  1. Thanks Mankcam! There might be one more version depending on if problems come up in continuing play test but I think it is nearly done.
  2. I'm with Mankam. I just upped my pledge on the Revolution kickstarter so that I can get Merrie England but Homeward looks like a long shot... Would you guys consider kick starting Homeward by itself if Revolution is funded but doesn't bring in the stretch goals? I mean afterall I gotta have it!
  3. That sounds awesome! The only suggestion I might make is to try to avoid making the setting too railroady. A lot of people considered that a problem with Rogue Mistress. When do you think you might publish your book? Thanks again!
  4. Hey all, I just uploaded the latest version of The Second Way freeform magic rules to this site. There are lot of small change that came about during playtest. You can get it at the link below or from the download section.
  5. TrippyHippy, Sorry if I missed it but is Enlightened Magic being re-released? I think you can still buy it from Chaosium's website? Regarding the next version of After the Vampire Wars perhaps it will be combined with Enlightened Magic. They certainly go well together..
  6. I have and recently read AtVW and Snead did a good job (though the laminate on mine seems kinda iffy...). Having said that I am not a big fan of hit locations so I am likely to run it with the BGB and not the new BRP Essentials...
  7. Yeah I feel the same way. I have bought only one book from Alephtar but BRP Rome was full of awesomeness. Later I found BRP Central and saw Paolo participating in conversations with his customers. Those two things made it easy for me to support the Revolution D100 kickstarter despite me being totally new to crowd sourcing. I want Alephtar to succeed and will contribute towards that goal...
  8. Thanks Charles! What is the tech levels of the worlds touched by the astral seas? All fantasy worlds or are some of them high tech / low magic...How similar / different is Homeworld to Rogue Mistress from Stormbringer? Is Homeworld a pure settings book or will it contain rules as well?Any chance the allegiance rules you originally did for Magic World will make an appearance?
  9. I could see this being particularly useful to people just discovering D100.
  10. That's funny. I am going to have to use that expression in the future! :-)
  11. I like the idea but wouldn't it be better to make this site the central place to download BRP related files? I ask because having things in one place is better than having to search multiple places for files... For example in the next few weeks I will be uploading the 1.8 version of "The Second Way", my take on Advanced Sorcery's Deep Magic. I will put it on this site (and maybe Facebook) because I think most people would look here... Ronnie
  12. Unfortunately with Alephtar losing their license to BRP I suspect not... Unless Chaosium still sells the PDF which I don't think they do...
  13. I saw a copy of BRP Mecha at Noble Knight games Wednesday. If I remember correctly it was $54. I don't know if it was used or new... You might check it out...
  14. Could it be they just ran out? If it is selling well maybe they will print more...
  15. Thank you! I will pick up the hard copy when it comes out. I am not sure of the time period but could you use this setting to do sort of a Jack the Ripper mystery kind of game?
  16. Thanks SDLeary! Does Renaissance use hit locations?
  17. Okay... Two more questions... I have only played straight BRP and Stormbringer. How hard will the Renaissance system be to pick up? What are the biggest differences between Stormbringer and Renaissance?
  18. I have never played Renaissance or for that matter CoC but Dark Streets sounds sooo fun... How does the magic system compare to standard BRP? Does this game include clockwork mechanisms?
  19. Normally $65 or $70 is the upper limit on what I will spend on a GOOD rpg book. Of course if it is some type of bundle deal then it can be more expensive. I only own a few books that I view as worth $65 (much less $120) and they include the old D&D monstrous manual, the D&D players handbook (2E), RQ6, GURPS ROME, Alphetar's BRP Rome, Hero System 5th Edition, and "maybe" the big gold book. I would pay $120 for a Magic World bundle if it included a hard copy version of MW with improved layout and addressed errata and a hard copy monsters manual done in the style of TSR's Monstrous Manual but I would expect it to be well written and polished. I am hoping Alephtar comes up with a bundle for their new Revolution game done with the same attention to detail as their Rome book. If Alephtar gives me a rule book and a beastiary that enables me to easily run a low magic Stormbringer type game while providing the quality I saw in their Rome book I will cough up the cash! Ps- I forgot a book... Unknown Armies is also worth $65...
  20. Yeah I am slowly making my way though it. I am on page 67?. Looks really good so far. Kinda gives me a True Blood vibe since it portrays the supernatural as being out in the open. The rules on "shadowing" are particularly interesting. When I finish ATVW I plan to re-read Enlightened Magic as they hook up nicely.
  21. Rosen, I like the name... Who knows maybe it will spark a D100 revolution :-) ! Three quick questions... 1. You mention hit locations... Will there be rules for aggregate hit points as well? 2. Is there any plans to provide other support materials either as part of the book or as a supplement? A comprehensive bestiary would be great! 3. Will the book be multi-genre like the BGB, focused on fantasy, etc... Your Rome book really dazzled me. I will be supporting you guys...
