I am running Eleven Lights campaign as GM and it is year 1622, Orlanth is Dead... That is played with RQG-rules. I am a player in sea campaign, and the scenario is Storms in the Deep. I am also player in Cthulhu campaign, but I have no idea of what official scenario it is I am playing. It has gangsters and The Temple of Hope.

I was half-way through playtesting my next scenario for the Jonstown Compendium when lockdown stopped play.

(It's a tussle with some trollkin in a cellar, not one of my lozenge-spanning Hero Wars epics, he lied fluently)

I'm in a similar spot to Nick - playtesting for the JC, a curse-breaking adventure tentatively titled "The Fouled Earth". We haven't played in a while due to life stuff, but with the lockdown we initially kept consistent games over Discord. Prior to this adventure, I ran my players through "Gloomwillow's Hollow" from The Pegasus Plateau. Believe my co-GM has a hunting interlude planned next, and after I'm planning to run "The Pairing Stones" (again from TPP) since I found a couple nasty little plot hooks for my group's Bison tribe adventurer...

Oh, and at some point they need to go kill Krampus again.

I started a campaign about 11 weeks ago.  The players were in a Red Cow setting which had been converted to RQ:G, and backed up the timeline quite a few years to allow the players to learn the world and the system before things really kick off.  I used Early Family History by Jacob Andersson!   https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/297538/Early-Family-History?src=hottest_filtered   But the party ultimately bailed and moved to Pavis, in part to seek their fortunes, and in part to protest the timidity of the clan.   I'm not sure when or if they plan to go back, but I'm planning a "reckoning of the Shire" scenario if they wait too long.

Most recently (just this week) they completed The Devil's Playground, and thoroughly enjoyed it.   The classics are the classics for a reason, methinks.  The hybrid broos and Krarshtkids were a shock to the neophytes, and they barely pulled out an exit from the tunnels with one party member (the Orlanthi rebel) scoring about 90% of the actual kills.  They were out of magic points and Rune points in the end, which made it a "real" Runequest fight in my book.  /evil GM laugh.  Ah......memories.

Next session will be dealing with the many political consequences.  And possibly the revenge of Gim Gim the Grim.

I’m running the Colymar campaign, from the adventures book, GM screen pack, for a group of players, a few kids (7-11) and their parents, all bar one new to RQ (with me an old hand, but lapsed…)

Its progressing remotely during lockdown, via Microsoft teams, which is working fine.

I’ve used two of the scenarios, Apple Lane, and Dragon of Thunderhills.  The rest have been home written.  The introduction scenario had the players rescuing the “prisoners” of the Lunar Slave Farms during the dragon rise liberation of Sartar.  This means they’ve quite a number of useful contacts throughout the Sartar lands (though they offed an NPC whom I’d assumed would be an ally, the result of an unfortunate misunderstanding.  So, they’re going to learn about blood feuds…)

The last scenario had them finding innovative ways of disposing of a couple of Spinosaurs, without getting close enough to be eaten…  A Lunar sorcerer had fled to the Spinosaur flats, using his magic to control said Spinosaurs, and, in his first step to world domination, eradicated a herd of Hadrosaurs, the last member rescued by the players (with a clutch of 5 eggs), earning it’s undying loyalty.  The Hadrosaur’s going to move into Apple Lane (the youngest player is dying to become a Dinosaur rider).

Next up is Kallyr’s failed Lightbringers quest, then Pegasus Plateau, Queen’s Battle, followed by a trip to Pavis, for a  reprise of Vasana’s role in calling on Argrath to try to unite the tribes of Sartar, using the Salinarg’s Cairn hook.

We’re having an absolute hoot…

Paused running dark age Britons using a modified Revolution D100. Might start up again Online soon.

When back to face to face, hopefully will be playing in a RQG campaign using RQG/JC Scenarios. It won't be in Dorastor, though, which is good, as I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that.

I was playing a crocodile hsunchen in a Masloi pirates campaign, with RQ3 rules, last March until Covid hit.

Afterwards I played a Jedi knight with HeroQuest 2.0 for several one-shot sessions until summer.

In June I ran a playtest of a RQG scenario on Roll20 for a local games convention.

Yesterday I finished running a short Cthulhu scenario to my friends on Telegram.

I GM a Borderlands-campaign (1615) using RQG-rules where the adventurers currently are on loan from Duke Raus to solve a problem for the Sandheart militia (pt 2 of the JC Sandheart campaign).

