  1. I like the idea of Chaosium producing Gloranthan RuneQuest and The Design Mechanism producing Alternate Earth and other RuneQuest.
  2. I tend to use the What's new feature, rather than going through the forums. It means I have to wade through the occasional post that doesn't really float my boat, but that's a small price to pay. If I had to look at all the forums to see what was new, like I did on the Moon Design forums, then it wouldn't be half as useful as it is now.
  3. Gloranthan maps on an App that means I could fly through Glorantha? Fantastic. Doing it on my mobile phone? Not so good. I'd love this as an option for a Windows PC, though.
  4. Asrelia/Ty Kora Tek, Ernalda/Manan Gor and Voria/babeester Gor belong to the Earth Pantheon as much as the Storm Pantheon. In fact, Vinga is the only real daughter of Orlanth/Ernalda and she is a non-virgin warrioress. It all depends what you want. Eiritha is a herd-mother and wife of Storm Bull, brother of Orlanth. The land goddesses and grain goddesses might belong to the Earth and Storm pantheons. Uleria might be considered part of the Storm Pantheon, but might also be considered above the Pantheons. The Mistress of Inspiration is a knowledge goddess and is part of the Storm Pantheon.
  5. I, for one, would prefer Scanned/OCRed PDFs as I could then legalise the ones that I might, or might not, have.
  6. Well, this forum's layout and design is far better that the one at Moon Design and a lot easier to use. I hope it can remain the force for discussion that it always has been.
  7. Is it out yet? I haven't seen it advertised anywhere.
  8. I think you need a certain number of posts before you can edit posts.
  9. What new grid version? I use the Unread Items search to view unread topics and look at them, so I almost never go into the forums themselves.
  10. The BBC has an article on this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-34425615 - Bouqets of barbed wire and clubs hidden in dresses, perfect for a RPG.
  11. Edit Profile - Basic Info - Member Title First block on the profile.
  12. I feel your pain - Merrie England has been through two systems and is soon to be on its third, due to licensing issues. Don;t feel that it is time wasted, instead think of it as honing and improving the system.
  13. Isn't it a configurable field on your profile? I didn't get to be RQ Fogey by doing any work - just made it so.
  14. Say something nice about CoC? Sorry, I can't ...
  15. It is one of the best things about the new RuneQuest! I am easily pleased ...
  16. Nah, the best thing to do is to wait to see what happens, then complain bitterly for 20 years.
  17. I have always used the priest's skill, for convenience.
  18. My guess is that what people want on forums will not make the slightest bit of difference to what they actually get. Business decisions should not be made as knee-jerk reactions to forum comments.
  19. Who needs William Tell when we already have William of Cloudsley? He shot an apple off his son's head at 60 paces.
  20. If it's anything like my "agreement" with my spouse, if you break it then you don't get to write any more RPG supplements. Never underestimate the power of a spouse to stop you doing things you enjoy ...
  21. Merrie England has has several incarnations: Merrie England: Age of Eleanor - MRQ and was a basic Medieval England supplement which went out of print when Mongoose lost the RuneQuest licence. Merrie England: Age of Chivalry - BRP and included all of ME:AoE plus a lot more (Guilds, The Afterlife, Ranks of Demons, Fairy Village Campaign) which went out of print when Alephtar could not renew the BRP licence Merrie England:Robyn Hode - RD100 will include most of ME:AoE as a core, together with some of the extra stuff from ME:AoC, but with a different campaign with a Robyn Hode focus, new rules for different contests (Archery, Wrestling, Music in addition to the Jousting rules), a lot of scenario hooks and short writeups of people from the area surrounding Sherwood Forest. In future, if all goes well, I plan on having a number of Merrie England follow-ups, with Merrie England: Age of Crusade and ME:Heaven and Hell containing some of ME:AoC but with a lot more detail and different campaigns. So, if you buy ME:Age of Chivalry then between a third and a half will be replicated in Robyn Hode, simply because this is a new incarnation of the setting. However, between half and two-thirds will be new material. Even the old material will be repackaged and rewritten to take into account the RD100 ruleset. I would have liked to have a core Merrie England supplement, covering basic Medieval English life, with different supplements covering different areas, but it hasn't quite happened that way. Age of Chivalry was a number of planned supplements bundled together with the core supplement. Robyn Hode strips some of the bundled supplements away, allowing them to be used in future, but expands the Robyn Hode setting and campaign.
  22. Restructuring an entire company takes time, yes, but how many employees does Chaosium/Moon Design have? It isn't like General Motors and Ford are merging. I expect everything will turn out OK in the end and that our favourite games continue.
