. Give you a random ogre[s] of the large number living among the Sartarites? Probably a Windlord or 3 and a priest. I would have thought though almost every single Summon Evil would get you a next door neighbour every year. it becomes a race to who casts the spell first... or last. I would say also that the vast majority of Lunars are not evil, but I suppose they could be, but that really would mean that your feuding nextdoors are too... Dumb dumb dumb spell.
  3. Aren't we still waiting for the GMs Book or what have you, or was that the recent arms book?
  4. I will provide a nice shoe shaped cake, just in case. But I really expect to be doling out cake to all and sundry.
  5. I agree, very much so, but I don't think it's either/or.
  6. Wizard of Oz reference aside, I seem to remember that a human with 21 Dex could fire a bow 2 then 3 then 2 then 3 times a round, as long as Melee Rounds were seamless [as they should be].
  7. Only if you see them as only dealing with human spirits. DF is AN intercessionary but not the only one. Kolat [who are very much loners] springs to mind and there are both Elves and Trolls in Sartar. Perhaps you should read my reply again and not find the word 'all' or 'every'.
  8. It's a bit of a let down if you ask your God to let you kill more of your foes and you die next round. 😉😉
  9. I hate the 'kill more' request. "Oh, I've asked my god for a request that's going to make the rest of you chumps redundant for the rest of this critical combat. Sos." No thanks. Surviving til the end, yeah. Superpowers til the end? Er, No. Humakt's already a bit of a copout as Death Gods go, just give them DIs' like everybody else.
  10. Ty Kora Tek for the majority of Oldies, women and men. Death comes for all, regardless of gender.
  11. That the shaman are city dwellers doesn't automatically follow, there is plenty of wild land and rural area in Sartar which they could almost exclusively live. But even as I say that your idea of spiritualist/necromancer is an attractive one, with spirit guide and séances thrown in for good measure!
  12. If shapeople are those that communicate and manipulate spirits, they are just as likely to be in cities as in the wild in Glorantha, where everything is magical and many things have a spirit. It's the method and view of the world that varies.
  13. Yes, he murdered people from many parts of the world and every social strata. He truly was an equal opportunities psychopath.
  14. Can you have such a thing? What would they look like*, besides the carroty noses'? *obviously I don't mean physically really. 🤔🙄
  15. A/ It would be. B/ Ernalda is the 'head' of the pantheon, sort of, ish so that is a possibility. Having kids tag along when you wander around chopping peoples' willie's off cause they looked at you funny is not the best idea. D/ I wasn't being very serious. 🙂 But yeah, why no kids? Isn't playing something with some restrictions a bit more interesting? If people want to play mother with an axe, Ernalda really is a good fit.
  16. Nooo! She is in the Orlanth-Ernalda niceness clique. Therefore cannot do bad things. When it says slaughtered the people in the valley of the Healers, it means got them slaughtered, which is an English euphemism for 'got them very drunk.' She is just very generous with her cash. Any rumours of her being a barbaric monster who should be kept celibate to stop her spawning more like her are wrong and bad and the Gods responsible for spreading such things will be put on the naughty step!
  17. No, She's not important or big enough to have three runes. God knows why she is seen as a Grain Goddess! Her grain is Kers' or Fins'? Or perhaps Aurochs, they are a type of grain, right? Right?
