10baseT Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Order placed, thanks. The Huns will be under my tree, drinking spiced kumis and pillaged sweet cakes. Quote
soltakss Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 No wonder they are barbarians - spicing kumis indeed! Kumis tastes great when plain ... Mankcam Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Ok, ordered. Hopefully the pdf will be in my inbox soon, and the physical book at my address before Christmas perhaps... Looks like potentially another good expansion to the Fantasy Earth series . Every setting can do with a few Huns or Mongols, even if re-trapped to fit a fictional setting Hurry up St Nick Quote " Sure it's fun, but it is also well known that a D20 roll and an AC is no match against a hefty swing of a D100% and a D20 Hit Location Table!"
seneschal Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 So each of you took steps to acquire the steppes? (I'll be stepping along now ...) Quote
Zit Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I created a blog on the model of what Gianni makes for The Celestial Empire, with hopefully helpfull ressources. I hope I can maintain it on the long run. There is to date not much, but I'll realy start in January. http://windonthesteppes.blogspot.de/ 1 Quote Wind on the Steppes, role playing among the steppe Nomads. The running campaign and the blog
RosenMcStern Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 Preorder ends SOON - take advantage now (before the nomads take advantage of you ) Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Vorax Transtellaris Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I assume it's worth throwing in a copy of Celestial Empire as well. 1 Quote RPGbericht (Dutch)
10baseT Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 To get into the Hun spirit (as if you need any reason) Marco Polo was released on Netflix about 2 weeks ago and its pretty good. I like Khublai's attitude (can you not have attitude and be Hun?) and i'm inspired to roll up some fun NPCs. Fun to watch. Quote
Prime Evil Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 OK...I didn't even know that this product was coming, but sprang for the preorder as soon as I saw this thread. Two questions: Does the free shipping offer count for international orders as I'm in Australia? If not, I'm happy to cover the difference, but I'm keen for a good treatment of the steppe nomads. Also, when I paid for my order via PayPal I wasn't asked to specify a delivery address. Unfortunately the one that they have on file is out of date and that is the one that appears on the receipt. Is there a way to specify an alternate delivery address? Quote
RosenMcStern Posted December 26, 2014 Author Posted December 26, 2014 Will check about the address, PayPal should ask you to confirm it. In any case please contact me via PM here or the Alephtar Games contact form to provide the good address. "Free shipping" means free shipping for everybody. Aussies are usually the ones who are the happiest of this fact. 4 Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Mankcam Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Wow, I assumed 'Free Shipping' only pertained to Europe, UK, and USA. As an Aussie I'm pretty happy to see that we were included; great news! rogerd Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Is it available in PDF? Good timing on the release of this really what with the series Marco Polo Quote
RosenMcStern Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 PDF coming soon! The dead tree version is being printed at the moment, unfortunately we missed the holidays due to a couple disk crashes but it will soon be in your hands. Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Vorax Transtellaris Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I ordered both the Steppes book and Celestial Empire. Do I get a free pdf with the Celestial Empire book? It said so on the site, but not on the PayPal receipt. Quote RPGbericht (Dutch)
RosenMcStern Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 Yes, you do if it is written so. I'll contact you later for this and other subjects. Steppes is currently at the printer, I expect the physical books to be ready next week. Add time for fulfillment and shipping and you have a rough ETA. 2 Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Mankcam Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Any idea when the pdfs will be sent out to us? Getting very interested in this publication... RosenMcStern Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 I'll make the PDF and a preview available before the end of the month. I hope physical copies will ship at the same time, but they are not yet back from the printer. Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
RosenMcStern Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 A preview is now available: http://www.alephtargames.com/images/preview/wots-preview.pdf The preorder campaign is now over but you can still order the book from the alephtar games web site. The printer promised me the book would be ready this week. Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Prime Evil Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Nice preview - I'm really looking forward to this now! I recently bought the PDF of the old Chivalry & Sorcery Swords & Sorcerors supplement and was thinking how great the Mongol section is - even though the scholarship it is based on is a bit dated. Now I really need to add some steppe nomads to my homebrew campaign setting, so this may be very useful to me... Quote
RosenMcStern Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 The PDF should now be available on DriveThru. I have experienced a technical issue while sending the free copies to the people who preordered, so I do not know whether they have received them or not, and DTRPG is down for me at the moment. In any case if you have pre-ordered do not worry, you will receive your PDF within tomorrow. Quote Proud member of the Evil CompetitionTM
Vorax Transtellaris Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Will the PDF of other books ordered also arrive by then? Quote RPGbericht (Dutch)
