  1. Being strong in the Man rune enables you to mate with anything or so I thought. Its mentioned in the write up of Pavis.
  2. I was hoping some of us could play test too.
  3. Was he initially a troll friend? Adari is full of trolls.
  4. Did Pavis show any of his plantlike ancestory? Was he part plant or fully human despite his odd mix. Oddly he seems to have no Aldryami magic.
  5. Pavis, half elf, half what? What do we really know about him? Who were his parents? Why Adari? Was he born there or did he just live there? Do we really like him? Adari: my current ruler is the self appointed sheriff Rollon Beaksharp, a notorious Durulz bandit and leader of a nefarious band of adventurers. He reckons Pavis was half duck.
  6. So what kind of weather can my poor players be expecting in the Wastes during Dark Season? It's the first day of the season for them, their light/fire magic is weak and the shadows are lengthy...
  7. So this. When I advertised for a duck only game i was overwhelmed with folk wanting to play. They are the key to the Herowars!
  8. I just want a book that both my partner and my daughter can pick up and be happy flipping through. Nudity is fine, cheese cake is not. For sure Glorantha is filled with sexuality i just don't need to see women in daft unnatural poses with skimpy clothes. Which i know i wont. With the huge amounts of money raised each kickstarter i sleep easily knowing that the Chaosium crew will have it sorted.
  9. I agree wi I like this, especially the blood red flower at tourney altar ( used to stop bleeding?) and certainly agree with each oasis having it's own micro ecology going on. We can see this at the Bigglestone with their mushrooms and beetles for example.
  10. What about healing herbs and the such? I agree that the Wastes has little in the way of plants, but for me at any rate twenty types over such a large area is a bit small. I'd love to see the species of animals list.
  11. I've often wondered the same thing and have on occasion had their mounds fill the plains, especially the further East you go in the Wastes. With giant ones close to the Tunnelled Hills. The riders that frequent that far out carry long sticks in their belts.
  12. Good suggestion or a trip to Tourney Altar... Both would work.

  14. She must bring a fertility artefact of Ronance from the Paps to his oasis in the Wastes and therefore needs a party to guard it. Or she wishes to find some of his lost pathways that link the many oasis after receiving visions. Locate a lost oasis perhaps? Or has heard rumours of where the Eye of Genert is. Her snake allied spirit spoke at the last earth ceremony, giving some riddle about the whereabouts of *Insert-stuff* and only she can find it. etc etc
  15. Baboon! and a duck as already mentioned. I used savage worlds to run a short Praxian game where all the characters were Baboons.
  16. I spent a lot of my twenties living in India, especially up in Himachal pradesh, high valleys that get lots of rainfall and are cold in winter, hot in summer. Their houses have always been in my mind when imagining mountainous Sartar. I would rent rooms with my friends and often a whole house and on several occasions ran Runequest games. Wood and mud/cow shit walls, heavy slate roofs, mud floors. Living upstairs with big horned cattle below.
  17. These are the types of heroquests my players start all the time, linking their actions and enemies/obstacles to mythical events, gaining boons to their actions and hopefully attaining their objective. Keeps them connected to their gods and to the land they travel in. Certainly enriches the surrounding as landmarks suddenly become important in the story, both in the past and the present.
  18. So what's going on with the pics on the walls? I recognise Grandmother spider.
  19. Grenades, flintlock pistols, riding griffins and names like Sandy Saltpeterson and Wrong John Silver.... Pretty much sums up Griffin mt dwarves. About 4 pages of stats, personalities and a bit of background.
  20. I always liked the dwarves in Griffin mountain, especially the names. Igneous Mash has stuck with me for decades.
  21. In my opinion the adversaries are folk who just so happen to be starting their own heroquest (having been drawn into the collaboration mythically/magically). Eg Sun Domers begin their own ceremonies, crossing over to defend the Sun realm from interlopers and receive defensive magic vs the Storm pantheon and run into the player characters. Or Temples read the signs, get portents or know that it's Storm season and on the Orlanth Holy day they'd better be prepared and send some heroes to do their stuff. Same in reverse. Temples would feel the harmonics of those pesky woad wearing cloud huggers girding their loins etc etc
  22. Love this. I shall be using these coins in my game.
  23. In the same game the players found a concrete Mostali tomb/storage facility, filled with oddities such as interactive clockwork maps, underwater breathing gear, tins of Spam and the obligitory Gobbler called Big Mouth....and exploding traps of course. We think its powered by some sort of water (spirit) powered *fusion* drive. Kinda.
