  1. Rick one other thing you might look at for After the Vampire Wars is the laminate material on the cover. My copy isn't holding up as well as my other Chaosium books. Great book though! John Snead is a wonderful writer!
  2. Thanks! I am thinking about running this as part of a gritty magic world game I'm running.
  3. K Petersen What are your thoughts on Hellfire? What's it about? Thanks!
  4. I'm interested as well but don't know the answer....
  5. Yeah I feel the same way. We are using the young kingdoms as a setting but the game has a renaissance flavor and the party is more involved with business and political conflicts in the purple towns rather than dungeon crawls. They also have a slight Dispute with the thieves guild...
  6. Yea I am a long time D&D player but my group switched to magic world about 6 months ago. We are still getting used to it but so far so good. We play in the Stormbringer setting but with somewhat less use of demons. We also use free form magic which has been interesting...
  7. Very cool idea! Do you have the Rogue Mistress book? I bought it last month but I haven't read it yet.
  8. I didn't run the adventure but I stole the concept. In my game the Strong Arms is built atop a sea wall and the party won it in high stakes poker. My party loves it, right now they are trying to establish a beer supply route from Jharkor while at the same time building out the basement with more rooms for rent. Course I had to redesign the pub a bit :-)
  9. It's titled "The Strong Arms" and it is in the book "Sea Kings of the Purple Towns". We are not playing it RAW but the concept is awesome...
  10. Not sure freeform magic is what you were thinking of but my players have developed spells to freeze doors shut, build bridges, replace limbs, cause lingering disease, gate and teleport, lay false tracks, mind control vendors, spook horses, go invisible, create illusions, fix a leaky boat and many more... If you like check out the sample spells in the 1.8 version of "The Second Way" found in the download section for what they have developed to date. You can find it here -> http://basicroleplaying.org/files/file/471-the-second-way-draft/
  11. Not me! I want the pictures. It's not the same if you can't show the party what they are fighting... Ronnie
  12. Clarence I will check BRP Space out! Also I saw that it is nearing production. Congratulations! Did you think Worlds Beyond did the starship system badly? Thanks, Ronnie
  13. Hi all, I just oust ordered a well used copy of Worlds Beyond. Took months for a copy to become available. Has anyone here played it? Ronnie
  14. Happy to preorder but doesn't this link only refer to the pdf? Am I missing something obvious? Ronnie
  15. Chris your my new best friend! Can't wait to use Fiend Folio in my campaign! Best,
  16. I think some of that such as developing the kingdom with roads, mines, etc, was handled by some home brew rules recently uploaded by Chris Tooley. Look in the download section... Best!
  17. I agree with Chris. I have been to the previous Glorantha forums and in terms of people being polite and supportive it was similar to BRP Central. Welcome aboard!
  18. Know where I can find his email address? Thanks!
  19. Marcus, What's the best way to send you our homebrew rules for freeform magic in Magic World aka "The Second Way". The file is 1.8MB and too big to include with this post (Though it is downloadable from this site)... Let me know! Ronnie
  20. By the way, I really want worlds beyond but I haven't been able to find it. Anyone want to sell their copy?
  21. Okay I will send some emails... But I want it in any case ?
