  1. Well, there are many magical and mythical obstacles to travelling across Genertela so I'd say size doesn't really matter...
  2. As a RQ referee, I do hope we will also be able to have access to the 'cults of terror' write-ups!
  3. A Lamentations of the Flame Princess in Glorantha rpg would actually be pretty cool.
  4. Well, the USofA is a fantasy place, sort of. Most people I know are only familiar with it via comics and films.
  5. I have re-read the thread and I believe the following were not reported: p59 “The stone friezes pictured here comes from the notes compiled by the noted cartographer Song of Roses who mapped the Redstone Caverns.” p66 “Sramake”
  6. Also under 'Monk' the sentence "In a couple cases, like the Sun Shield Monk..." should read "In a couple of cases, like the Square Round Monk..."
  7. p96, Classes At the bottom of the table: ***The troll adept, like the druid it is based on, is likely to vary these stats based it talents. This sentence doesn't mean anything, does it?
  8. I have seen the daimyō exhibit of armours and arms yesterday in Paris [http://www.hotels-paris-rive-gauche.com/blog/2018/02/15/expo-daimyo-paris-guimet-palais-tokyo/], and some of the helmets were unbefuckinglievable. I think a cool horned helmet would warrant a +3 (or even +6) bonus if appropriately narrated.
  9. On page 3, amongst the KS backers, there is a gentleman referenced to as Ignacio RodrÃguez Chaves. I suspect his real name is Ignacio Rodríguez Chaves. Same remark with Jérome Bianquis and Jérome Bianquis. Likewise, on page 4, there is a gentleman referenced to as Pablo DomÃnguez Castro. I suspect his real name is Pablo Domínguez Castro. These typos smell of copy and paste from two sources using different character encoding sets.
  10. p157, the following sentence is awkward: The deity from Ssar On Gror, who was born of Darkness and had the shape of a giant scorpion.
  11. English is not my first language but on p153 shouldn't it read its principal author was rather than its principle author was?
  12. My understanding is that RQ:G will be pretty standalone since it will be three books to start with — provided you play in the larger Dragon Pass area. As mentioned by @g33k, RQ:G is going to be sufficiently backwards compatible with RQ2 that you won't need to purchase new books in order to play in Balazar or Prax provided you simply re-use the RQ2 books. However playing in the West, the centre of the Lunar Empire, the East, the Isles, Pamaltela... will warrant bespoke books since character creation and the array of spells available to player characters are heavily slanted towards central Genertela.
  13. I'm not advocating the fact that there should be zillions of Runes (I am definitely in favour of a restricted set*, as I have written several times on my blog). I was wondering whether the missing rune in the Cult Compendium was a typo of sorts. *even though I do miss the 'Issaries' rune in RQ:G
  14. I was re-reading the Cult Compendium and I noticed the following under 'Sun Dragon': Text: The Runes of the Sun Dragon are Dragon, Sun, and Mysticism. Yet only the Dragon and Sun runes illustrate the article. I was wondering what the original author thought the Mysticism rune should look like. I know there was one in Hero Wars, but I reckon this article predates HW.
  15. Has anybody read the novel set in the same universe (The Worm Within)? It was amazing.
  16. You can create the characters per the usual RQ2 rules with the following modifications: no Defence skill (replaced with Dodge, which starts at DEX×2) starting characters are already initiates; allow 3 points of Battle Magic raise two skills to 80% raise four skills to 60% add three passions at 60% add one Elemental Rune at 60%, one at 40%, one at 20% add 3 rune points and use the Rune Magic rules per the QuickStart rules Voilà.
  17. You can Dodge missile attacks in RQ:G.
  18. Are the Kitori trolls? I thought they were Darkness-worshipping humans.
  19. Issue No.4 of my zine 'The Hanging Garden' has a nice description of Swenstown with lots of NPCs, http://2ndage.blogspot.com/p/the-hanging-garden.html It is also available in the Downloads section here (
