  1. Here is the description from Drivthrurpg... Carts full of corpses slide through the muddy streets of a deserted city. Monks copy manuscripts silently in their cold monastery rooms. A hammer falls again and again on glowing red metal in a blacksmith shop. Fragrant flowers perfume private courtyard gardens. Grim and silent soldiers march the dusty roads in search of enemies, both infidel or faithful. This is the world of the Middle Ages, which our ancestors knew, and which shaped our present. But beyond this human world, in the most shadowy depths of the woods, in the loneliest cave, in the most obscure cell, in the dimmest chambers of the human heart, legends live. Here, demons haunt castles, elves skulk in the forest, alchemists concoct spells, and witches laugh and laugh around their campfire in a forest clearing bathed in moonlight, as the demon sitting among them raises his goatish head and grins, directly at you, dear reader, saying, "Welcome to the aquelarre; welcome to the coven." It's basically a D100 game (extremey similar to BRP) that takes place in medevial Spain. In the game the players embark on adventure fighting demons and haunts and maybe occasionaly angels. Its an extremely realistic (to the middle ages) game with the beliefs of the time effectively modeled for the players.
  2. Too bad as I think Chaosium could probably do more with the title than Nocturnal - but I do understand! Thanks Chaosium for helping out with fulfillment!
  3. Woops - apparently not But Welcome anyway!
  4. Me too. I even bought both versions of After the Vampire Wars.
  5. I would say it's as close to bog standard BRP as CoC is - at least. It really should be in Chaosium's wheelhouse if they can get it. There are several scenarios available but most of them are in Spanish. I bought all the English stuff. It's really a great, great product!
  6. Hey Chaosium, I don't know to what degree you guys were involved in the development and rollout of Aquellarra but this thing is a GEM and it's pure BRP. Please buy it or negotiate to bring it in house or something... And please create some scenarios and campaigns for it in English. Your fans would appreciate it!
  7. Well I don’t think there are but I’m pretty sure John Snead (correct me if I’m wrong John) would disagree as well as a lot of people in the occult scene.
  8. Okay. I am game. An "accurate" magic system is one that realistically represents one of the actual magic systems in the world today. So maybe something that models WIcca, or HooDoo or possibly Kaballah.
  9. Thanks I will review the rules. Want me to create a character? If so how do you want to handle dice rolls? Any guidelines? Thanks again! Ronnie
  10. Assuming 7:45 PM GMT is 2:45 PM CST i’m Game. But you should know I have only played Delta Green a few times and don’t know the rules so I’m a newbie. Let me know! PS - I have the books so charger shouldn’t be a problem
  11. Yeah SDLeary has it right. Its for sale at Chaosium. A couple of things to know about Enlightened Magic. FIrst it's written by John Snead a practicing WIccan Priest. Second he added a lot of umph to the spells but they are still far from flashy. Using an Enlightened Magic spell it wouldn't be too hard to have your enemy slip on some steps and break his neck (something thats plausible but unlikely) but creating a fireball would be hard. The magic is VERY subtle. THe third things to know is that most of the magic is ritualistic. Highly recommended if you want something to model what we think of as today's occult.
  12. I recommend Enlightened Magic. With it I have always wanted to duplicate the magic in The Craft.
  13. I haven’t read Legend but Blood Magic sounds the most cool 🙂
  14. An RPG with Mathilda May on the cover? I’d buy it! PS - I like the idea of using Lifeforce vampires.
  15. I am having a hard time to get my group to commit to year long campaigns. How many sessions (say 4 or 5 hours) would you expect this campaign to take. I can probably talk them into a game a week for 3 or 4 months might be challenging beyond that.
  16. Occam's Razor is a collection of mundane investigations that seem otherwise. Kind of in the vein of True Detective. It will be put out by Stygian Fox. Its coming along but its way behind schedule.
  17. Waiting with anticipation...
  18. I agree with this totally. Scenarios that last six to ten sessions would be perfect for us.
  19. WIR stands for "Where I read". It's just a summary of each chapter. Still it can be a lot of work. A review is great too! Chaosium has been planning to do a Science FIction game maybe New Horizons ould be the start of that.
  20. Would you be interested in doing a WIR? I bet a lot of us would appreciate it!
  21. Wow! That was very insightful. That signals a depth that other BRP games don’t have.
  22. That travel guide to Athens you provided a link to will be quite helpful for a game I am preparing. Thank you!
  23. I would like to see rules and setting material for something like Blade Runner's Replicants. So setting material about companies or governments making vat grown humans (pseudo humans) specifically engineered certain tasks. Normal tasks (police officer, blade runner, etc...) might not require anything special in terms of characteristics or special abilities but others such as replicants designed to live on a space station or explore space might be different (size might be different. maybe the occasional prehensile tail, perhaps claws instead of feet). Likewise replicants designed to work underwater might be amphibians and replicants designed for manual labor might be stronger than normal. There is a HUGE amount of information and ideas on this in GURPS Transhuman Space.
