  1. Considering when they were produced, I'm not surprised. The plates for these were probably destroyed after each print run. What is amazing is how much Chaosium printed of each of these. These are still the original print runs. SDLeary
  2. From the errata file... I would include Dodge in this, even though it's not listed. Dodge is not a weapon skill. And HERE is the link to the errata file. SDLeary
  3. In addition to this, Tadashi Ehara is still selling Different Worlds. SDLeary
  4. I don't have the book nearby. Are you sure we are talking about British Romans, and not Continental Romans? EDIT: Never mind, I somehow remembered "Italians" as Romans. SDLeary
  5. You can't dodge missiles. SDLeary
  6. Not pointless. The gritty nature was taking over... Zero to Hero; you also can get more skill differentiation. Also, if you are creating a % system, why not use % (adding at base 5%, your essentially creating a d20 system using different dice). SDLeary
  7. Probably because they moved from a base 5% increase to a true % (base 1%) increase system. If you look carefully, skills are much more fine grained in RQ3. SDLeary
  8. White Dwarf, up until about issue 100 often had non-GW/Citadel articles. Often those were articles for RQ, Cthulhu, or DnD. SDLeary
  9. The way we played it, cumulative damage mattered. So you would remove "from a single hit" from limbs as well. SDLeary
  10. I don't have my copy to consult, but the references start in the Genertelan portion of the campaign, and continue to the Pamaltelan. And at least one refers to parents of deities... I'd quote the page, but I'm looking at the ePub right now. Now to be fair, this could simply be trickster Sandy leading us along. A favorite pastime of his on the campaign. SDLeary
  11. If anyone is interested, there are a lot of references to Grey Ones (Gray Ones) from Sandy's old early 80's campaign. You can find version 3.1 of the log HERE, chronicled by Jeff Okamoto. SDLeary
  12. I would also think something along the lines of ancient Chinese bamboo scrolls as well. Small flat staves bound top and bottom. This also provides a somewhat uniform "lined" surface to write upon... Ancient filler paper! SDLeary
  13. Probably embellishing with much more scrollwork and illustrations/illumination. The copy has to be fit for their god after all! SDLeary
  14. Outstanding! Can't wait to see what you produce! SDLeary
  15. Or simply house rule the spell itself... a much easier procedure. A simple erratum that states the bonus applies to attack only. That being said, I do not like the "Skill over 100" rules as they stand, as it does come with some wonky results to even unmodified combat IMHO. As they have HQ in their system stable, it would have probably been better to implement Masteries for the heroic level combat that Chaosium was shooting for; though for me the simple increase in Specials and Critical Hits, along with splitting skill to handle multiple opponents would have been enough. SDLeary
  16. CDA is complete, so I think you should be OK with just that. Anything else you really need is described in MI. Your not really missing out on anything, but the BRP Big Gold Book does provide a lot of systemic options that you might like to add in (Hit Locations being an example). SDLeary
  17. Hmmm... different strokes. In this situation, I would think that the character would be limited by the lesser of the two, not adding to the chance of success. SDLeary
  18. This. In fact, I think that Ben had Star Wars in mind when he was writing/editing that portion of the rules. SDLeary
  19. My guess is because it represents the core of the BRP system. SDLeary
  20. While it appears that way from what we see, I'm not sure that assumption is necessarily accurate. We have an extremely large variety of blade lengths and geometry, some which do not seem conducive to shields. Rhomphaia and Falx certainly seem to be two handed weapons. There had to be some part of their art that included parrying, as they couldn't be guaranteed to be behind a shield wall. SDLeary
  21. Yes, Greg was working on 6th Ed. But I think that that was way far out. Before that, the line-up was somewhat full with Sires, Feasts, the new book on Magic, and others. In addition to these, there was Myrmidon and a Samurai game. If these and Paladin are all coming with Pendragon, then I hope the line editor chosen is well familiar! SDLeary EDIT: Never mind! Same editor. Welcome David!
  22. I agree. After all it it is a full line of product, with a history to it. SDLeary
  23. Well, considering the subject matter and the period(s) that it emulates, I'm not sure that "selling" would be the right thing. They would probably want to "Gift" it to a Lord, and see what said Lord would gift them in return. Now, "Saxons" does have boat prices based upon the number of oars. A "typical" Saxon boat is listed as about 75ft long, with 30 oars (15/side), and a Cost/Value of 10£. SDLeary
  24. Lunars are a confederation focused on a common religion. If you ask a common man, he will not say he's a Lunar, and probably a noble wouldn't identify that way either. They are going to be Pelorian, Dara Happan, Tarshite, etc. SDLeary
