  1. So, less of a "glance", and more of a stare 😛
  2. It was only 20L... My first thought is - use the regular SR ranks, replacing SIZ & DEX with POW & INT, and add 3 for re-focussing on each aspect (POW, MPs, current spells) . Obviously, per person, not the whole group (Although, if they're together, you'd see the POW aura of them. After that you'd have to focus individually. So, in 10 seconds, you could take it all in of an individual, or have a good idea of the POW of a group close together. Spells in use take longer (as some are very localised, and others over a greater area, and then there's layering...)
  3. Hi We are all one.... Has anyone done up a character sheet that incorporates sorcery?? Yes, obviously it wouldn't take a lot of effort to make one, but mine wouldn't be so pretty 😛
  4. et al. According to https://www.really-learn-english.com/degree-symbol.html, " Rules for using the degree Use the degree symbol for temperatures in Celsius (C) and Fahrenheit (F) Fahrenheit is the temperature scale that is used in the United States. It is abbreviated by a capital F. All other countries use Celsius as their temperature scale. Celsius is part of the metric system. We abbreviate Celsius with a capital C. When writing something informal, you can either use the degree symbol or write out the word "degrees." When writing for science, use the degree symbol. Examples: Water freezes at 32° F or 0° C.. ..... Spacing with the degree symbol and temperatures Style books do not agree on the spacing with the degree symbol and temperature abbreviations. Some style books, such as The Chicago Manual of Style, tell us to not put a space between the temperature, degree symbol, and unit of measurement. Examples: 10°C 35°F Other style books, such as The AMA Handbook of Business Writing, tell writers to put one space after the degree symbol. Examples: 10° C 35° F Some scientific guides advise writers to put a space before the degree symbol. Examples: 10 °C 35 °F The space between the degree symbol and the temperature scale is really just a matter of the style guide you use. In most cases, it should not matter which style you choose to follow. "
  5. But if you're going strictly by the RAW of a resistance table, then POW 21 still has a 5% chance to increase... Of course, if doing that, the obvious thing would be to off-load the point into RPs (presuming you have them).
  6. That would suggest being able to go above Species Max...
  7. I thought they were going to Gravy Street...
  8. ??? Why? It's merely the luck of the draw that Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia didn't have potatoes as a native species. And Glorantha is Glorantha - it's not any of those other continents. Tubers were very normal foods to consume otherwise.
  9. There's mention in Voices of the Grazers going to the Sun Domes (although, possibly just as a special one-off event). Barntar is often seen as an aspect of Orlanth. Folorene may not have a Storm Tribe counterpart - or at least one not yet made into a full write-up. There is sooooo much of Glorantha that a) hasn't been written about, and b) doesn't have a simple 1 to 1 counterpart in/within Dragon Pass - or, for that matter, any type of counterpart at all!
  10. What year was that made? The only "The Horsemen" that I am finding is about a detective.. blah blah.. murdered wife... blah blah....
  11. D&D also has Small, Medium, Large, etc... And, one of the downfalls (in my more simulationist opinion) is that a tall bulky STR-based human can wear the same gear (loot) as a short slim DEX-based elf... all Medium!
  12. I think... One thing adding specific mechanics (as per Folk Magic) to the game is it does make the world seem more magical in a way that the PCs don't come across as quite as special and unique as is often made out to be. Eg, most cultists will increase 1 point of spirit magic per 5 years for free. In a highly magical world, that seems pretty poor. Throw in Folk Magic, and the initiate is getting a boost to magics regularly - just not overly powerful stuff. It would also enhance the community feel. Even though most of a community may be a simple Lay Member of a cult (or 3), they would still have connections with the local priests, with these simple Folk Charms being a significant connecting point. So, in a way, having Folk Magic (charms etc) means initiation isn't the no-brainer many probably think it is. Why wouldn't someone be an initiate of a few different cults? Oh, because they still get some reasonable benefits anyway from being a Lay Member anyway - benefits more fitting to their role in society. Very few actually need a Disruption, but many will want a Scare Rodents Away. A Repair is actually a big deal, but a Mending would be everywhere. And Stir the Pot is no longer an Eurmali cult secret spell 😛
  13. "You find an enchanted Iron breastplate to fit a Siz 16... no, not that Siz 16, the other Siz 16..." I'd say it's worth it
  14. SIZ is quite easy to... "improve" 😛 Much easier than any other stat.
  15. Oh, I had another question.. more generic. Your spells (and sometimes skills) are specific to certain cults and sub-cults. Do you know if all of those cults and sub-cults will be listed in the GaGoG?
  16. I'm slowly making my way through this, and glad it's been published! I'm really liking the crafting section so far, and the Alchemy was nice too! Query - In the Crafting Spells section, Imbue with Quality and Imbue with Magic are both Touch spells - what are you touching? The crafter or the item? (so, could Crafter A cast the spell on Crafter B? Or...???) Related to this, there are a number of other Self spells in the list... why the specific difference? ETA - Alloy Metals - The final properties of the alloys are… both combined?? GM discretion? (When Copper and Tin are combined, you get a substance that is harder than either individually...)
  17. I'd suggest if doing this, then making a pre-requisite of 90% in the deity's Rune(s). You can't do your god's things if you're just not that much into what s/he is about... And, obviously, you can only do those things associated with those Runes (at 90%+). This would mean, if you have Ernalda and Fertility at 95%, you still don't get to use any of the Harmony or Earth powers until they get up high as well.
  18. Like some of those described in the Book of Doom.
  19. I suspect those NPC priests would consider reading the RQG rulebook to be a form of God Learnerism... and so, perhaps they don't teach that to the kids?? (and probably don't know themselves!)
  20. I see your problem here! It's supposed to be "Corrections and Well of Daliath Library Use", not a Lore roll....
