  1. I chose Roll20 to play RQG because it has an awesome character sheet that speeds up play by making all calculations for you. I don't think other platforms have that (yet).
  2. Have a look at this review of The Glorantha Sourcebook if you need more convincing. 🙂 It even includes a video!
  3. Here you can see some different varieties of keets: They live on the East Isles, far away from Dragon Pass and Prax.
  4. I'm looking forward to watching the White Bull campain online. 😀 But I wonder if it will contain spoilers... Maybe my GM won't let me see it after all! OTOH, the Sartar Homeland book doesn't look too exciting. You could just direct your players to Sartar: Kingdom of Heroes for the same content, right?
  5. The simple heroquesting rules I created for my RQ games so far included the idea Shiningbrow just mentioned. That is, for every 5 participants in the ceremony that are supporting the heroquester/s (praying, chanting, etc. on the holy ground where the quest starts), the heroquester/s get a 1% that works like the Luck points in CoC 7th ed. Meaning you can spend these points to alter the result of rolls down so you succeed or achieve better levels of success. But once used, they are gone until they are generated again in a new heroquest. You could also include the idea that adjusting the participants as close as possible to the original myth provides extra "luck points" to spend as a safe net. For example, if you are an initiate of Vinga in a Vingan myth, you get +25 points to spend. However, if you are undertaking a Vingan myth while being an initiate of Orlanth Thunderous, you do not.
  6. Even if the goddesses were not Inica and Einkorn, I love the details in that story.
  7. Great news! I find it amazing and ironic the fact that the author wrote the 1st edition of the rules drawing heavily from RQ3, and now, 30 years later, his game is sold by Chaosium. Full circle.
  8. Love Venrik the servant! BTW, the mention of the Five Trees of Bounty makes me think the campaign Korissa played in must be Gloranthan Adventures 2 Red Sun Rising
  9. I ran that one once at a con. Great fun. 😄
  10. This article may be of interest: https://andrewjluther.com/2017/09/24/heroquest-but-can-it-do-dd/
  11. In this case, you are giving some advantage to the guard, but both guard and assassin got a success. IMHO, I would do like in Pendragon and Mythras: the highest success wins. Another option: the highest skill wins.
  12. Hi HeirophantX, I wrote a post for solving exactly your question. Have a look here! 🙂 However, some others have given you already good answers.
  13. Ian Thompson's old Pavis & Big Rubble expansion zines (sold by Tradetalk.de) include lots of fun hints about the secrets of Pavis dwarfs. More here.
  14. I would say DEX-SR + 3 SR 🤔 Perhaps you could add +1SR for every 5 CAR you are wearing.
  15. Maybe a critical when you have a skill over 100% could reduce the level of success of he attempt to parry of your adversary. So if you get a result of 5 when you have 115%, not only you get a critical, but you reduce your adversary's successful parry to a failure.
  16. I haven't watched Torchwood, but wow. Did they resurrect Humakt?
  17. Good idea, I hope all this thread is considered by Chaosium as pitches for future campaign books! 😋 "You are all Aldryami in the Garden of Old Pavis, trying to geat ahead of the plans the trolls have to hunt you down and burn down your Shanasse Tree". "You are all Masloi pirates trying to eke out a living in the Edrenlin Isles north of the Elamle Peninsula, when one day, you get pieces of a weird treasure map" (I was playing this one before the virus...! 😞) "You are a group of Pelorian adventurers who have found out a temporal way to sneak past the Syndics Ban and into Charg: your mission: explore the land and try to break the Ban from within." "You are all rune lords and ladies from the six kingdoms of Kethaela during the Second Age, trying to thwart the plans of the EWF who want to turn the land into the Head of the True Dragon". "You are all a group of Heortlanders, Esvulari and Godforgotters, sneaking into the dangerous Clanking City, trying to find a secret at the behest of Mularik Ironeye, one of the friends of Argrath". When Google+ was still up, I remember someone was running a campaign in which "You are all Lunar missionaires trying to get as many converts as possible in Teshnos, to eventually convert the king to the Lunar Way". In the KRAKEN CON of 2016 Robin Laws produced another nifty campaign idea using ideas from the public: "You are all members of an Issaries merchant caravan heading to Kralorela in search of draconic secrets to bring back to the rebellion, but also trying to get there before Lunar agents and Etyries merchants".
  18. So GM book and Players' Book. Then Cosmic Zap by Ron Edwards, Afterthought (perhaps what Sean Hillman talked about here) and a pulp setting. Then a third volume of the Red Cow saga for Glorantha.
  19. There is a stage on the Making of the Storm Tribe myth from King of Dragon Pass, which is called The Doubting Wheel. https://kingofdragonpass.fandom.com/wiki/The_Making_of_the_Storm_Tribe Have a look: <Quester> enters the realm of the gods, where he begins to feel the restlessness of Orlanth, because the Emperor is strong and denies Orlanth's proper place in the world. Ernalda tells <Quester> that the Emperor's advantage over Orlanth is his tribe; if he is to challenge the Emperor, <Quester> must also make a tribe. <Quester> goes wandering, considering her words, until the Doubting Wheel rolls up. It tells <Quester> not to make a tribe. "If you put yourself above all the others, you will be just as bad as the Emperor. The people will expect you to tell them what to do, and in doing so they will steal your own freedom, which is the thing you value most."

Thank you, that reminded me of this picture of Argan Argar traders in Six Ages: Ride like the Wind: 😋
  21. Maybe the God Learners actively hunted down all the Arkati guardians, and the survivors had to resort to guerrilla warfare or hide away as hermits in Tatoo... I mean, in Pavis. If there are more intersections than Arkati guardians, then the ones they do guard must be key.

Thank you everyone, I'll expose all your points to my friend. 🙂

I think this is cooool. However, a friend of mine who recently found out about Gloranthan sunglasses thanks to the art in The Pegasus Plateau thinks they are dumb, since trolls don't need their eyes to see. "They could wear a blindfold outdoors and the result would be the same". That got me thinking. Would it make more sense for trolls and trollkins to just wear blindfolds when outdoors during daylight hours?
  24. Here's my opinion on Jorthan's Rescue Redux! 😋👍 I will likely integrate it into my Pavis/Prax campaign. I should have reviewed first The Throat of Winter as I promised (sorry Crel!), but I'm still waiting for a friend to decide if he's going to run it in his Sartar HQ campaign... 🙄
