  1. Cheers, Loz and Pete used to amaze me, now I think I am beginning to expect it!
  2. Great read, lots of fun to edit, how much do I owe ya for the opportunity?
  3. Ah, but what if the quicksand not only is sentient but is also hungry... huh, is ya callin us stoopid? It does have to, and yes it was! As soon as ya said pulp, I opened my copy of ... Design Mechanism’s Mythras’s "Monster Island" page 123.
  4. Yes, but I hate that means I have to railroad whether I wish to or not.
  5. Welcome Of course I could recommend you give our first episode of the Wind Words Podcast. a listen as well We examine Glorantha on a need to know basis for the newbies. You know, what do you need to know. Both great games to start with, but Dorastor can get advanced very quickly! If you do not own the GMs screen and adventure book get it, it will do most everything you could possibly want. To add to my comment above, this is very good to learn what seems a simple society adn what truly is not now. This alone teaches more about Glrantha Truths than anything! Now we pingpong back to The Adventure Book with the GM screen Barbarian or small town civilized on the frontier? Your choice. This is a great way to start as well Pick up Moon Design’s Glorantha Classic. Pavis and the Big Rubble. Yep! Exactly! The options, the options, what is one to do. Yes this would be a great way to get young ‘uns into the game. Yes! See my note of this area’s level of danger above Anyway good luck and welcome.
  6. Always loved Thunder Rebels use of bags of wind that the grandmothers would wield every morning to chase away smoke from the cooking fires, miasma, bad airs and odours and to bring in the their free friends. the fresh breezes! Truly a great way to wake up in a communal stead.
  7. The youngster looked as if he were about to do as his mother had so often predicted he would one day, he looked on the verge of exploding. When his grandfather finally looked over to him and nodded his permission to speak and handed his the sacred talking feather he had been rolling over in his gnarled and ancient talons for the longest of times, the boy did just that. Words exploded out of his at such a velocity the old man looked startled, eyes as wide and dark as cow patties (just like the trickster did the time that Waha... but that is another tale, In this tale the old man looked startled and then began to laugh and would not stop until the young lad began to beat him with the sacred feather. "Stop there grandchild, stop that, you will break the sacred talking feather and then we will never know who’s turn it is to speak.” Holding his sides in pain from the unexpected attack of mirth the old man took his own advice and settled into a serious and sober posture that the boy tried to emulate. “Grandpa, howwillIknowwhenIwillbetalentedenough...” he stopped and gulped...starting again he said, “how will I know when I will be talented enough to dance for the heart of my love in the contests?" The only answer possible...”You will know!" Pleadingly and a wavering voice very near to a sob, “But when will I know I can dance well enough, sing strongly enough, be good enough for to win my one heart’s love" Hard like stone, again the answer...”You will know!”, but shortly after a softer voice continued... “by the signs and you will know these signs for they are,” and in a sing song voice he begins to list them: The gods and goddesses work in very strange ways! And we are getting very excited as we come close to revealing rules and a guide for the participants... heck some might say we are getting loopy, nay punch drunk. So watch and listen for the signs, here or at our Website or on this month’s Wind Words Podcast.
  8. Oh my, thank you sir for a great way to show this to the players when playing the original!
  9. Thanks muck for doing gods’ (and goddess’) work! I do not want to make too much of a fuss about my feelings on FB so, thanks for the assist, good sir! May you harvest many likes and thanks from the help!
  10. Two of my faves. I was lucky enough to be an unofficial member of a an official play testing group in my youth for the latter.
  11. So folks, as you practice your chops and figure out how you want to record your opus we have not been idle and will have more news for you all relatively soon ( a couple of weeks at the most). Happy creating
  12. Screw that! Show no mercy. Release the Grognards!. That’ll learn ‘em!
  13. Yes indeed and we covered their launch and welcomed them heartily aboard the podcast express in our new weekly blog Wind Whispers found @ https://windwords.fm/blog/! Come check us out for fannish Gloranthan Goodness!
  14. Hmm, for your time problem, I find a Tardis to be a great help! Ludo is correct, but note most phones will record, so tell a joke or a story, or a myth, write something and give it to a body with talent instruments millions of dollars worth of gear and... I am getting carried away again aren’t I? and of course... there are people like Nick...
  15. My first thought is, the options... some great roleplaying, man!
  16. Hey @chaosium... has the Canadian Warehouse meant a (substantial) decrease in shipping costs?
  17. Yes it is, but I will not say where as we all want to buy from Chaosium and get our free PDFs in advance and support our buds, right? Here in Valind’s glacier it is a bit expensive to ship! If bought from Chaosium.com a quick letter to customerservice@chaosium.com has always solved in any issues I have had. The customer service has been wonderful. (yet another reason to deal with Chaosium)!
  18. Qua...huh...wh...excu... we weren’t... that was just me dreaming, OH, why did you wake me....zzzzzzzz
  19. Already asked, because I was wondering the same thing. This Trotsky, much like the last (the one from “Not a Dead Communist” website) denies being his own predecessor. In a similar vein, there is a Wanderer wandering around BRP Central. This was my name back in the BBS days.
