    Soul Winds

    I was unclear in my answers The soul wind is a power of the shaman counter in the Nomad Gods boardgame. Since I haven't played it since a long time, my memory is hazy. I checked if the power had been translated from unit level to character level. It was done for MRQ2 I think that this power will appear someday in the new runequest.

The by-products are moon rocks, and because the targeted peoples suffered greatly ghosts, wraiths and passion spirits. A junior member of the regiment discovered that some of these moon-stones have power on the spirits created by the blast. Procedure: Around 1% of the moon rocks are special. To find the special stones, one has to sift through the remains of a Meteor Storm while using magical sight. The special stones are those that show a small flickering figure within their glow. There is a link between the spirit and the stone. Powers: The summoning of the linked spirit is easy, and if the stone is used as a binding enchantment, the ritual costs 1 less POW (minimum 1 POW) Value: At least as much as a binding enchantment.
  10. I may have missed something. I have seen orders to go from open order to close order, but no order to go from close order to open order. Am I right?
  11. My understanding is that it can be increased like any other skill. I think it begins at POWx3 so that the players don't forget to put points in it (others skills begin at char1+char2).
  12. There is no theoretical limit to the size of a philosopher's stone. There is a practical limit tied to the skill and endurance of the alchemist. The reason why is explained p220 of the rule book
  13. You could have a sensibly planned colony beset by accidents. The ultra modern orbital factory was struck by an asteroid, the vessel carrying the vehicles landed on the wrong landmass ... You have colonists who have technological knowledge but who have to build their technological infrastructure from scratch.

I have seen two things in the weapon statistics table on page 27 there are 2 lines for fist comparing with the table on page 26 (starting skill value), I think that the first line with fist should be Butt Butt - - 1D4 Head instead of Fist Fist - - 1D4 Head On page 44 in the fetch table there is no POW value foe a roll 11-20

The problem with the RAW in the magic book is not that POW points are burned to learn divine magic spells, it is that an initiate needs to have 10 points of remaining divine magic spells to become a priest. It means that no initiate will use divine magic. In addition the fact that divine magic spells are one-use for the initiates make them less useful than enchantments (described in the chapter for ritual magic) A solution for the first problem is to change the requirements for becoming priest from having 10 points of available divine magic to having sacrificed for 10 points of divine magic. A solution for the second problem is given in the file http://talmeta.net/runequest/house/beyke/beyke.pdf section 6.4.2 page 13

  19. In the example stat blocks, the barbarian fyrd member has a skill of close combat (bite), it may be a little too barbaric <g> My feeling about the SIZ characteristic is that it should be kept. It is the common element of the d100 family. We could have the SIZ characteristic for the mass/weight and a reach class for the length of the creature.
  20. I was relieved by the statement from Ben. Slow trickle is fine by me too. I was worried that BRP and Magic World would be abandonned. I have a sweet spot in my heart for BRP.
  21. I think too that they are Loki's agent. Loki grants to the intercessionists a kind of immortality since it can transfer their mind to a clone of their old bodies. A human who enlists in the organization (an alpha agent) is promised that his mind and memories wont be modified. I think that Loki mostly keeps his part of the bargain. Only traumatic memories are removed. Loki never promised anything about copying minds. Those copies (the beta agents) can and will have their mind and memories modified. At first Loki had two goals : -to contact the others AI -to guide humanity to a next stage of evolution (Loki has a good grasp of the human mind thanks to its experiences on the beta agents) When the contact with the others AI went badly, as the old god did, Loki swore vengeance to the machine civilization and decided to help the redemptionists in their quest.   23. We have indeed the stats for the divine mother, but we don't have stats for Helena, Rack her servant, Petro the bandits' leader That's what I meant (I could make them, but I am curious about what the author had in mind for them)
  24. I have noticed that the stats of the NPC from 'the divine mother of jaguar' are missing. Is there an errata somewhere? Thanks in advance.
