  1. See The Guide to Glorantha p.247 … The Larnstings are Orlanthi who can invoke Change and can master the changes created by their very presence. They do not offer sacrifices to Larnste, summon wind spirits, or use wizardry – instead, their very breath knows how to speak the words of power without instruction. Collectively, the Larnstings are a weird brotherhood of magicians who appear, disappear, and reappear throughout history. Their numbers, role, and even powers constantly change and they defy categorization or definition. Sometimes they seem to lead the Hendriki, sometimes that tribe's leaders oppose them, and sometimes they disappear entirely. …
  2. The picture Yelm Entertains the Lords of the World on p.95 of The Glorantha Sourcebook depicts Shargash with spear and mace.
  3. One of my players has had to drop out because Real Life means he can't make the game time. So I'm recruiting more players again. Please follow the LFG link in the first post and post in the Recruitment Thread there. Now at 3rd level with 17 adventures done.
  4. The Guide to Glorantha says Ironhoof, Lord of Beast Valley: The demigod ruler of the Beast Men has reappeared several times throughout – and even before – history, most recently in 1615. He created the Grazeland Pony Breeders and was the first sacred King of Dragon Pass. Ironhoof is a centaur and lord of all horses. In my 13th Age Glorantha campaign Ironhoof is about, but the PCs are in the Castle of Lead right now. Maybe they’ll get to Duck Point and Beast Valley next.
  5. Howls of derisive laughter, Bruce. 😉 Australia has this problem to this very day. We do have some standard gauge railways interstate, now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_gauge_in_Australia
  6. In the HeroQuest Greydogs campaign David Hall ran in Sydney, Branduan was a figure of fun.
  7. IIRC Sun County mentioned Pent Ridge. The HeroQuest: Glorantha book Pavis: Gateway to Adventure includes the Salt Mines of the Big Rubble from pp.335
  8. It was the author of the sheet according to the Roll20 forums thread I'm watching. I spent last night updating my GitHub account and MacOS client to prepare for character sheet work.
  9. IIRC they are sorcery creatures. The Death Stare is invisible, which also means sorcery to me (probably a RQ3 memory). The adventure mentions Detection Blank but that’s currently unavailable. So I’d let Detect Enemies & Find Enemy work as usual.
  10. Whereas I've bought it 4 times. Once for my nephew's iPhone when it was released for iOS, and 3 times for myself on iPad, Android phone, and Steam in 2015. I haven't even installed Steam. 😉 King of Dragon Pass prompted my purchase of an iPad.
  11. I’m happy to report that the Jack O’Bear encounter was a success. It took me a whole Tuesday evening to get the Unpredictable Attacks to work with the Powercards API script in Roll20. In play it was fun, and Corner of the Eye was triggered by Oracle’s Alynx Companion, so we got to see both attacks.
  12. Has anyone mentioned “Parm” Cove? Despite Chicken Parmigiana being really popular pub food, we didn’t name a bay in Sydney town after it. 😉 That’s Farm Cove. Benelong Point has a tram depot on it until it’s replaced by the Nun’s Scrum.
  13. Yes. Please follow the link in the first post and post in the Recruitment thread. I'll invite you to the game and invite you to the Discord channel.
  14. It's an Umathela thing, in Pamaltela. See Guide to Glorantha pp.622 The Wordless Prophet appeared in Varburch in 1129.
  15. I'd like to recruit some new players in 2021. Our Wind Lord is about to leave us because of a new work schedule. We're about to go into Dagori Inkarth if that piques your interest. Chaos Rises!
  16. I didn't include them in the Glorantha Runes Roll20 Token Markers I created because I didn't need them for 13th Age Glorantha. I can make another version with them included if they're wanted.
  17. Traveller was the first RPG I bought in 1981, though I was already playing D&D by then. I read it and tried some systems, but I didn’t try running it until I had an adventure, Annic Nova, to run. The most fun I’ve had playing Traveller was a 3 day free form at a Canberra convention in the mid- to late- 1980s that was co-written by Garth Nix, the author.
  18. I remember someone mentioning years ago on the Glorantha mailing list that Sartar was doing Issaries heroquests.
  19. RuneQuest Classic TrollPak? It’s a classic.
  20. Have you looked at the King of Dragon Pass wiki? https://kingofdragonpass.fandom.com/wiki/King_of_Dragon_Pass_Wiki In particular, there's a list of all the clans, https://kingofdragonpass.fandom.com/wiki/Orlanthi_Clans_in_Dragon_Pass
  21. <waves excitedly> Please pass on “G’day, mate!” to David Hall from Brian, Tom, and me. (He was running us through the Greydogs in HeroQuest 2)
  22. I remember someone somewhere described it as resembling the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana, USA.
  23. Fading out like a video game is dream dragon corpses, but very slowly.
