  1. Ahh no @AndreJarosch, I should not have quoted you, my bad, I was referring to the project Joerg coauthored specifically, it will give me a bit of insight for a project we are working on. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Joerg, Is there a copy still available of the work that I could buy and therefore benefit you and your co-author and any cause you might (have) been fundraising for, or am I way too late for that? Cheers
  2. Which one is the one Joerg co-authored? We are working on a few projects and seeing an example of his early work would be helpful.
  3. or maybe listen to Wind Words. We will be interviewing our long standing (standing long) Glorantha-phile and fellow podcaster at some point. Jörg, I will need to see a copy of that. Any chance?
  4. Oh what the hell, let's get the whole Wind Words podcast crew weighing in here.... What Joerg is saying is the way I heard it as well, can’t think of the source... I had always assumed that Alda-chur was originally from the ol’ EWF which is supported by the above passage...though not proven. To cause stone to become glass I would think would require the fires from all the dragons from across time and space which coincidentally swept through this territory in the 1100s... Well, the Dragonewts are the only folk bizarre enough to build a city with glass walls so I will not say thee nay, out of hand..."a cluster of curiously organic buildings, and myriad double and triple gateways soar amid curving, twisting streets” does support your argument about the nature of the builders as well. Oh, and if this kind of thinking and debating is of interest... might I recommend a trip to windwords.fm?
  5. As a former Red Seal Chef who graduated academically at the top of his class in the entire province (middle of the class practically, a good cook, but one who knew what was what), what Ludo says is very accurate (enough to make me think you have a bit of history in a kitchen or have read a lot of Anthony Bourdain). We are finding this out with podcasting But yeah, transitioning these thoughts to temples and shrines, I have nothing to add. Everything above says it all except look to MGF for a way to make it good for the table (cooking or RPGing).
  6. No Lloyd, I am afraid yer missing the point, That only proves they really are monsters!
  7. Yes that is an excellent exploration of not only a truly alien race with alien motivations, but an excellent look at first contact. Good call! Oh and to match your criteria the aliens (nicknamed moties wasn’t it?) are not second fiddle, alas not first fiddle either, co-protagonists, perhaps?
  8. So what are our intrepid explorers on the seas of imagination up to this fine day? What kind of mischief ferments in the realms of Imagination? What indeed, you might well ask! What indeed!
  9. Kubrick was a master. And the Shining, wow! I do not often swear here (BRPC), but this movie can still scare the shit out of me.
  10. Alas, one of my favourite authors and heroes had a blog. She passed into the silent lands a few years back. So, based on her getting into the head of a cat, you should see why i sing her praises as one who could get into the head of an alien, no?
  11. Having had to do a little fact checking for a Night of the Quacking Dead, the best resource I could find was Sartar Kingdom of Heroes pages 317 to 325. A wee caveat, Austin, not having this reference, chose to be a little non-canonical but the small discrepancy does not stop the enjoyment of the Monograph nor ruin it as a resource. Proof that canon is not everything, story is! Damn, I hate having to be all ethical and honest.
  12. Any sci fi by Ursula K LeGuin is good in that while her aliens might resemble humans they act according to alien feelings and motivations. Well as well as a human can make an alien act like an alien anyway.
  13. oh I am going to get myself into trouble in an already controversial topic, but what the hell. I hate Kings works, read a bit in the 80’s and figured he couldn’t write his way out of a wet paper bag. On the other hand I have always loved Kubrick and I truly agree with Loic, The Shining, what a great movie. Ducking the certainty of incoming vegetables and looking for a door... exit stage left!
  14. I prefer the number nine bus, it gets me home!
  15. And we are so close and yet so far, Paid a bod yn dwp, we all want to interview you for the podcast and should you agree I am thinking it will have to be for combat clarification!
  16. Damned splchkin demon, hell spawn. evil doer and j-walking malcontent and oathbreaker anyway! Bah, may the impests of a thousand thransgressions infest its nethers! That demon is the bane of my existence on the Fora... Oh sure, be all logical and calm about it!
  17. So sorry Mr. Hibbs, just sang that and must note that the prescribed lyrics are insufficient. As this would only take 10 seconds, I recommend not only repeating this once more, but I strongly recommend adding. “🎶and many mooooooorrrrrrre!”, just to be sure. Your barbaric source of non-fake Covid-19 info smiling bill
  18. And we’ll take every penny of it too, send your donations...OUCH, what the hell! Jörg, why’d ya kick me?
  19. We would love to provide you a free copy, but limos, groupies, hanging out with rock bands, these ain’t cheap man! YaknowwhatImean?
  20. Sure, two podcasts of wonder for the price of one. Woohoo!
  21. Well nothing too crazy for me, it was my 1st and only dive into that version of the eternal champ (also owned Hawkmoon). Seeing as there was never a Jerry Cornelius I will have to try Luther Arkwright, one day. Cheers
  22. Hey MOB, not sure I understand "in masterpiece” (a masterpiece, perhaps?), Seeing as well will mention this on the podcast thought I would ask.