My 1626 Colymar campaign is paused. The adventurers had just stolen the big eye of a Lunar temple statue and were returning to (possibly) bask in glory at the Clearwine fort. We rotated GM and I now play in a Middle Earth campaign using RQ3 rules. We're a mix of people from the lake area east of Mirkwood currently escorting a merchant to a spring festival.

From a GM perspective:

My RQG campaign is Colymar-based, and started with the Broken Tower.  Everything else has been home-made scenarios.  They did a quest to gain a Vision of the Future for Queen Leika and the Colymar (recreated the quest of Colymar himself).  As part of that vision, they are now trying to reassembling some of the regalia/treasures of the Colymar.  Currently, they are after the Horn of the Forgotten - said to have been lost in Snakepipe Hollow (which is where they currently are).

My HQG campaign is the Orlmarth clan of the Colymar.  After the long quest in the Underworld to free Orane (successfully achieved), they've finished the Feast of Beasts, and one of the heroes has agreed to undertake the 3 Tasks for Ernalsulva.  Surprisingly, the hero bested Killer Branduan in a duel - and they agreed to become "Friendly" Rivals to attempt the quests.  In the meantime, while the heroes wait until after Planting to go to Boldhome, they are on the trail of something that is haunting the dreams of the Wildlings (and other children) - liberally borrowing some NPC's from both the Valley of Plenty and Six Seasons in Sartar.

From a player perspective:

I'm an assistant shaman of Daka Fal currently off to Smoking Ruins.  We're currently fighting off an incursion of undead from the Upland Marsh enroute to our destination.

(All of my games are PbF on the RPGGeek site.)

I hated that map as a GM. :)

I've always loved it, but then I've always loved Wind Cave. Someday I need to run an expanded Dyskund Caverns using my poster map of Wind Cave from 1978, or maybe I should get a more current map, the mapped portion of the cave has doubled or more since 1978...

Currently running AD&D module UK5 Eye of the Serpent heavily interpreted into my version of Glorantha under RQ1 (1978) rules. Bigger picture the party is heading towards Pavis having started with Rainbow Mounds from Apple Lane and followed by Lair of the White Wyrm from White Dwarf magazine.

Haven't done any pnp gaming in years. Looking to get back into it; I recently picked up D&D5e & started working on an alternate Mystara based campaign. Then I stumbled across & purchased RQG...have a feeling my D&D is getting back burnered. lol The setting is so rich that I feel like anything's possible but likely to start out with the quick start scenario just to get my feet wet. Planning to pick up The Smoking Ruin & likely to grab pdf's of old classics & convert as well. Really impressed with the quality of everything I've seen so far & regret getting such a late introduction to Glorantha. Better late than never though!

Just ran the "Dragon of Thunder Hills".  The Dragon was a bit of a letdown really in the end - One Bite of the Praxian for 30pts of damage (it was parried and after shiled and armor only 12pts went through to hit the arm where 12pts was not enough to sever the arm, and since it was a 5HP arm only 10 pts recorded).  Immediately following the bite, the Babeester Gor axe maiden critical-ed with her greataxe (scoring 42Hp damage) and the dragon was dead.  Fortunately everyone enjoyed the build up and the heroic end will be remembered a long while.

It's worth getting the rest of the set.

Not only is the Bestiary just as impressive as the core book, the "GM Screen Pack" is wildly under-advertised... it comes with a 128-page book of playable content, including three adventures and a Colymar-tribal-lands sourcebook & mini-sandbox campaign setting.

I'm currently running the Six Seasons in Sartar campaign for a group of 4, only the last season remains. It has been the first full campaign I have GMd, so it has been far from perfect, but I have learned a lot.

After we finish I think I'm going to go with a more sandboxy campaign that starts with the Colymar Campaign and later includes the Smoking Ruin and Pegasus Plateau stories.

A great youtube rpg talking guy, Seth Skorkowsky, has a video on it, he always offers valuable advice that can improve any adventure. I leave the link if you are interested because I definetly wish it had existed when I ran it.

Thanks for the replies. Really makes me feel welcome! Did pick up the Bestiary & Glorantha Sourcebook as well & very pleased with both. The GM screen is actually arriving in the mail Monday & look forward to it after seeing some rave reviews regarding the outstanding quality. To be honest, outstanding quality looks like the standard for Chaosium these days! 😊

The GM pack is so much more than the screen... 🙂
