Dethstrok9
I've been seeing a ton of negative effects of this virus other than just symptoms, including Chaosium postponing their convention in the land down under, so it got me thinking... Has this crisis been harming your gaming or making it difficult to play? Have you had to switch to playing over Discord or Skype or Roll20 to overcome it? 1 Quote -Voice of the Legion

Has this crisis been harming your gaming or making it difficult to play? Have you had to switch to playing over Discord or Skype or Roll20 to overcome it? Quite the reverse. New Group/Campaign (1610 but using RQG) in addtion to the 2 RQG 1626 and 1 Witcher TTRPG I already play in. Only the Witcher game runs face-face so I guess that might get impacted later. We're good so far. On the negative side my monthly Hit-People-With-Chunks-of-metal practise got cancelled. 1
Dethstrok9
Well, that's sad. I still think back to the time you first hit me with that crowbar... Ahh memories. But in all honesty, that's great, glad to hear you haven't been harmed by this. 1 Quote -Voice of the Legion
Joerg
Indirectly. I had a game weekend scheduled for 28th of March, but one of the participants from farther away had his seminars cancelled due to Corona countermeasures, which would have paid for his trip. Convention cancellations are going to pile up, too. 1 Quote Telling how it is excessive verbis

soltakss
I cancelled tonight's session, as I am working from home due to a cough, as a precaution. So, yes, it has affected our gaming schedule. Fortunately, we play every Monday, so can pick up again next week. The cough has almost cleared up, so probably wasn't Covid-19. 2 Quote Simon Phipp - Caldmore Chameleon - Wallowing in my elitism since 1982. Many Systems, One Family. foolcat
Nope. Next scheduled 2 day session is going to go down as planned. 6 players + GM meeting for another fine installment of our current WH40k Dark Heresy campaign. Just keep in mind that while the Emperor protects, Grandfather Nurgle cherishes each and every one of his children! ...well, maybe the one germophobe person among us may find more pressing reasons to stay at home, but that’s their loss.
Cloud64
Yes, Ive knocked things on the head for now. I game/socialise four evenings a week with different groups, so the risk of me picking it up and becoming a carrier is high. I'm not worried for myself, but my contact with vulnerable people makes me choose to err on the side of prudence. Still having a session this week though, which we run fortnightly; whether it continues will depend on what happens in the next two weeks. 1

Phil Hendry
Our usual host has cancelled all games at his house 'until the epidemic is over' and has gone into total lockdown. So we'll need to play at one of our alternative venues... And maybe recruit another player - three of us, including GM, doesn't feel like enough.
Dethstrok9
Sucks that so many are effected in different ways. I pray to God this epidemic comes to a close as soon as possible, meanwhile, make sure you do everything you can to stay safe. Until they create a profitable solution to their likely engineered problem(:) 1 Quote -Voice of the Legion

Once again, I meant no offense and was joking. Sorry if I was being insensitive. Also, what happened to "China made it as a weapon and accidentally released it"? I thought that was the official story, which would mean it was engineered, unless I'm wrong. Quote -Voice of the Legion

That was, to put it bluntly, "fake news." Someone speculated, "hey maybe it could have been..." and the fearmongers picked it up and ran with it as if it were proven fact. I'll even go on to caution you that -- if your news feeds have fed you that "misinformation" and not corrected to the real info -- you may be relying on news that intentionally pursues fearmongering over facts; it's the profitable model of producing "news" these days. https://www.cancerhealth.com/article/tracking-coronavirus-epidemic-wuhan-world Quote “If you look for evidence of genetic engineering, you can find none whatsoever. Nick Brooke
Quote Has this crisis been harming your gaming or making it difficult to play? Yup. I've just cancelled my scheduled monthly RuneQuest sessions, my excellent local club (the Role Play Haven) has cancelled its weekly game nights, my best mate's postponed a Call of Cthulhu campaign, a boardgame last weekend fell through... so my gaming's been somewhat affected. On the other hand, it frees up more time for me to work on books. So that's a plus. (Arguably) 2 Quote Community Ambassador - Jonstown Compendium, Chaosium, Inc.
